Chapter 66: Anhai King's Sword

Yan Jin's speed was far inferior to Meng Chuan's, and certainly no match for the Poison Pond Demon King.

The black mist rapidly approached.

"There's no escape," Yan Jin thought, many ideas flashing through his mind at once.

His deceased mother...

His cold father...

And the many years of inner resentment and unwillingness.

"Whoosh." The dense black mist spread, completely engulfing Yan Jin.

"Everything is empty!" Yan Jin closed his eyes, calmly accepting death.

"A human genius? Hahaha, easily crushed." The Poison Pond Demon King continued his flight, his mood joyous. Just as he had easily slaughtered human masters along his path, he viewed a human genius as just another life to be casually extinguished.

But then, suddenly—

"Boom!"

At the location where 'Yan Jin' had been engulfed by the black mist, a mysterious power emerged, radiating outwards in all directions. The black poisonous mist swiftly collapsed and dissipated, clearing the air and restoring the surroundings to their pristine state.

"What is that...?" The Poison Pond Demon King stared at Yan Jin's position in horror.

Above the closed eyes of the white-clad youth, Yan Jin, an illusory gray sword shadow appeared. It floated there, emitting invisible waves that swept in all directions. When these waves reached the Poison Pond Demon King, he was involuntarily forced to his knees, overcome by the pressure. His head reeled, and with a thud, he collapsed, supporting himself with his arms on the ground, struggling to look up. His eyes were wide with terror: "A sword seal? Does this mortal have a sword seal sealed within him?"

Among all humans, only a handful of gods and demons possessed the ability to seal sword marks — those terrifying beings skilled in swordsmanship.

Beside the illusory gray sword shadow, a blurry figure also materialized.

It was a stern, burly man, his gaze sweeping coldly around him.

"East Ning Prefecture?" The stern man's phantom looked at Yan Jin, then at the Poison Pond Demon King, who was still kneeling in the distance, suppressed.

"Hmph." A cold snort escaped him.

The fluctuation intensified abruptly.

"Boom!"

"You are..." The Poison Pond Demon King's eyes widened, his mouth agape, but he couldn't utter another word. The terrifying wave crushed him, reducing him entirely to dust that scattered with the wind into the vast world.

"Are demons invading East Ning Prefecture?" The stern man's phantom surveyed the area, then looked towards Yuyang Palace in the distance. "Go!" he commanded softly.

In an instant, the gray sword shadow streaked across the sky, covering seven or eight li, and arrived at Yuyang Palace.

Yuyang Palace lay in ruins.

Yun Wanhai was gravely wounded and dying. Fairy Meng, her face as pale as paper, clutched her staff tightly, still straining to maintain her domain and aid the Yuyang Palace Master, though her domain had begun to tremble and destabilize.

"Hold them, hold them off!" The Yuyang Palace Master desperately grappled with the three demon kings.

He wanted to buy time.

He refused to surrender.

"Fairy Meng's domain is losing control; she's weakening. Kill her, then kill the Yuyang Palace Master, and level East Ning Prefecture!" exclaimed the White Sink Demon King with great delight.

"Haha, Fairy Meng can't hold on much longer!" The black-furred ape laughed triumphantly, transforming into a streak of black light. It skillfully dodged the Yuyang Palace Master, aiming to land another blow on Fairy Meng.

Just then—

The White Sink Demon King, the Tyrant Roar Demon King, and the Ape Reverence Demon King all looked up in one direction almost simultaneously.

An illusory gray sword shadow soared from the horizon, reaching Yuyang Palace in the blink of an eye.

"No!!!" The White Sink Demon King's face contorted in terror and despair as he frantically fled into the distance.

He managed only a few steps.

The gray sword shadow plunged downwards. The White Sink Demon King roared, desperately trying to block it with his claws. The instant the sword shadow struck his claws, it summoned the power of heaven and earth, condensing into countless streaks of sword light. Thousands of sword lights descended, relentlessly slashing. The White Sink Demon King looked up at the torrent of blades, his eyes wide with despair, and roared, "King An Hai's Tribulation Sword! How can King An Hai be here?"

