Chapter 700: Slaying the Martial King

Zhou Yuan stood on the water, clad in silver armor. Beyond the armor, a mysterious light shimmered, extending two luminous wings from his back. A closer look would reveal a faint yellow hue flowing across the silver armor.

A terrifying amount of Genesis Qi emanated from his body, stirring up colossal waves.

Countless eyes from both sides were fixed on his figure, filled with deep shock.

This was because Zhou Yuan's aura was overwhelmingly powerful at that moment, seemingly suppressing even King Wu, who had advanced to the mid-Divine Dwelling stage.

On the city wall, Wei Canglan gazed at the silver-armored figure and couldn't help but exclaim that His Highness was truly invincible. He recalled how Zhou Yuan, also clad in silver armor, had turned the tide during King Qi's rebellion years ago.

However, Zhou Yuan's strength back then was far from what it was now.

The other generals also nodded in awe and reverence, stunned by the power Zhou Yuan was displaying.

As they voiced their praise, Zhou Qing couldn't help but laugh contentedly, his eyes brimming with immense pride. King Wu had thought that by seizing Yuan'er's Sacred Dragon Qi, he would cripple him forever. But reality had shown him that his Zhou family's Sacred Dragon was not so easily defeated.

At this moment, Zhou Qing was full of vigor and pride.

While Zhou Qing beamed with joy, King Wu in the sky looked utterly grim, staring intensely at the silver-armored figure below, a twitch appearing at the corner of his mouth.

He could sense that Zhou Yuan was simultaneously employing several Genesis Arts, which, if he wasn't mistaken, were all Heaven Genesis Arts—some even surpassing the grade of his own Scarlet Dragon Seal.

Otherwise, such power would be impossible.

This filled King Wu with a mix of grief and indignation. His Scarlet Dragon Seal had been acquired by expending all his might, yet it was merely a mid-grade Heaven Genesis Art.

But now, every Genesis Art Zhou Yuan was using seemed to be of a higher grade.

Thus, even if Zhou Yuan's Genesis Qi foundation was slightly inferior to his, these powerful Genesis Arts were enough to put him in a dire predicament.

As he watched the silver-armored figure, a trace of unease finally arose in King Wu's heart.

As King Wu's thoughts churned, Zhou Yuan, below, flapped his luminous wings, causing immense waves to surge. His figure then vanished like a ghost.

King Wu's expression changed, and he swiftly retreated.

However, just as he pulled back, a flash of light appeared before him. The mottled black brush, imbued with terrifying power, thrust directly and viciously at his vital points.

King Wu swiftly brought up his golden longsword to meet it with full force.

The clash of metal rang out, and sparks flew. King Wu's expression changed drastically because he felt an overwhelmingly fierce power surge forth like a tidal wave. The hand gripping his sword hilt instantly split open at the web, blood flowing freely as he was thrown backward in a disheveled state.

At this point, Zhou Yuan had activated the Profound Saint Body, the Grand Profound Sacred Spirit Art, and the Earth Saint Rune. Under the layered amplification of these powers, each of his attacks exceeded the strength of 1.5 million Genesis Qi foundations.

Therefore, even though King Wu had entered the mid-Divine Dwelling stage, he was still firmly suppressed by Zhou Yuan.

Zhou Yuan showed no mercy, unleashing his power without reservation, sending a barrage of brush shadows whistling forth.

King Wu frantically defended himself, roaring in defiance, but it was useless. He was forced back repeatedly, blood streaming down his sword.

He was in an utterly pathetic state.

Below, the Great Wu army began to stir uneasily. The expressions of some Alpha Origin generals also changed, as a sense of dread enveloped their hearts.

No one had expected that even with King Wu's advance to the mid-Divine Dwelling stage, he would still be no match for His Highness of Great Zhou.

In the sky, the brush and the sword clashed once more.

Zhou Yuan roared in a deep voice, summoning the 'Myriad Whales' technique.

