Chapter 831: He Waits for Him to Pull the Cart

Several days later, the scorching sun blazed in the fifth inner domain of the Blazing Moon Blood Xuan Heavenly Clan!

Blinding sunlight poured down onto an endless desert. Vast and desolate, dunes stretched in continuous waves of sand to the horizon, like the slumbering spines of colossal dragons. Rising heatwaves spread in all directions, baking everything scorching hot. The air was thick with a suffocating heat.

In the distance, a sandstorm, swirling with whistling winds, seemed to reach an eternal mirage at the horizon, holding elusive hope but more often, only deathly silence. And within that distant storm, a deathly still presence hung.

A colossal, blood-red chariot, a thousand zhang in size, roared out from within the vast sandstorm. It resembled the backbone of a gigantic dragon's head, swaying behind it like a nether-dragon. This was indeed a palanquin constructed from dragon bones. Every inch of bone was intricately carved with terrifying, densely packed symbols that exuded an aura of dread.

Above the dragon palanquin, over three hundred forbidden mountains floated grandly, their might astonishing the heavens. And within the lavishly decorated interior of the skull, a single person reclined.

It was a young man from the main Blazing Moon Xuan Heavenly Clan. He wore a long white robe embroidered with golden patterns, exuding boundless nobility. Yet, all this seemed mere embellishment compared to the young man himself. His exquisitely handsome face, eyes like stars, high nose bridge, and the aura emanating from his entire being all unequivocally revealed the nobility of his identity. It seemed that wherever he went, not only would subsidiary clans kneel in reverence, but even most Blazing Moon native cultivators would bow their heads, let alone clans from outside the Blazing Moon. With a single thought, his status alone could annihilate an entire clan.

At present, he appeared relaxed, propping his forehead with one hand while idly toying with a jade slip in the other. A slight curve formed at the corner of his mouth, and a flicker of interest gleamed in his eyes.

A moment later, the young man raised his head, looked forward, and said indifferently, "The speed is a bit slow."

In front of the dragon palanquin were hundreds of black iron chains, burning with fires that scorched both soul and flesh. Each chain was pulled at its end by hundreds of human cultivators. These cultivators were ragged, emaciated, and bore expressions of humiliation in their eyes, yet they could only endure and pull the dragon palanquin behind them.

At the very front of the crowd was a man taller than the others. His originally yellow long robe was now tattered, and blood stained the corner of his mouth. Yet, his gaze was resolute as he gritted his teeth, pulling the iron chains on his body forward. Pulled by them, the dragon palanquin surged out of the storm, its chains moving forward between heaven and earth, under the blazing flames.

If any retainers from the Human Imperial Capital were present, they would instantly recognize that these human cultivators pulling the chariot were none other than the Human Delegation that had come to the Blazing Moon Xuan Heavenly Clan! The young man at the very front was indeed the Human Grand Prince!

"You're still a bit slow!" the young man's voice echoed from within the dragon bones, unhurried yet laced with indifference. "At this pace, when will you be able to pull my palanquin to the divine mountain? Though I promised you regarding the human matter, that if you pull my palanquin all the way to the divine mountain, I would ask my royal father to speak on your behalf. But I am not satisfied with this speed!"

The hundreds of humans pulling the palanquin in front bowed their heads, their feelings of humiliation and helplessness growing stronger. As for the Grand Prince at the very front, he remained silent.

After a few breaths of silence, the Grand Prince suddenly lunged forward, letting the iron chains dig further into his flesh at his shoulders, increasing the speed once more. The others also gritted their teeth and exerted themselves simultaneously, causing the dragon palanquin's speed to pick up slightly. However, it was clear that the faster they moved, the greater the torment from the chains and the oppression from the dragon palanquin itself, but those pulling it had no right to choose!

Moreover, the dragon palanquin roared as it traversed the vast desert. The scorching heat beat down upon the Grand Prince and the others, seemingly capable of incinerating all self-respect.

"That's more like it!" The young man smiled. "You should know, from the moment you refused to discard your human identity, your maternal clan abandoned you. Within the entire Blazing Moon Xuan Heavenly Clan, only I find you interesting—and that's why I gave you this opportunity! So, Gu Yue Zhonghui, you must seize this chance!"

The Human Grand Prince remained silent.

As the young man spoke, he spun the jade slip in his fingers. "Also, I hear your human race has produced a remarkable individual who has killed many participants of the Grand Hunt in a forbidden zone within the eighth inner domain. Their methods seem quite ruthless! And some of those were my people!"

The Grand Prince froze, and the others were also stunned; they had no knowledge of this matter. A smile appeared on the young man's face. He slightly raised his hand, and immediately, the iron chains in front of the dragon palanquin transformed into hundreds of whip-like tendrils, each lashing down. A resounding boom echoed as all the chains struck the humans pulling the palanquin. Many spat blood, and the Grand Prince bore the brunt of it.

"It's nothing," the young man said. "However many of my people this individual killed, I'll whip you ten times that amount! This way... it's much more interesting!"

The sound of whipping echoed, and the dragon palanquin continued its journey. After traversing this desert region, as an oasis appeared before them, some figures of cultivators also emerged on the horizon. From afar, upon seeing the dragon palanquin, all cultivators, whether from subsidiary clans or the main Blazing Moon clan, noticed this scene. They either knelt in reverence or bowed their heads.

