Chapter 1328: Means to Break the Deadlock

From the waxy depths, countless human-like and beast-like wax figures surged forth like a torrent. Each of them emanated powerful Genesis Qi fluctuations from within; although not as formidable as they were in life, they were still not to be underestimated.

The army of wax figures tore through the air, imbued with a murderous aura, and descended upon Zhou Yuan and Tun Tun.

Confronted by this massive charge, Zhou Yuan and Tun Tun wasted no time, immediately unleashing their vast Genesis Qi and charging forward to meet them.

Zhou Yuan, wielding the Heavenly Yuan Brush, unleashed countless bristles from its tip. These bristles, like chains, pierced into the army of wax figures, sweeping across them like a giant windmill, crushing the many wax figures to bits.

"Corrosion." At the same time, Zhou Yuan vibrated the Heavenly Yuan Brush, causing countless invisible bristles to drift down and disperse into the bodies of the surrounding wax figures. These bristles absorbed the Genesis Qi within them, then, like birds returning to their nests, they re-entered the Heavenly Yuan Brush, channeling all the absorbed Genesis Qi into Zhou Yuan's body. This ensured Zhou Yuan's Genesis Qi remained at its peak.

"Silver Shadow!" However, this was clearly not enough. Zhou Yuan's mind stirred, and the Silver Shadow, previously impaled deep in the desert by Yuan Quan, shot out as a silver light. Silver liquid rippled across its body, repairing its previous injuries, and it then plunged directly into the army of wax figures.

Tun Tun roared like thunder; as its massive claws swung, the void shattered, and countless wax figures were torn to pieces.

One human, one beast, and one puppet stood firm and unmoving like a majestic mountain amidst the charge of the wax army.

Meanwhile, Yuan Quan stood in the void, watching the scene with a playful smile on his lips, muttering to himself, "Once you enter my Saint Candle Law Domain, don't even think about leaving."

Boom! Boom! The fierce battle continued, but Zhou Yuan gradually felt something was amiss. He noticed that no matter how the wax figures were shattered, their numbers never decreased. He immediately swept his Spirit perception and saw that the shattered wax figures would soon re-emerge from the waxy depths. They were practically inexhaustible, impossible to defeat entirely.

Zhou Yuan frowned deeply, his gaze sweeping towards Tun Tun. At that moment, he vaguely sensed a peculiar fluctuation on Tun Tun's body, but it was too subtle to be seen with the naked eye.

Zhou Yuan remained cautious and did not dismiss this discovery. After a slight deliberation, the Barrier-Breaking Saint Pattern activated in his eyes.

The scene before him immediately changed. On Tun Tun's body, he finally discovered the source of the subtle fluctuation: grayish-white spots. These spots were like the wax on the bodies of the wax figures, infiltrating the body and gradually growing thicker as more wax figures were shattered. It appeared as if, once the wax reached a certain thickness, it would completely obscure all auras, ultimately transforming them into wax figures like those before him.

A chill suddenly rose in Zhou Yuan's heart. It was then that he understood the most troublesome aspect of these wax figures: if too many were shattered, one's own body would gradually become infected and ultimately turn into wax.

Zhou Yuan hastily lowered his gaze to his own body and, sure enough, found some grayish-white spots on himself as well. These spots were imperceptible and couldn't be removed by circulating Genesis Qi. Had it not been for the Barrier-Breaking Saint Pattern, it would have been difficult to detect them immediately.

No wonder Yuan Quan had stood by and watched them destroy the wax army without intervening at all. Their actions, it turned out, were merely digging their own graves.

Zhou Yuan took a deep breath and immediately transmitted this discovery to Tun Tun.

Tun Tun, who was fiercely fighting, suddenly stiffened. Its beast eyes changed slightly, and it let out a low growl.

"We can't keep going like this. We need to find a way to break free, or we'll all be trapped here today," Zhou Yuan sighed lightly. Experts of the third Law Domain stage were indeed troublesome. He had initially thought that by teaming up with Tun Tun, they could at least put up a fight, but now, it seemed they were almost completely suppressed.