Numerous ancient whale phantoms appeared around the Heavenly Yuan Brush. With a swing of the black brush, even space itself showed faint cracks.

Sparks exploded, and King Wu's face turned pale. He coughed up a mouthful of blood and plummeted down in a disheveled heap, tumbling for thousands of feet across the turbulent river surface.

Zhou Yuan hovered in the air, his cold eyes, gleaming beneath his silver armor, fixed on the utterly disheveled King Wu. He asked in a flat voice if King Wu had ever thought of this day when he seized his Sacred Dragon Qi years ago.

King Wu, his face drenched in blood and contorted with rage, roared that his only regret was not striking Zhou Yuan dead on the altar after seizing his Sacred Dragon Qi back then.

He truly regretted it to the extreme. After taking the Sacred Dragon Qi that year, he had been utterly complacent, believing everything was settled.

But who could have imagined that a decade or so later, the infant he had nearly crippled would not only survive but grow to such a formidable extent?

His Wu family's years of planning had effectively been ruined.

Zhou Yuan stated plainly that a thief would always remain a thief, destined never to achieve greatness.

His figure transformed into a streak of light and shot downwards.

Genesis Qi erupted from King Wu's body, and he rapidly retreated.

The void trembled as a sharp brush shadow thrust forward with unavoidable speed, tearing across King Wu's arm.

King Wu screamed in agony. As blood splattered, one of his arms flew into the air.

Zhou Yuan's eyes were sharp as knives. He took a step, and the brush shadow, like a dragon, pierced directly through King Wu's chest. He then declared that this was the arm King Wu owed his father.

King Wu shrieked, covered in blood, and retreated frantically.

Sharp brush shadows enveloped him, swift as lightning, slashing across King Wu's body, leaving gruesome gashes that almost split him in two.

Blood streaked past Zhou Yuan's eyes.

He proclaimed that this was for the torment he suffered since childhood from the Resentful Dragon Poison because of King Wu.

King Wu's body was a mangled mess, his eyes bloodshot. He suddenly seized the Heavenly Yuan Brush with a vicious grin, saying that back then, Zhou Yuan and his family had been incompetent and deserved to be slaughtered like stray dogs by him.

Zhou Yuan said indifferently that it didn't matter, for if not for the hardships King Wu had inflicted upon him, he might not be where he was today.

Without those childhood adversities, had his path been smooth, Zhou Yuan might still be a frog in a well on this vast continent, much like King Wu.

King Wu's face contorted, and he roared in fury, asking why Zhou Yuan was so smug, claiming that if he wanted to kill him, Zhou Yuan would have to be buried with him.

Suddenly, ten thousand rays of light erupted from his body.

He was detonating his physical body.

An incredibly terrifying Genesis Qi fluctuation exploded, violently tearing apart the massive Dragonfall River, creating a colossal pit where the river water could not immediately flow back.

Zhou Yuan's figure was sent flying backward, tumbling down onto the river surface with a harsh impact.

He coughed up a mouthful of blood. Cracks became faintly visible on his silver armor before it dissipated. Wiping the blood from his mouth, he gazed coldly at the spot where King Wu had self-detonated.

He stated that if King Wu had truly dared to self-detonate, he would have respected his spirit. But it was merely an escape tactic, making King Wu the true stray dog now.

His gaze, cold as ice, pierced through the blood mist. There, an invisible Soul shot out, encircled by two Divine Dwelling halos, streaking through the air at an indescribable speed.

It was King Wu's Soul.

King Wu's resentful roar echoed through the heavens, vowing that if he didn't avenge this, he was not human. He swore that in the future, he would bathe Great Zhou in blood.

"Withdraw, Great Wu!"

As King Wu's piercing shriek reverberated, the continuous formation of the Great Wu army on the Dragonfall River completely collapsed.

By this point, everyone knew that Great Wu's war against Zhou, waged with all its national power, had been decisively shattered.

At this moment, Great Wu's forces were collapsing like a landslide.