The young man's smile remained as he allowed the dragon palanquin to roar past those who bowed, a voice filled with amusement emanating from him. "Gu Yue Zhonghui, do you think that human brat will come looking for you once he learns you're pulling my palanquin? If he joins the pulling team, I might even reach the divine mountain a few days earlier."

The Grand Prince's expression changed, and the other humans also began to breathe rapidly. Their limited access to information meant they didn't know who the young man was referring to, nor could they guess. However, they clearly sensed the full malice from the young prince behind them. As he spoke, the jade slip in the young man's hand flashed, and he disseminated his location.

He then stretched and waved his hand, signaling the continued whipping throughout the journey.

Many Blazing Moon cultivators witnessed this, and the news, deliberately leaked by the young man himself, became known to even more people, spreading widely. Several days later, in the sixth domain, Xu Qing, wielding his long black spear, emerged from a mountain range. It was clear that the vengeful spirits on the long black spear had multiplied, and a strong scent of blood permeated Xu Qing's presence. Beside him, the Captain's smile blossomed as he occasionally glanced at his storage bag, clearly very satisfied with their gains.

As for Qiu Quezi, who followed behind them, he was utterly numb at this point. Along this journey, he had gained a deeper understanding of the human before him. The one called 'Captain' was an abnormal individual, possessing strange techniques and a fondness for turning foreign races into fruits and then eating them bite by bite! He had no choice but to eat a few foreign races himself; the taste wasn't bad. He had refused to do so to his own kind! Living in a world where deities existed, even as a Blazing Moon Xuan Heavenly Clan member, he had witnessed similar things, so it wasn't particularly shocking. What truly stunned him was the 'Little A-Qing' mentioned by the Captain. He had seen killers, and was one himself, yet he was still shaken by Xu Qing's massacres.

Unless they encountered the Bai Ze clan, Xu Qing rarely took the initiative to strike, nor would he raid anyone simply for possessing mountains; there was no need. Because the hundreds of floating mountains above him were enough to deter many cultivators. However, some ruthless individuals still attempted to raid and kill him through various methods. Those who dared to provoke him all met the same end: their corpses turned to ashes, their souls devoured by countless red threads, and their forbidden mountains became masterless. Just like what happened moments ago in that mountain range! Along the way, such incidents became more frequent, and the number of forbidden mountains above Xu Qing's head rapidly increased! Clearly, a vortex was roaring into motion, centered around Xu Qing.

Qiu Quezi had also investigated the reason for this vortex and had informed Xu Qing about the attention garnered by the Bai Ze clan and the humans within the Blazing Moon Xuan Heavenly Clan, due to their imposing presence. However, the Captain paid no heed, and Xu Qing's expression remained as calm as ever.

Qiu Quezi didn't understand at first, but after his own contemplation and considering the current state of the human race, he found his answer. This individual intended to contend for the qualification of a Xuan Heavenly General, using this method to resolve the current crisis of the human race. No wonder he had massacred so many of the Bai Ze clan; it stood to reason that if the Si E clan appeared, he would immediately slay them as well!

With these thoughts in mind, Qiu Quezi pondered for a moment. To avoid future misunderstandings, he still decided to inform Xu Qing of the information he had just obtained.

He said, "I just received news concerning your Human Grand Prince!"

Qiu Quezi looked at Xu Qing. Xu Qing retracted his long black spear and continued walking forward, looking up at the hundreds of forbidden mountains above his head.

"Speak!"

"The Human Grand Prince and his remaining attendants were captured by the Crown Prince of King Min Nan. They seem to have made some sort of deal, and so the Grand Prince and the others are now pulling his dragon palanquin! This matter has already spread throughout the Blazing Moon," Qiu Quezi spoke in a low voice.

Xu Qing's expression remained unchanged, and the Captain wasn't particularly surprised either. Qiu Quezi had mentioned this matter before, and such dealings were irrelevant to them and beyond their ability to interfere with.

"The cultivators you killed, friend, included some of King Min Nan's Crown Prince's subordinates. Therefore, he publicly announced that for every Blazing Moon cultivator you kill, he will whip the humans pulling his palanquin, including the Grand Prince, ten times. He also revealed his own whereabouts!" Qiu Quezi hesitated, but still relayed the information truthfully.

Xu Qing's steps faltered, and the Captain's eyebrows rose.

"This way, it became relevant to them."

"He deliberately revealed his whereabouts!"

Xu Qing turned to look at Qiu Quezi. Facing Xu Qing's gaze, Qiu Quezi felt immense pressure. After taking a deep breath, he nodded. "It was deliberate. He's currently in the fourth inner domain, clearly trying to lure you there, friend. This Crown Prince Min Nan holds a noble status within the Blazing Moon Xuan Heavenly Clan. His father, King Min Nan, serves under the Sun Flame God before the Heavenly Cloud Judicial Authority's tent, greatly valued by the Judicial Authority, with immense cultivation and power!"

"How many mountains does he have?" Xu Qing asked.

"Over four hundred, it's said!" Qiu Quezi looked at Xu Qing.

A cold glint flashed in Xu Qing's eyes as he calmly stated, "Lead the way!"

The Captain grinned from the side. Qiu Quezi's heart trembled, and he wanted to persuade them otherwise, but seeing the chilling determination in Xu Qing's eyes, he chose to nod.

Three long streaks of light instantly shot up, soaring towards the fourth inner domain!