It couldn't be helped; the gap in their cultivation stages was too vast. Both he and Tun Tun were only equivalent to the first Law Domain stage. They could fight above their level against second Law Domain stage experts, but it was difficult to defeat a third stage expert through ordinary means.

"The Genesis Infant stage... is still too much of a stretch." Zhou Yuan felt a deep sense of helplessness about this. Although his Genesis Infant was nine inches and seven points, it was still just a Genesis Infant after all. If he could break through to the Law Domain stage now, he was confident he could smash Yuan Quan's brains out.

Breaking through to the Law Domain stage wasn't actually difficult; Zhou Yuan had long felt the sensation of such a breakthrough. However, Yaoyao had warned him not to attempt to establish a Law Domain until his Genesis Infant had broken through its limits. Although this requirement seemed somewhat inexplicable, out of trust in Yaoyao, Zhou Yuan had always striven for it. He knew there had to be an extremely important reason for Yaoyao's request, as he clearly remembered her unusually serious expression when she made it.

"If breaking through isn't an option, then I'll have to find another way..." Zhou Yuan's eyes deepened. Under the current circumstances, it was wishful thinking to break through with ordinary methods. After all, he and Silver Shadow had previously unleashed nine streams of seven-colored Heaven-Slicing Sword Light simultaneously, but only managed to break through the opponent's golden armor. Now that Yuan Quan was prepared, there would be no more opportunities for a surprise attack.

"Tun Tun, if this keeps up, we'll both probably turn into wax figures. I have a trump card now, but it can probably only be used once. If he doesn't die, then we will. Do you dare to gamble?" Zhou Yuan transmitted his voice.

Tun Tun roared angrily, opening its massive, black-glowing maw towards Zhou Yuan. "Who are you calling 'us two'?!" That scoundrel Zhou Yuan, even at a time like this, still wanted to take advantage of it. However, from the thoughts conveyed by Tun Tun's roar, Zhou Yuan understood its choice: it was not one to sit idly by and await death.

"But I need an undisturbed place. This trump card takes a while to prepare, and Yuan Quan is constantly watching us. If he senses it, he might intervene," Zhou Yuan expressed his concern with a frown.

Hearing this, Tun Tun's beast eyes flickered. The next moment, it flashed to Zhou Yuan's side, suddenly opening its vast, black hole-like maw. As black light flashed, it swallowed the somewhat bewildered Zhou Yuan in one gulp.

In the void of the Law Domain, Yuan Quan watched this scene, his eyebrow slightly raised, and said indifferently, "Playing tricks."

Although he didn't know what Zhou Yuan and the others were planning, Yuan Quan didn't care. The candle poison was already spreading, and soon, this sacred beast would also become his puppet, with Zhou Yuan certainly dying as well.

After Zhou Yuan was swallowed by Tun Tun, he felt himself in a completely dark space where even his senses seemed to be blocked.

"Is this inside Tun Tun's belly?" Zhou Yuan was somewhat stunned. No wonder Tun Tun always seemed insatiable; it turned out its belly was a self-contained space.

However, he didn't dwell on it. As this place could block perception, Yuan Quan likely wouldn't be able to detect his presence. Time was pressing now; the grayish-white wax spots on Tun Tun's body were increasing, and if they delayed any longer, it might be too late.

Zhou Yuan took a deep breath, sat cross-legged, and his expression gradually grew solemn.

Earlier, he had been in the mood to joke with Tun Tun, but it was only to calm it down. Zhou Yuan was well aware of how dire their situation was; his counterattack had only one chance, and if it failed, they would truly be finished.

Zhou Yuan turned his palm upwards, and light suddenly gathered in his palm, subtly shimmering with seven colors. After a few breaths, a seven-colored glazed gourd, seemingly tangible, appeared in his palm.