Countless sword lights then rained down upon him, shattering the White Sink Demon King's incredibly resilient body.

The Third Heaven Demon King, White Sink, was dead!

"It's King An Hai's Tribulation Sword!" The Tyrant Roar Demon King was also utterly terrified.

"Isn't King An Hai always stationed at An Hai Pass?" The Ape Reverence Demon King couldn't believe it either. But that single sword strike from afar had utterly terrified them both. The Ape Reverence Demon King and the Tyrant Roar Demon King immediately fled frantically into the distance.

"King An Hai's Tribulation Sword?" The Yuyang Palace Master's face lit up with an expression of unbelievable ecstasy.

"His Highness is here?" Fairy Meng, his old subordinate, was also visibly stirred.

"You won't escape!" Though surprised and delighted, the Yuyang Palace Master swiftly pursued the fleeing Tyrant Roar Demon King and Ape Reverence Demon King.

Yan Jin had expected to die, but death never arrived. Instead, he faintly sensed a unique power beside him.

He dazedly opened his eyes, seeing the Poison Pond Demon King reduced to dust by the terrible fluctuations. He then saw the stern man's phantom beside him, commanding the gray sword shadow to streak across the sky, heading directly towards Yuyang Palace.

"When you were born, I sealed a sword mark on you," the stern man's phantom said calmly. "It's the same for all you siblings. This is your only life-saving sword mark. I will not give you a second chance. From now on, you must walk your own path. If you die in battle, you can only blame yourself for being useless."

With that, the stern man's phantom dissipated.

Yan Jin stared blankly, then slowly lowered his head, whispering, "Do you know? This is the first time in ten years I've heard your voice. I almost forgot I had a father."

"Do you think I'll be grateful to you? Hahaha..."

The usually quiet Yan Jin, however, laughed with a hint of madness.

The Tyrant Roar Demon King was immensely powerful, but his massive size prevented him from shaking off the Yuyang Palace Master.

In a one-on-one battle, in just eight moves, the Yuyang Palace Master punched a bloody hole in the Tyrant Roar Demon King's chest, shattering his heart. He then kicked the Tyrant Roar Demon King's head. The massive body of the Tyrant Roar Demon King crashed down, never to rise again.

"That ape demon king is fast," the Yuyang Palace Master noted, swiftly pursuing the other, Ape Reverence Demon King. However, the black-furred ape transformed into a streak of black light and used a forbidden technique to desperately flee, its speed too great to be matched.

The Ape Reverence Demon King's speed was astonishing.

He fled in such a panicked rush, not out of fear of the Yuyang Palace Master — he was confident his speed could outpace him. No, he feared 'King An Hai,' who had unleashed that single sword strike.

Who was King An Hai?

As long as he was within East Ning Prefecture, he could kill a mere Second Heaven Demon King like him from afar.

"King An Hai is always stationed at An Hai Pass; how could he be in East Ning Prefecture?" The Ape Reverence Demon King ran breathlessly to the world entrance.

He then pulled a beast horn from his robes and blew it fiercely.

"Wooooooo—"

The low wail of the beast horn, imbued with demonic power, reverberated in all directions, quickly spreading throughout East Ning City.

After blowing the horn, the Ape Reverence Demon King swiftly passed through the world entrance, returning to the Nine Summons Territory in the demon world.

"I actually made it back alive." Holding his staff, the black-furred ape looked at the distorted world entrance with lingering fear, feeling a sense of relief.

Throughout East Ning City, the scattered demon forces heard the low sound of the beast horn.

"Retreat?"

"The Demon King is ordering a retreat?"

Despite their confusion, the various demon forces swiftly began to withdraw.

The Yuyang Palace Master, unable to catch the Ape Reverence Demon King, swiftly ascended to the top of a large tree. From its crown, he stood steadily and observed vast numbers of demons converging from all directions, all rushing towards the 'world entrance.' This sight brought a sigh of relief to the Yuyang Palace Master: "The demons have retreated. This invasion is finally over."
