And from the sounds, they seemed to be getting closer...

This was a place of trouble; it was not advisable to stay long.

Just then, a message arrived via his battle imprint. Lu Ye checked it and saw it was from Yi Yi.

"Lu Ye, Lu Ye, Ju Jia brought so many giant wolves!"

Lu Ye looked at the message, momentarily confused. What did "brought so many giant wolves" mean?

Just as he was about to ask for clarification, a snow-white figure galloped into view, heading his way.

On the back of that snow-white figure sat another tall figure.

Staring at the tall figure, Lu Ye was momentarily stunned. Amber, perched on Lu Ye's shoulder, also widened its tiger eyes, staring at the scene in surprise.

A moment later, the snow-white figure stopped about thirty-three meters from Lu Ye, its wolf eyes steadily gazing at him, its soft fur fluttering in the wind.

Behind it, no fewer than a hundred giant wolves followed closely.

Lu Ye finally understood what Yi Yi's words meant: Ju Jia truly had brought a large pack of giant wolves!

What was going on? Lu Ye was momentarily bewildered. Ju Jia was merely a body cultivator; he had never heard of him possessing beast-taming abilities. How could he possibly be allied with so many giant wolves?

And judging by the situation, the entire wolf pack seemed to be obeying his commands.

Amber leaped from Lu Ye's shoulder onto Ju Jia's head, skillfully settling down.

In the wild mountains, two figures, one tall and one short, stood facing each other. Behind the tall figure, hundreds of snow-white giant wolves waited quietly, creating an indescribably strange scene.

Lu Ye leaned sideways, looking past Ju Jia's large figure at the giant wolves, and asked in a low voice, "What's going on?"

For now, it seemed these giant wolves had been brought by Ju Jia and showed no malice toward him or Ju Jia. But Lu Ye was still uneasy. How had Ju Jia managed to subdue such a formidable wolf pack after only half a year apart?

"They're following me," Ju Jia said with a helpless expression.

"Why?"

Ju Jia shook his head, indicating he wasn't entirely sure himself.

He had simply been waiting for Lu Ye on that spiritual peak. A few days prior, he had woken to find a large pack of giant wolves gathered around him. Today, when he tried to leave, the wolf pack followed. He still didn't understand why they insisted on following him.

Unable to get a clear answer, Lu Ye relented and said, "Then come with me. I've arranged to meet with Fourth Senior Brother and Senior Sister Feng; we'll go find them."

"Okay," Ju Jia agreed without objection.

Lu Ye raised his hand, summoning his spirit boat, and called out to Yi Yi. Yi Yi, who had been lurking nearby, immediately revealed herself, greeted Ju Jia, and then leaped onto the spirit boat.

Ju Jia also stepped onto the spirit boat.

However, just then, the snow-white figure rushed forward like a gale, directly colliding with the spirit boat. It sent the spirit boat flying, causing Lu Ye and the others to land awkwardly.

Amber jumped down from Ju Jia's head, shook its body, and with a surge of demon energy, revealed its true form, striding majestically toward the alpha wolf.

Immediately after, Lu Ye witnessed a scene he struggled to comprehend.

Amber and the alpha wolf roared and howled at each other, conversing for almost a quarter of an hour before Amber finally turned and walked back.

Yi Yi stood beside Lu Ye, perceiving Amber's thoughts, and understood: "They don't want Ju Jia to leave. They want him to stay. The alpha wolf even said that Ju Jia is their sacred being."
