Chapter 1930: Great Luck

During their conversation, Gusheng kept examining the Asura Token.

After a long pause, he finally said, "Your experience this time was indeed quite strange. I've asked many people, and no one has encountered anything similar."

"So, there's a problem with the Asura Arena?" Abulo's expression hardened.

"I doubt it," Gusheng replied, shaking his head. "The Asura Arena is a treasure of the starry sky. It has maintained its operation perfectly ever since the Heavenly Asura clan was annihilated. I've never heard of any problems with it before, so there's no reason for you to be so unlucky."

"What if we *are* that unlucky?" Abulo said, clearly ready for an argument.

Lu Ye suddenly recalled the Dice of Fate. When he entered the cultivation scenario in the Abyssal Realm, the Dice of Fate had landed on "Bad Luck." Could this be related? Furthermore, he still couldn't figure out how something he had clearly secured so tightly could suddenly just fall off.

With no clear explanation, the outcome was predetermined. Although Lu Ye and Abulo found it hard to accept that their strenuous cultivation experience had yielded only minimal basic rewards, they had no choice but to accept their fate.

They each returned to their respective dwellings.

After completing a cultivation experience, it was impossible to enter another scenario for a few days. With nothing else to do, Lu Ye focused on his own cultivation. He wasn't in a hurry to ask Abulo about the Three Flowers. There would be plenty of opportunities in the future; they were only barely acquainted, and their relationship wasn't deep enough for him to inquire about such matters rashly. He planned to find another opportunity to mention this to Abulo later. He had a faint feeling that Abulo's purpose in coming to the Asura Arena for cultivation was the same as his own: to improve the quality of his Dharma Source, refine it to perfection, and then condense his own Qi Flower.

He had originally planned to cultivate diligently, but the outcome was not as he wished. Yu Yaorao came to find him and chatted for a while. The girl seemed to have something on her mind, but she didn't elaborate, so Lu Ye didn't ask.

After Yu Yaorao left, Abulo and Gusheng inquired about the location of Lu Ye's cave dwelling and came to visit him together. Lu Ye had already intended to befriend Abulo, so he naturally didn't refuse them. He thought they had some important business, but to his surprise, they had only come to drink with him, leaving Lu Ye somewhat speechless.

The banquet lasted for several days, during which the three of them sat together, engaging in lively discussions. This greatly broadened Lu Ye's horizons. After all, both Abulo and Gusheng came from extraordinary realms, and they had spent much longer cultivating in the Moon Realm than he had, so their knowledge and experience were naturally far beyond his.

Several days later, Abulo and Gusheng left, tipsy. Lu Ye rested briefly, then left his cave dwelling, soaring into the sky. He needed to earn more Asura Marks as quickly as possible to exchange for treasures that could improve the quality of his Dharma Source. Naturally, he didn't want to waste any time.

As he ascended, he suddenly broke through an invisible membrane at one point, and immediately, his surroundings turned dark. He calmed his mind and focused, waiting quietly.

Waiting...Waiting...

After a full incense stick's worth of time, Lu Ye suddenly felt like cursing. Not again! It was the same situation as last time!

Since he arrived at the Asura Arena, he had only entered three cultivation scenarios in total, including this one. The first time was normal: after a brief period of darkness, he received information about the cultivation scenario and then entered it. The second time was clearly not right. This third time was exactly like the second.

He felt extremely annoyed. What exactly was going on? He had now encountered something twice in a row that no one else had ever met. Was his flying posture wrong when he entered the cultivation scenario? Having experienced it once before, Lu Ye knew this darkness wouldn't last long; it should dissipate quickly, and he would then appear in the cultivation scenario. So, although he was frustrated, he still suppressed his impatience and waited.

To his surprise, however, this waiting seemed endless. After more than half a day, the darkness surrounding him showed no signs of dissipating, let alone allowing him to enter a cultivation scenario. He frowned and began to try moving within the darkness, hoping to find a way out. But no matter which direction he flew, he remained enveloped by darkness.

If the first time was just bad luck, then what about this second time? Lu Ye was almost certain that something was definitely wrong with the Asura Arena; it wasn't just his bad luck. But Gusheng was right: the Asura Arena was a supreme treasure of the starry sky. It had been operating continuously ever since the Heavenly Asura clan was annihilated. Why would it suddenly malfunction when he entered? Was there anything about himself that was different from others?

As he pondered, Lu Ye suddenly noticed a faint light coming from a certain direction. He quickly turned his head to look, but the light had already vanished...

After the initial frustration, he gradually calmed down. Even if there was truly a problem with the Asura Arena, it shouldn't be able to trap him to death here. Thus, he was confident that he would eventually get out; it was only a matter of time. Although he was in absolute darkness, Lu Ye could still clearly perceive the passage of time.

