Chapter 2396: Solving the Problem

Few people knew about the astonishing battle in the Puling Star System. After all, it wasn't a major star system, and hardly anyone paid attention to it.

However, the news of the new Abyssal Gate opening slowly spread.

Because this Abyssal Gate connected to the Inner Realm, where the Abyssal aura was extremely dense and free from external disturbances, it became the ideal place for Starfield Sunstriders to advance to the Dao Realm, according to Elder Tree's plan.

Over the following period, all cultivators qualified to enter the Dao Realm flocked to the Abyssal Gate in the Puling Star System.

It must be said that this superior environment was unmatched by the six major war zones. According to Elder Tree's statistics, the success rate for Starfield cultivators breaking through to the Dao Realm here increased by a full 30% compared to records from the six war zones!

This was a significant improvement, meaning that Starfield cultivators would find it easier to enter the Dao Realm in the future.

It was, paradoxically, quite ironic.

Currently, among the seven Abyssal Gates in the Starfield, this one was the most dangerous, potentially becoming the source of the Starfield's destruction. Yet, for the next thirty years, it would also be the safest and bring immense benefits to the Starfield.

Every cultivator who came here to advance and break through would see, from a distance, the figure seated before the Abyssal Gate.

No Starfield cultivator was unfamiliar with Lu Ye. Even those who hadn't interacted with him knew something about him; the current stability of the Starfield was entirely due to his efforts.

He was the Starfield's greatest contributor.

Yet, all the cultivators who came here inexplicably sensed an endless desolation and loneliness emanating from that figure, which was both heartbreaking and poignant.

Lu Ye's perception was very keen. Although no one had approached to disturb him during this time, merely bowing from a distance before leaving, he still sensed something from the passing cultivators.

He was indeed lonely, but he was also fortunate.

Billions of beings in the Starfield remembered his sacrifice and efforts, but Yun Shiwang's choice remained unknown to anyone except him and Elder Tree.

The entire Starfield cultivation world didn't even know of Yun Shiwang's existence.

On this day, several more figures arrived, preparing to break through to the Dao Realm.

But unlike other cultivators who observed from a distance, they headed straight towards Lu Ye's location.

They soon approached.

"Ma Shangsi greets Senior!" an excited voice called out.

"This humble maid greets Master!" followed by a soft, alluring voice.

Lu Ye, who had been lowering his head, deep in thought, slowly raised his gaze, revealing a slightly weathered face. His eyes held no spark, only a murky emptiness.

Ma Shangsi was startled. Since he had known Lu Ye, he had never seen him look like this.

Xuan Yu and Xiang Yin, the two sisters, couldn't help but gasp simultaneously.

"It's you..." Lu Ye's gaze slowly focused. He had just sensed someone approaching but hadn't paid much attention. Only now did he realize they were his three Blood Attendants.

It had been many years since they last met.

The last time Lu Ye returned to Kyushu, these individuals were diligently cultivating with Little Nine's assistance and had no idea Lu Ye was back. By the time they found out, Lu Ye had already left, leaving them greatly annoyed.

Now, having finally gained the qualifications to advance to the Dao Realm, and with Lu Ye stationed here, they naturally came to pay their respects immediately.

"Master... what's wrong?" Xiang Yin, who was the most likable and previously the boldest, couldn't help but get teary-eyed at the sudden sight of Lu Ye's dejected state, almost on the verge of tears.

Lu Ye waved his hand. "It's nothing, just some things I haven't figured out." He then composed himself slightly, a look of pleasant surprise on his face. "Are you here to break through to the Dao Realm?"

Ma Shangsi replied, "Yes, Senior. We are all at the peak of Sunstrider cultivation now. After Elder Tree's assessment, he deemed us qualified to break through to the Dao Realm, so we came here."

"Have you mastered the Furnace Method?" Lu Ye asked again.

Ma Shangsi said, "With the insights and guidance left by many fellow Daoists, we have long since become proficient in the Furnace Method."

"That's good," Lu Ye nodded slightly. "There's no need to force things in cultivation; just maintain a calm mindset."

"Yes!" Ma Shangsi responded.

Xuan Yu hesitated several times, on the verge of speaking. Her emotions weren't as outwardly expressive as her sister's. When she was forced to submit to Lu Ye and become his Blood Attendant years ago, she harbored much resentment. However, over the years, Lu Ye had treated them remarkably well; even when her sister repeatedly tried to tempt him with her charm, Lu Ye remained unmoved.

Over the years, she had gradually accepted her identity as a Blood Attendant, sometimes even thinking it wasn't so bad.

At the very least, without Lu Ye, neither she nor her sister would be alive today; they would likely have died long ago.

"Master, I don't know what you've encountered. Our strength is humble, and we can't help much, but there are many in this Starfield who care about you. Please take good care of yourself." Xuan Yu's face flushed as she spoke.

It was her first time addressing Lu Ye as "Master," and she couldn't help but feel shy.

Lu Ye chuckled. "Don't worry, it's nothing major on my end. I just need to figure some things out..." He paused, then mused, "Time really flies. When I brought you sisters back, your cultivation levels weren't high. In the blink of an eye, so many years have passed, and now you're all preparing to enter the Dao Realm."

