Chapter 986: Floating Evil Collapse

Two days later!

Just like in the Sacred Ocean Region, within the coastal Southern Island Region, Fuxie, who had once again transformed into an alien appearance, was rapidly moving through a desolate mountain range. For the past two days, he had been traveling in concealment, first choosing to head to the outer sea from beneath the ocean. In his opinion, since everyone in the East of Wanggu was searching for Xu Qing, going to the outer sea would likely be much safer. Although the outer sea was fraught with danger and he didn't dare to enter it lightly, it was relatively more suitable for concealment.

This option, however, had to be abandoned after he sensed an invisible seal separating the inner and outer seas. This seal, stemming from the decrees of the Human Race and the Flame Moon Profound Sky Race, transcended rules with divine power, forming an imprint with a mere utterance. Upon contact, his concealment would become unstable. After gazing at it for a long time, Fuxie's heart grew heavier.

Ultimately, he changed direction. He had originally planned to find a place to continue hiding beneath the sea. However, in these two days, he felt the number of divine senses in the seabed skyrocketing every moment. They became increasingly numerous and dense. It seemed as if all divine beings in the inner sea had joined the search. Even the seawater felt unusual to him; the undercurrents around his body seemed to be mysteriously increasing.

"Especially that Flame Phoenix, constantly sensing. If this continues, the Great Emperor's treasure won't be able to hold out much longer. I must leave this area."

Under pressure and a rising sense of crisis, Fuxie abandoned the idea of going to the outer sea, then abandoned hiding in the inner sea. He thus came to the Southern Island Region, which was outside the jurisdiction of Feng Hai County. This region had almost no human presence and was controlled by seven mid-tier races. It rarely interacted with the outside world, making it, to some extent, an isolated place. Furthermore, the region's terrain was primarily mountainous, with endless deserts at its fringes. While this region seemed suitable for concealment, paradoxically, that very fact made it more likely to attract attention. Therefore, it became Fuxie's reluctant choice.

"Though this is also the Eastern Region, it is not directly controlled by the Human Race," he mused. With these thoughts, Fuxie entered the region, changing his appearance multiple times along the way. He cautiously severed all traces and karmic ties, carefully speeding through the desolate mountains. At the same time, he was constantly refining the remnant pagoda, attempting to assimilate Xu Qing into his body as quickly as possible. However, the power of the remnant pagoda was profound, and the rejection from the bubble always persisted, making the refining process incredibly slow. This intensified Fuxie's sense of urgency.

What further annoyed him was Xu Qing, who was inside the remnant pagoda. Xu Qing had seized some information from a previous remark Fuxie made. Consequently, over the past few days, Xu Qing's resistance had grown stronger, occasionally sending out divine thoughts. Although Fuxie severed these divine thoughts, preventing them from reaching the outside, their presence within his mind gradually made him gloomier.

"You chose not to answer my last question. It seems the Evil-Born Holy Land you belong to is indeed in turmoil!" Xu Qing sat cross-legged, his injuries mostly recovered, and sent out this divine thought. There was no response. "Or perhaps, it no longer exists!"

Xu Qing's expression was calm. Under the dominance of divinity, he was extremely rational. Thus, even though his personality preferred not to speak much, he needed to gauge the outside world's information through this dominator's reactions. "So, you must be fleeing now, escaping the human race's pursuit and evading searches from all sides!" Xu Qing continued.

But Fuxie was not foolish; no matter what Xu Qing said, there was not the slightest response. However, the gloom in his heart grew increasingly intense.

Fortunately, his judgment about the Southern Island Region seemed somewhat correct. After several days of entering this region, he did not sense the kind of divine thought searches he had encountered in the inner sea. After some consideration, Fuxie chose a cave, sat cross-legged inside, and prepared to hide for a while, fully dedicating himself to refining the remnant pagoda.

But this tranquility only lasted for a few hours. As night fell, outside Fuxie's cave, the heavens and earth rumbled, and powerful divine senses swept through, wave after wave. These were perceptions from the region's formidable beings. Fuxie immediately opened his eyes, extremely vigilant. Half an hour later, these divine senses dissipated.