After two full days, a faint light suddenly appeared before him. The light was weak, like a flickering candlelight, but it still put the long-trapped Lu Ye at ease. His intuition was indeed correct. He turned his head to look at the candlelight-like glow. As if possessing sentience, it slowly began to circle in front of Lu Ye. Starting as a small circle, it gradually expanded, each rotation growing a bit wider, leaving bright traces wherever it flowed. Before long, an oval-shaped ring of light appeared in Lu Ye's vision. Immediately after, the light intensified, dispelling the endless darkness.

Lu Ye pondered for a moment, then stepped towards the ring of light. With one step, his vision shifted. At the same time, Lu Ye's expression changed, as he clearly felt an invisible force enveloping him, binding him layer by layer. This sudden, immense change made him feel as if he had been dealt a heavy blow. He couldn't help but let out a muffled groan, and his face instantly turned pale.

Screams and cries reached his ears, mixed with unbridled laughter. The smell of blood lingered in his nostrils...

His blurred vision slowly focused. An indescribable feeling of weakness flooded his mind. Lu Ye hadn't experienced such a sensation in a very, very long time, and for a moment, he was stunned.

Just as he was about to check his own condition, he heard a "gurgling" sound coming from near his feet. The sound... was inexplicably familiar. The next instant, Lu Ye's expression changed. He looked down towards the source of the sound and saw something the size of a baby's fist tumbling there, about to come to a stop.

Looking at this familiar object, Lu Ye could hardly believe his eyes! He quickly darted over, intending to step on it and stop it. But as he moved, he immediately noticed something was wrong. His movements were sluggish, and his reactions were extremely slow. He actually missed stepping on it.

As he held his breath anxiously, the Dice of Fate stopped. Lu Ye held his breath and focused his gaze.

"Great Fortune!" The two large characters suddenly appeared before his eyes. He couldn't help but be stunned for a moment. So there was "Great Fortune"? Before, it had always been "Fortune," "Misfortune," or "Bad Luck." This time, it was "Great Fortune"! A good start, though it gave him quite a fright. After all, the Dice of Fate was too mysterious. If it rolled something inauspicious, even the Talent Tree would take several days to burn it away.

But... he distinctly remembered leaving the Dice of Fate in his cave dwelling. Why was it here? Having learned from his last experience, Lu Ye wouldn't dare carry this item with him during cultivation. Last time, "Bad Luck" was tolerable, but if "Misfortune" appeared, who knew what dangers he might encounter. So, before coming for this cultivation, he specifically left it in his cave dwelling. Since he was the only one living there and no one could enter or exit without his permission, it was considered safe to leave it there. Yet, it had still appeared. Although the outcome was quite good, this feeling of being out of control was very unsettling. Lu Ye couldn't understand how it had ended up here.

The two characters, "Great Fortune," transformed into a faint light and entered Lu Ye's body. The familiar sensation from before reappeared. Enveloped by this feeling, Lu Ye felt that whatever he wanted to do, he would surely succeed.

"Hahahaha, you little wench, trying to run? Do you think you can get away?" A sudden voice rang out not far away.

Lu Ye turned his head to look. He saw a burly man approaching from that direction, clutching a woman's long hair and dragging her towards him. The woman was disheveled and her clothes were in tatters. Although she struggled fiercely, it was utterly futile; she could only cry and beg for mercy.

"You damn slut, you looked down on me, didn't you? Today, I'll show you how powerful I am!" the burly man cursed, his face filled with rage and ferocity. He looked up and suddenly saw Lu Ye standing ahead. His eyebrows shot up. "There's actually someone else here!"

As he spoke, he directly dropped the woman he was holding, pulled out a curved knife from his waist, and charged towards Lu Ye, his face filled with murderous intent.

Lu Ye quietly watched him, his expression extremely strange. He noticed something amiss. At this moment, a number was floating above the head of this ferocious-looking burly man. A large "one thousand"... The number was ethereal, clearly not corporeal. Lu Ye looked at it, utterly bewildered, completely unaware of what it signified. And no matter how the burly man moved, the number remained suspended above his head.

Although he didn't know what the number represented, the fellow opposite him clearly wasn't a good person. Since he dared to attack him, killing him wouldn't be wrong. Furthermore, in his opinion, this burly man was merely an uncultivated mortal, committing evil acts by simply relying on his physical strength. On a normal day, Lu Ye wouldn't even have the chance to encounter such a person.

The burly man's speed was still quite fast compared to ordinary people. In a few strides, he lunged at Lu Ye, the curved knife in his hand arcing towards him. However, just then, he clearly tripped over something. His body became unbalanced, and the trajectory of the curved knife in his hand also changed. At the same time, Lu Ye slowly raised his hand and gently struck his chest with a palm. With this single palm strike, even if Lu Ye didn't use any spiritual power, the opponent couldn't possibly survive.

A sharp pain shot through his cheek, and Lu Ye's expression changed.
