Chapter 74: Shelf Speech

As per the title, the book will be officially released tomorrow at 12 PM.

Before its release, I'd like to chat with all my esteemed readers, brothers, and sisters.

I'm not exactly a new author; I'm an old hand writing under a pen name.

However, this is my first time writing a book of this genre, so I lack experience. In that sense, I am indeed a newcomer. Therefore, I am extremely grateful for all the suggestions many readers have provided me with during this time.

Here are a few key points I'd like to address:

First, many readers have complained that the detective plotlines I write lack logical consistency.

I admit this point and have deeply recognized my shortcomings. Therefore, I will wrap up the 'Cat Demon Case' as soon as possible. After this storyline concludes, I will try to reduce pure mystery plots in future chapters. Instead, mystery elements will be secondary, with action-oriented storylines taking precedence.

I sincerely apologize for this; it has indeed led to a less-than-ideal reading experience. My writing skills are insufficient, and my mind isn't sharp enough, but I am committed to actively making improvements.

Second, regarding typos and grammatical errors.

I must also admit that there have indeed been some typos. I will pay much closer attention in the future. I read all your comments, and as soon as I spot an error, I will correct it immediately.

As I'm at home taking care of my child, who is less than a year old, I often don't have time to proofread after writing. However, I will try my best to set aside time for thorough checks in the future to minimize typos.

Third, regarding the female lead.

Let me clarify upfront: I don't write romance, so there is no designated female lead in my story's setting.

Currently, there are only two main female characters who have appeared in this book: Yan Sanniang and Gu Chuwinter.

Gu Chuwinter is set to be the protagonist's 'eyes' and emotional bond—she is a biological younger sister, without any melodramatic adoption plotlines.

Yan Sanniang, on the other hand, is designed as a friend and an NPC who triggers quests, not a female lead.

Fourth, regarding the parents.

Currently, there are no plans for these two characters to appear, nor are there any related character designs.

Of course, if any readers have good suggestions, feel free to share them for consideration.

Fifth, I hope everyone can brainstorm and suggest character settings. I have a dedicated thread in the review section where you can post your envisioned characters, including their martial arts, abilities, weapons, identities, and so on. I will take them into consideration.

So, concerning the book's content, these are the five points I'm reporting for now. I will provide further updates whenever necessary.

Next, let's talk about tomorrow's release.

The book currently has nearly 20,000 favorites.

I'll be bold and set a target: 1,500 initial subscriptions.

For every 100 additional initial subscriptions, I'll add one bonus chapter. For every 200 additional monthly votes, I'll add one bonus chapter. And one bonus chapter will be added for each 'Alliance Leader' tier donation.

Additionally, for tomorrow's release, I will publish 20,000 words.

Moving forward, I will publish no less than 6,000 words daily.