But before Fuxie could even sigh in relief, an even more terrifying will, accompanied by divine power, swept through, devastating everything in its path. Its range covered all directions; wherever it passed, the sky churned, the earth trembled, and all mountains shook. It was a deity.

Fuxie's expression changed. He immediately took out the scissors, erasing the spread of their authority and intensifying his concealment. Outside his cave, a great wind howled. Within the wind, strange voices rose and fell. "Xu Qing, Xu Qing, Xu Qing." The tone was hoarse, carrying an indescribable melody that echoed in all directions. This was a deity exercising its divine authority, calling out a name. Where the sound reached, heaven and earth changed color. The great sword behind Fuxie trembled, and Xu Qing, inside the remnant pagoda, suddenly opened his eyes.

At this moment, Fuxie, without hesitation, bit his tongue and sprayed his precious Dao Blood onto the scissors. The scissors trembled, more rust appeared on them, and with a final snip, they erased everything. After a long time, the voice gradually faded. Fuxie's face, however, was already pale. He dared not stay any longer. After confirming the deity's departure, he immediately left, keeping the scissors out to maintain their power of erasure, and sped forward.

In this manner, another two days passed. He crossed countless mountains, changed direction multiple times, and finally entered a vast desert. During these two days, Fuxie had been constantly on edge. He encountered divine thoughts multiple times; if not for his Great Emperor's scissors, he would likely have been discovered countless times by now. But even with the Great Emperor's scissors, such frequent use incurred enormous consumption. Moreover, his repeated spitting of Dao Blood had caused some instability in his recently promoted cultivation. But he had no other option. The sense of oppression in his heart was now extremely strong. So, in the desert, Fuxie's body swayed, transforming into grains of sand, moving forward with the wind.

The first day, everything was normal. On the second day, as Fuxie, transformed into sand, was cautiously shifting, he suddenly paused. He heard a nursery rhyme: "Ten li of sand, search and seek, a hundred li of marsh, dredge and delve, a thousand li of graves, run and flee, ten thousand li of bamboo, there I find you. Fuxie, Fuxie, where are you? I will wait here until I find you!"

The nursery rhyme was eerie, its tone chilling. It struck Fuxie's heart like a tremendous wave. This was because it explicitly named him. The next moment, the entire desert began to tremble as the rhyme echoed. Countless grains of sand levitated, coalescing into small sandy hands that swayed like a prairie. The sound of the rhyme, surprisingly, emanated from every single grain of sand. Amidst the echoing and swaying, a profound sense of terror suddenly descended upon Fuxie's drastically changed expression. It transformed into an intense life-or-death crisis.

Fuxie's breathing quickened. Without hesitation, he self-destructed a small portion of the sand grains he embodied, forming more Dao Blood, which fell onto the now-visible scissors. With a snip! It severed his karmic ties, erased his traces, cut through time itself, and even utilized the scissors' intrinsic origin power.

The next instant, everything around Fuxie blurred in his perception. When everything became clear again, he had left the desert area, forcibly teleported by the scissors' origin power, and appeared in a swamp in an unknown region. As soon as he appeared, he couldn't help but spit out a large mouthful of blood. Before the blood could fall, he instantly raised his hand, caught it, and erased it. He could not leave any trace. The terror in his eyes was palpable. "What level of deity was that?!" he thought. "Just a little more, and I would have been fully known."

Fuxie's breathing was ragged. Along the way, the situations he encountered became increasingly perilous and bizarre. Even with his Dominator cultivation, he felt himself on the brink of life and death. Yet, before he could even clearly see his surroundings, his already turbulent heart suddenly churned once more. This was because in this unknown swamp, the water was rippling, the mud was vibrating, the surrounding dead trees were swaying, and the insects in the mud were writhing. Everything seemed to possess a will. This will wasn't extensive; it seemed to be merely an instinct. But this instinct... was to find him, to find Xu Qing!

