Chapter 752: Light Armor

The Human World

The Earth Element Banner attacked the ancient restriction, meeting stubborn resistance.

Yellow light surged like waves, continuously beating against it, almost submerging the stone hall. The earth trembled incessantly, and rumbling sounds echoed from underground. Everyone was nearly unable to sit still, yet they steadfastly protected the Earth Element Banner and maintained the spiritual formation.

A moment later, a welcome sign appeared: the ancient restriction began to fluctuate violently, gradually dimming.

Seeing this, Xiang Yi's face lit up with joy, and he urgently commanded, "Fellow Daoists, continue! Fully activate the Earth Element Banner!" Qin Sang and the others had no choice but to increase their power.

An endless stream of earth elemental power converged. The ground vibrated more and more violently, as if a real earthquake had struck. The rumbling was deafening, and many stones even began to show cracks.

Immediately after, Xiang Yi stretched out a hand and forcefully pressed it onto the triangular flag. In an instant, a dazzling light shot out like a swift arrow of light.

With a loud 'boom,' a circular opening was breached in the ancient restriction.

However, the ancient restriction here was not as simple as it seemed. After being broken by the Earth Element Banner, runes flashed at the opening, slowly recovering and expelling the yellow light.

Seeing this, Xiang Yi dared not wait any longer. He withdrew his hand and whispered, "Fellow Daoists, maintain the Earth Element Banner. I'll be back shortly." With that, Xiang Yi dropped the Earth Element Banner, tapped his foot, and in a flash, appeared before the ancient restriction, leaping inside.

Once he retrieved the treasure, the mission would be complete. This thought arose in everyone's minds, and their expressions relaxed.

Just then, Qin Sang suddenly frowned and instinctively looked down at the ground. Due to the Earth Element Banner, the ground beneath had been shaking continuously, especially their location, where stone cracks had appeared, but the impact wasn't significant.

It was the same now; it looked no different from before. Yet, Qin Sang felt a subtle abnormality for some reason, though he couldn't pinpoint why.

'Rumble... rumble...'The earth was shaking. Amidst the tremor, there was also a rhythmic pulse.

Qin Sang's expression abruptly changed. Just as he was about to shout, the ground beneath them suddenly 'exploded' with a loud 'boom,' without the slightest warning.

A powerful shockwave erupted from underground, instantly blasting the entire ground open.

Everyone was completely unprepared. Debris flew everywhere, creating chaos.

A deep hole appeared at the center of the explosion, and a long, slender figure shot skyward, writhing like a flood dragon. Nearly ten feet of it had emerged from the ground, with an unknown length still coiling beneath. No one had noticed when this fierce beast had burrowed beneath them!

Since no one was maintaining the triangular flag at the formation's core, and the Earth Element Banner was directed solely at the ancient restriction, other areas were left unguarded. The flag formation was shattered almost instantly by the fierce beast, and everyone was inevitably affected by the shockwave. Screams erupted as they were sent tumbling and scattered in all directions.

Qin Sang swiftly activated his Golden Radiance Armor, blocking the impact, but still felt a dull ache in his chest. The strength of this fierce beast was definitely comparable to that of a late-stage demon core great demon!

What was worse, everyone had been dispersed and separated from the bone lotus's protection. Purple mist surged in, covering everything. Qin Sang felt a stinging sensation on his skin and hastily activated his protective spiritual light, his True Essence rapidly depleting.

Just as he was about to awaken the Fat Silkworm and rendezvous with the others, he suddenly felt a strong gust of wind above his head. He abruptly looked up, his gaze sharpening, and his expression drastically changed.

For some reason, the purple mist overhead had thinned, revealing countless dark figures in the air: they were all Purple Star Vultures! Judging by their sheer numbers, the Purple Star Vultures had likely been mobilized en masse.

They had used purple weasels as bait and easily shaken off the Purple Star Vultures shortly after crossing the canyon. They never expected the vultures to relentlessly pursue them all the way here.

Furthermore, the Purple Star Vultures were already so close when Qin Sang and the others finally noticed them.

Upon reflection, it wasn't surprising. The commotion caused by the Earth Element Banner was too great, not only concealing the underground beast's movements but also drowning out the sound of the Purple Star Vultures flying.

Here, enveloped by the poisonous mist, they could neither see outside nor dare to extend their divine sense. Their spiritual perception was thus minimized, making them almost as blind as a bat. Now that even sounds were muffled, it was no wonder they hadn't detected the imminent danger.

For this reason, they had also set up some warning restrictions before activating the Earth Element Banner. For unknown reasons, none of them had taken effect.

With fierce beasts above and below, they were under attack from both sides.

The Purple Star Vultures glared downwards in unison, their eyes furious and filled with extreme frenzy. Air currents dispersed the purple mist, replaced by dense swarms of Purple Star Vultures that even blotted out the sky.

'Screech!' The Purple Star Vultures let out furious screeches, seemingly hating them to their core. One by one, they plunged downwards recklessly, as if on a suicidal dive!

'Whoosh! Whoosh!' Seeing this sight, everyone's faces turned pale with fright. Qin Sang even felt a chill run down his spine.

He was in the foremost position, the first to be targeted by the Purple Star Vultures. The others weren't faring any better. Having just been hit by the underground beast's impact, they hadn't even found their footing when they discovered the overwhelming numbers of Purple Star Vultures. Everyone was instantly engulfed by them!

"Everyone, regroup at the stone hall..." In the end, Qin Sang only faintly heard the urgent cry from the cultivator named Liu, and then lost sight of everyone. His vision was filled with dense swarms of Purple Star Vultures.

Fighting individually, it was debatable whether they could break through the Purple Star Vultures' encirclement. More likely, they would die from the poisonous mist invading their internal organs before being killed by the vultures themselves.

If Xiang Yi was quick enough, he should have been able to emerge from the stone hall in time when the anomaly occurred. The bone lotus was in his hands; only by regrouping with him could they hope to escape.

At this moment, there was no energy left to delve into why the underground beast and the Purple Star Vultures had appeared here.

"Screech!" His ears were almost deafened by the Purple Star Vultures' screeches. One vulture spread its sharp claws and pounced towards Qin Sang's face.

In a rush, a flash of light appeared between Qin Sang's brows. The Ebony Sword transformed into a bolt of lightning, piercing through the Purple Star Vulture. Sword energy erupted, pulverizing the vulture's corpse into a bloody mess.

Unfortunately, the other Purple Star Vultures showed no fear or hesitation upon witnessing this. They had forgotten life and death; their eyes held only slaughter.

Qin Sang's expression darkened. He pointed the Ebony Sword, dispelled his sword formation, and slew the nearest Purple Star Vulture, but the gap was quickly filled.

He secretly frowned. Though his slaying of the Purple Star Vultures seemed swift, it was actually not easy.

Moreover, to resist the poisonous mist, he had to constantly circulate his True Essence, making him as conspicuous as a bright moon in the Purple Star Vultures' eyes. There was no way to hide himself. If this continued, he would be exhausted to death before long.

"I wonder how the others are faring?" Qin Sang pondered silently, activating the Ebony Sword to kill his enemies. He slapped his bug pouch, opening it.

The Fat Silkworm awoke and willingly leaped into Qin Sang's palm. Its plump body wriggled left and right. Noticing the surrounding poisonous mist, it showed no difficulty, opening its mouth and exhaling a colorful halo of light.
