Chapter 126: Evil Person

"Why!" Li Huowang's cold voice echoed in the room once more.

"Those masochists tortured you like this, and you're still helping those villains against me! I told you I'd take you away from this cursed place. Haven't I been good enough to you? Do you have a heart? Or have you been completely assimilated by these villains over the past four years!"

"Heh heh..." Faced with Li Huowang's words, Yingzi suddenly laughed.

Amidst her low laughter, Yingzi slowly raised her head. It was the first time Yingzi had met Li Huowang's gaze. Tears slowly streamed down her face as she smiled. Yingzi's light brown pupils were filled with tangible hatred. The hatred was so extreme that it seemed she might lunge at any moment, tearing Li Huowang limb from limb.

Only at this moment did Li Huowang understand why Jiang Yingzi had always avoided his gaze: she was afraid she wouldn't be able to resist attacking him.

Almost simultaneously, two scrolls of the "Great Thousand Record" swiftly unrolled on the ground. One tore at their own flesh, the other severed their pinky finger. The battle began in an instant. Empowered by the "Great Thousand Record," Li Huowang watched his flayed skin rapidly expand in the air, rushing forward like a net. The severed, blood-colored pinky finger, which had fractured into a long cone, was swiftly enveloped by Li Huowang's flesh and fell weakly to the ground.

Seeing what was on the ground, Jiang Yingzi immediately realized that both of them were using the "Great Thousand Record," sharing the same origin. To kill this person, one had to sacrifice more than the other!

With a "whoosh," Jiang Yingzi's right palm was unhesitatingly severed and thrown onto the "Great Thousand Record." As the special characters on the red bamboo slips crawled over the severed palm, the perceptive Li Huowang instantly felt a prickle on his scalp.

"No! Danger!!" Li Huowang immediately retreated, leaping from the house into the outside cave.

Just as the dismembered Jiang Yingzi stumbled out of the house in pursuit, a piercing bell sound abruptly rang out. Before she could make any move, a You-Lao-Ye, formed by many lines, swiftly emerged from underground. Yingzi struggled desperately, but the You-Lao-Ye still passed through half of her body. Jiang Yingzi, whose half-body instantly went numb, fell heavily to the ground. Yet, she did not give up, gritting her teeth and struggling desperately to stand up.

The next second, when a sharp longsword pressed against her neck, the outcome was decided.

Li Huowang didn't act immediately; instead, he stared intently at Yingzi's face. He said, almost gritting his teeth, "Why! I want to know why!"

"Tap, tap, tap." Li Huowang heard footsteps approaching from all directions. The Blazing Scripture Cultists in the cave had clearly heard something. As Li Huowang turned around, he saw Hand San approaching.

"Do you find this entertaining? Breaking your promises again and again! Insisting on ordering Yingzi to deal with me! If you're so capable, face me directly!" By now, Li Huowang utterly loathed the entire Blazing Scripture Cult—these treacherous, cunning, promise-breaking masochists.

However, Hand San's subsequent expression surprised Li Huowang; his scorched face showed a hint of confusion. "I don't know what you're talking about. I did not order Er Jiu to attack. In fact, attacking you would not benefit us at all; on the contrary, it would be quite dangerous."

"You're still lying to me! The ironclad evidence is right before me, and you're still lying to me!" Li Huowang sharply turned his head, looking down at Jiang Yingzi. The girl was still lying on the ground, staring fixedly at Li Huowang with venomous eyes.

"Heh heh... Didn't you ask me why earlier? All right, I'll tell you why." Yingzi said, gritting her teeth and staring into Li Huowang's eyes. Yingzi pulled off her robe, exposing her scarred body to the air. "Because you killed my entire family! All my suffering now is because of you!"

Li Huowang first felt extreme absurdity, then concluded that the woman in front of him was completely insane. Yingzi gestured with a trembling finger, encompassing the surrounding Blazing Scripture Cultists who had gathered. "You always say they are evil, that they are inhumane beasts, but compared to you, they're nothing!"

Yingzi screamed with a voice that was growing hoarse. "Four years ago, you were the one who massacred the entire town! Tens of thousands of people in the whole town! You wiped them all out! In front of you, what they've done doesn't make them villains! They're not worthy!"

Hearing this, it was as if a thunderclap exploded in Li Huowang's mind. "No, absolutely not! I'm not like you trash! I'm a good person!" Li Huowang instinctively retorted.

"Hahaha!! A good person, yes! You're such a good person!" Yingzi pointed a trembling finger at Li Huowang's face, laughing wildly. "The tofu-selling old woman, the child next door who hadn't even had their first birthday, and my father, my mother!! You killed them all without blinking an eye! And now you say you're a good person!"

Seeing such resolute hatred in her eyes, a flicker of doubt arose in Li Huowang's heart. Li Huowang struggled to search his memory, sifting through his recollections from four years ago, and found no evidence of having transmigrated or having had a mental episode. The deepest memory he had was attending a sports meeting, where he sweated alongside others on a lively sports field.

"No, I didn't! It's impossible! Four years ago, I hadn't even transmigrated yet... or had I?" Li Huowang sensed something amiss.

Sensing a tremor in Li Huowang's voice, Yingzi's expression suddenly hardened. With a flick of her single arm, a silver leaf, thin as a cicada's wing, floated out. No sooner had she gripped the leaf with two fingers than the longsword at her neck was sharply pulled, and Jiang Yingzi's body instantly stiffened. Red blood spurted from Yingzi's neck. After a few slight tremors, her body went limp and collapsed to the ground.

A few breaths later, as if just realizing what had happened, Li Huowang rushed forward, his hands trembling as he embraced her. He covered her bleeding neck with his hand and pulled out a Blood-Nourishing Pill, stuffing it into her mouth.

"Don't die! You're not allowed to die!! Explain yourself! What's going on?!"

"Cough... good person..." Yingzi looked at Li Huowang, who was holding her, with an extremely sarcastic gaze. "A good person..." Her hand weakly went limp, and her pupils gradually dilated.

Li Huowang's breathing was ragged. He stood up, holding Yingzi's corpse, and shouted at the surrounding Blazing Scripture Cultists: "Are you done playing?! What do you want?! You cruel, sinister, bloody madmen!! Is it fun to trick me?!"

Hand San, who was nearby, listened to Li Huowang's words and a hint of amusement appeared on his face. "Have you truly forgotten what happened four years ago? Four years ago, on that day, you indeed massacred the entire town, killing everyone you saw, regardless of gender or age. The entire town ran red with blood. We witnessed Elder Xi, unable to bear it, step forward to stop you. But you instead came to our place and caused a huge commotion, damaging many ten-temples. It took us a great deal of effort to send you away."