Thus, in Fuxie's perception, the sense of danger erupted once again. He had no time to think; he could only activate the scissors' origin power once more. His figure was instantly "clipped" away, vanishing without a trace. After several more displacements across multiple areas, and as the cracks on the scissors proliferated, the increasingly weary Fuxie, both physically and mentally, finally appeared on a barren mountain resembling a lone tomb.

Only upon reaching this spot did the feeling of dread gradually subside. Yet, his heart was like parched earth, utterly cracked and enveloped in anxiety. And Xu Qing's divine thought arrived at this very moment.

"Your time is running out!""Shut up!"

This time, after enduring numerous dangers, Fuxie finally couldn't help but respond. Though it was only two words, Xu Qing's eyes inside the remnant pagoda suddenly flashed with brilliance. He had received his answer.

"It seems... your time... is truly running out!" Fuxie's face darkened. He severed Xu Qing's divine thought, and killing intent surged within his heart. "Then let's see if I refine Xu Qing first, or if... you find me first."

As he finished speaking, he was about to leave the mountain. But just then, the sky above the area suddenly filled with endless clouds. They surged towards him like an ocean. Within the clouds, a gigantic infant was vaguely visible, rapidly crawling. Immense heavenly might descended at this moment, accompanied by the infant's cries and shouts for "Daddy!" It arrived with fury. As the sound echoed, rules trembled, and laws prostrated themselves.

Fuxie's eyes widened, and he cried out in alarm, "Heavenly Dao."

With a gasp, Fuxie activated the scissors floating above his head once more, creating a power of isolation. With a forceful snip, a cracking sound emanated from the scissors. This cut caused even more cracks, making them look horrifying, and Fuxie's figure vanished with it. When he reappeared, he had completely lost his sense of direction, able only to speed forward guided by instinct and intuition. During this time, he repeatedly heard infant cries and sensed divine aura, each time compelling him to disregard his pain and control the scissors' power, spitting out Dao Blood again and again.

Finally, on the eighth day of his relentless flight, utterly exhausted, he arrived in an area. Here, there were no divine thoughts from powerful beings, no infant cries, nor divine whispers. There was only a ten-thousand-li bamboo forest. A crimson bamboo forest. A gentle breeze swept through, and the bamboo forest swayed like a red sea. The sound wasn't of rustling leaves but of wind blowing across a desert, stirring up grains of sand. Accompanying this sound was a nursery rhyme that made Fuxie's heart collapse: "Ten li of sand, search and seek, a hundred li of marsh, dredge and delve, a thousand li of graves, run and flee, ten thousand li of bamboo, there I find you. Fuxie, Fuxie, where are you? I will wait here until I find you!"

This nursery rhyme, like heavenly thunder, exploded in Fuxie's mind. Simultaneously, from the bamboo sea, a deity emerged. The sky glowed red with his arrival. The earth emitted crimson mist because of his appearance. Time, with his advent, was stained crimson. All the crimson, from sky, earth, and time, converged to form a red robe.

The one who arrived was a handsome middle-aged man with flowing long hair, each strand shimmering with light. The divine might emanating from his entire body could make the sun and moon lose their brilliance. This deity was named Yu Liuchen. He walked step by step towards the trembling Fuxie and let out a soft laugh.

"Fuxie, Fuxie, where are you? I will wait here until I find you!"

Fuxie's mind completely reeled, losing all power to resist. Even his thoughts froze at that moment. Only that nursery rhyme ceaselessly echoed in his mind, confirming everything he had experienced on his journey.

Meanwhile, in the boundless void, a procession composed of numerous mud figures, carrying a divine palanquin, traveled through time. Their destination was the forest sea where Yu Liuchen was. Er Niu's figure was also among the mud figures, manipulating a divine vine to sense the direction.

"It's useless, little ox. No need to bother with your flimsy vine. I already know Xu Qing's location!" A lazy voice emanated from within the divine palanquin.
