"Li Huowang! What are you doing! Stop it! She's one of us!"
"I always said this kid wasn't reliable, but they insisted on getting him out of the psychiatric hospital."
As increasingly agitated voices buzzed in his ears, Li Huowang gritted his teeth and vigorously shook his head. Despite his efforts, he felt the voices hadn't quieted much. Xuan Pin, who was beside him, seemed to be saying something, but Li Huowang couldn't hear clearly; some of the voices were just too noisy, overwhelmingly noisy!
It wasn't just the voices; even the entire world around him became unstable. Bizarre images constantly flickered into and out of existence, as if two different worlds were overlapping. These two distinct changes continued to merge, seemingly transforming into another world that was both harmonious and incredibly strange – a higher world projected onto both, the vast, encompassing world of the Great Elephant.
However, Li Huowang had more important things to do; he didn't have time to think about them.
"I... I have mastered cultivation! I must save Daliang... I must... I must stop Zuo Qiuyong, I must kill her!"
Li Huowang vigorously shook his head. Once he felt his surroundings stabilize slightly, he stomped his right foot, and his body instantly warped from Daqi back to Shangjing City in Daliang.
The sky suddenly darkened. Li Huowang looked up and realized that Zuo Qiuyong's colossal figure had completely blocked out the sun. Zuo Qiuyong, laughing maniacally, lifted her right foot and stomped towards the White Lotus followers' hall. With a crunch of bones, all the White Lotus believers inside were instantly crushed to death.
Those who died there were just the beginning; the survivors elsewhere fared no better. As Zuo Qiuyong arrived in Daliang, the Dao of Growth emanating from her body affected the entire Shangjing City. House beams sprouted leaves, and chairs grew shoots. Shangjing City was now completely covered by a swaying, constantly moving forest.
A seed could sprout, grow leaves, blossom, bear fruit, and finally wither within the span of half an incense stick. If plants behaved this way, the living inhabitants of Shangjing City fared even worse. All sorts of bizarre phenomena occurred, transforming Shangjing City into a living hell. In the short time since Zuo Qiuyong's arrival, most people in Shangjing City had aged over twenty years, and new life rapidly sprouted from the corpses of the dead.
Li Huowang understood: he had to stop Zuo Qiuyong! If this continued, everyone in Shangjing City would likely perish!
"What do you plan to do? I can try to get the Bureau of Celestial Supervision to cooperate with you," Xuan Pin questioned Li Huowang. He had no idea what method Li Huowang had in mind, but at this point, he could only trust him.
Li Huowang said nothing. When he saw Zuo Qiuyong bend down to grab Bai Lingmiao inside the city, murderous intent flashed in his eyes.
"Argh!" Li Huowang roared, pulling out the weapon from his back, charging forward, and fiercely stabbing it into her body. Even as she continuously struck his head with her yellow umbrella, Li Huowang showed no signs of softening.
Just as Li Huowang increased his force, completely piercing her body, several hands reached out from behind, gripping him tightly.
"Let go of me! You don't understand anything! This person is a mole! She's the Divine Envoy of Fushou Heaven! We killed their people, so this is their counterattack!"
Zuo Qiuyong was startled. She stumbled back several steps, eyeing Li Huowang warily. How had this boy become so powerful in such a short time?
Feeling the hands gripping his body tightly, Li Huowang struggled desperately, roaring loudly, "Believe me! Everything I'm saying is true! Believe me! In all the past timelines I've experienced, this woman never existed! She's a Divine Envoy of Fushou Heaven, she secretly came here to sow discord among us!"
No sooner had Li Huowang finished speaking than two pairs of tattooed hands and one pair of fair, slender-fingered hands among those holding him suddenly let go. With six hands suddenly gone, it was much easier to break free. Li Huowang seized the opportunity and quickly escaped their grasp.
Gripping his military knife, he roared and charged towards the woman in the yellow dress, who was clutching her wound. Seeing her panicked expression, she fled haphazardly, opening a door, and rushing out of the villa. Li Huowang followed close behind.
He kicked open the door with his right foot, revealing an enormous, white mountain of brains instantly before him. Li Huowang knew this was just her trick; she was inside! He had to find her! He leaped fearlessly into Zuo Qiuyong's mind. Fish fins and webs quickly sprouted on his body as he thrashed and darted around, searching for the mole.
As he searched, a sudden flash of light appeared behind him. Li Huowang instantly squinted. When he opened his eyes again, he saw a woman's car hurtling towards him. Damn it! She came by car!
Facing the car speeding towards him, Li Huowang showed no fear. He took a few quick steps and leaped, slamming his entire body onto the front windshield. With an extremely grating screech, Li Huowang's military knife carved a deep scratch into the glass.
*Splat!* As Li Huowang's head began to bleed, the glass instantly cracked into a spiderweb pattern. Even so, his eyes remained fixed on the woman inside the car.
"You lunatic! You maniac!" the woman shrieked in terror, frantically jerking the steering wheel to shake Li Huowang off.
Just as they were at a stalemate, a car horn blared. Li Huowang glanced to his left and saw Qingwang Lai driving his luxury car directly towards them.
With a loud *thud*, the two cars collided, and Li Huowang was ultimately thrown clear. Li Huowang was injured, and the woman's car was no better; its hood was crumpled, spewing smoke.
Ignoring his injuries, Li Huowang rushed over with his knife, grabbed the woman by the neck, and dragged her out of the car. Just as he was about to strike, Li Huowang paused and shouted towards the nearby villa, "Miaomiao! Hurry! Grant this Divine Envoy death! I'm going to kill her!"
Divine Envoys of Fushou Heaven were immortal; they could only be killed by first bestowing death upon them, otherwise, killing them would be pointless.
"Wait... wait!" The woman in the yellow dress, with shards of glass embedded in her face, desperately pried at Li Huowang's hand, attempting a final struggle. "Wait! Li Huowang, you can't win! We have what you want! Cooperate with us!"