Xiang Yin couldn't help but roll her eyes. "Master, the way you speak, it's as if we're your adopted children!"

Lu Ye laughed heartily. "I didn't mean it that way."

Xiang Yin winked at him. "It *could* mean that, Master! If you're willing, I can change my address!"

"Cut it out!" Lu Ye knew her character well. The more he indulged her, the more audacious she would become, eventually taking liberties.

It wasn't as if there were no other people around. If news got back to Hua Ci, there was no telling how she'd hold a grudge this time.

"What about Ding Beifeng and the others?" Lu Ye asked.

His initial Blood Attendant was only Ma Shangsi. Later, he took the sisters Xiang Yin and Xuan Yu in the core of Fangcun Mountain, and Ding Beifeng was subdued in the Blood Extinction Realm. Subsequently, Lu Ye subdued another group of Blood Attendants in the Blood Jade Realm, though his interactions with them were actually not extensive.

"Their cultivation isn't high enough yet to advance to the Dao Realm, so they are cultivating in various places," Ma Shangsi replied. He was considered the 'big brother' among the Blood Attendants and often looked after the others' situations.

"Oh, Master, did you know that the Blood Ancestor's body has become complete?" Xiang Yin suddenly asked. Although she felt Lu Ye most likely already knew, she couldn't resist asking, mainly wanting to spend more time with him, even if it was just a few more words.

"Yes, I went back and checked a few days ago." Lu Ye nodded. As he spoke, a flash of insight he hadn't grasped before suddenly appeared in his mind, illuminating a ray of hope in the endless darkness.

Lu Ye's body suddenly straightened, and his eyes became much brighter.

He suddenly realized what he had been overlooking.

Xiang Yin was still eagerly recounting the strange changes that occurred before the Blood Ancestor's body became complete. It wasn't until Xuan Yu nudged her that she belatedly realized something, looking timidly at Lu Ye. "Master, did I say something wrong?"

Lu Ye stood up, let out a hearty laugh, and patted Xiang Yin on the head. "No, you said it perfectly!"

Xiang Yin tilted her head, unsure of what she had said that was so good, but she knew Lu Ye was very happy at that moment, as if a difficult problem had suddenly been solved.

"Senior, if there's nothing else, we'll take our leave," Ma Shangsi said, observing Lu Ye's expression.

Lu Ye nodded. "Go ahead. Don't be impatient during your advancement."

"Understood!" The three Blood Attendants withdrew.

Lu Ye then flashed out, heading towards the nearest Worm Path.

"What happened?" Elder Tree's voice reached his ears. He had been secretly observing Lu Ye's state recently and naturally knew how much Lu Ye had worried about this Abyssal Gate.

Elder Tree was puzzled, wondering why the arrival of just three Blood Attendants had caused such a significant change in Lu Ye's mood.

"Elder Tree, I might have found a way to solve the problem," Lu Ye replied excitedly, adding, "Just 'might'!"

He knew, of course, that the greater the hope, the greater the disappointment, so he didn't dare to be too certain. After all, some matters were just his own ideas, and he wasn't sure if they could be successfully implemented.

If Elder Tree hadn't actively asked, he wouldn't have even mentioned it. But since Elder Tree had been paying attention to him, he naturally felt he should explain the situation.

"Oh? Was it those three Blood Attendants who inspired you?" Elder Tree asked. Such a conjecture was reasonable; Lu Ye had been anxious before the three Blood Attendants arrived, but after chatting with them for a while, he suddenly looked radiant.

Yet, Elder Tree carefully recalled the content of his conversation with the three Blood Attendants but couldn't pinpoint which remark had been crucial.

"Yes! I should have thought of this earlier; I just overlooked it for a while."

"Then I'm somewhat eager to see," Elder Tree said. He didn't ask Lu Ye what he intended to do; he was constantly monitoring Lu Ye and would know of any developments.

Rather than knowing the answer beforehand, Elder Tree preferred to witness it firsthand.

"Elder Tree, is the primal power of Fangcun Mountain sufficient to repair the Abyssal Gate?" Lu Ye asked again en route.

"Yes, it is. Many supreme treasures in the Starfield possess abundant primal power."

"If Fangcun Mountain's primal power is used to repair the Abyssal Gate, what impact will it have on Fangcun Mountain?"

"As long as its foundation isn't harmed, there won't be much impact. Fangcun Mountain will remain as it is... Are you planning to use Fangcun Mountain's power to repair the Abyssal Gate? But didn't you say you couldn't control Fangcun Mountain before?"

"Yes, I can't control Fangcun Mountain because my cultivation level isn't high enough. But I can borrow its power!"

"Borrow power?" Elder Tree asked, puzzled and suspicious. "Whose power?"

"Elder Tree, please wait and see!" Lu Ye smiled slightly.

A few days later, Elder Tree finally understood whose power Lu Ye intended to borrow.

For Lu Ye had returned to the Kyushu Star System, standing at Kyushu's original location and gazing from a distance at the colossal corpse stretched out before him.
