Chapter 745: Blood Moon Formation Begins

“Look! What’s that!”

As midnight approached, just as everyone was wondering why the immortal array showed no signs of activity, someone noticed something unusual and cried out, pointing at the center of the hurricane.

Behind the gray wind wall, a faint bloody light appeared, seemingly out of nowhere. Judging by its position, the light was clearly in the deepest part of the hurricane, yet those standing outside could see it clearly, and it was incredibly vivid!

Qin Sang’s gaze sharpened slightly, realizing this anomaly indicated that the array might already be breaking from within.

“Everyone, take out your jade pendants,” Xiang Yi commanded. “With them, you can receive protection. Otherwise, we won’t be able to move an inch within the immortal array.”

Following his order, everyone took out their jade pendants.

Just then, Xiang Yi suddenly conjured a spirit talisman. With a flick of his finger, the talisman ignited without flame, and a cluster of transparent threads shot out, landing on the jade pendants held by the others.

Everyone grew wary, but they couldn't stop the threads.

“Daoist Friend Xiang, what is the meaning of this?” the young man with the sword questioned coldly, his expression darkening.

Xiang Yi smiled faintly. “Everyone, please calm down. I am merely concerned that you might encounter unforeseen circumstances while navigating the array and become separated. You all know time is of the essence; I doubt you’d want to waste time and effort searching for each other once inside, would you? The Seven Kills Hall is vast, and once separated, reuniting won't be easy. I will remove the effect of the talisman myself later.”

Qin Sang secretly frowned, activating his spiritual sense to perceive the threads, but he couldn't discern what kind of power they possessed.

This mission was rumored to be related to the leader of the Eastern Extremity Alliance. Unless they intended to sever ties with the Alliance upon leaving the Seven Kills Hall, none of the seven present would dare go back on their word. The Eastern Extremity Alliance was a colossal entity, its influence spanning the entire realm, and its leader was a peerless master. Both the righteous and demonic factions, as well as other trade alliances, were willing to show deference to the Alliance Leader. Offending him would make it impossible to move freely, whether in the Inner Sea or the Demonic Sea.

However, it wasn't impossible that someone daring enough might try to escape during the array traversal. The jade pendants were very fragile, shattering at a touch. If Xiang Yi wanted to tamper with them covertly, it would be extremely simple. His openly deploying the threads was likely meant as a warning.

As long as it didn't affect his search for the ancient teleportation array, Qin Sang didn't want to risk angering the Eastern Extremity Alliance, so he paid little mind to the threads. Although the others were displeased, they also tolerated it.

After this brief interlude, everyone noticed that the bloody light had slowly risen from the hurricane's center, like a blood-red moon, hanging high in the sky directly facing the hurricane. At that moment, without any warning, the blood moon suddenly shattered.

Countless fragments of the blood moon exploded outwards. Instantly, a dazzling crimson light erupted, descending from the sky and plunging directly into the heart of the hurricane. A strange, invisible ripple suddenly burst forth from the hurricane's core, sweeping across all directions in an instant.

The shockwave impacted everyone, causing their minds to tremble. They stared intently at the hurricane, not blinking.

“Blood moon opens the array,” Qin Sang murmured softly, recalling the scene when the Minor Big Dipper Primordial Array broke open an immortal array in the past.

Unfortunately, the spectacle of the bloody light impacting the immortal array was obscured by the hurricane, leaving the interior still a chaotic blur, impossible to discern. The strange ripples continued to erupt, without a world-shattering display, yet they sent shivers down their spines.

“The wind wall is cracking! The array is broken, quick!” someone suddenly yelled.

Qin Sang fixed his gaze. The gray wind wall, which had been a solid entity, now had fissures appearing at some unknown moment. The turmoil radiated from the hurricane's center. After the first crack appeared, the entire wind wall abruptly fractured, with countless fissures of varying sizes crisscrossing its surface. The hurricane seemed to be on the verge of collapsing. The underwater vortex also churned restlessly.

At that moment, the surrounding wind force significantly weakened, even offering a momentary calm. Xiang Yi’s movements were no slower than anyone else's. Seeing the crack, he immediately ordered them to rush in.

Qin Sang and the others followed closely. With a few blinks, they were before the wind wall. They chose a small crack and rushed in without hesitation.

After entering the crack, their vision became even narrower. Gray mist was everywhere, and they couldn't see anything else. As for the Seven Kills Hall's immortal array, they didn't even know its direction. However, the jade pendants would guide them.

Qin Sang and the others followed Xiang Yi's instructions, staying close to him. Not long after entering, the restrictions within the jade pendants activated on their own, seemingly connecting with something at the hurricane's core. Immediately, eight streams of bloody light shot forth from ahead, enveloping them instantly.

“Light of the blood moon. It seems this is the spiritual array power Xiang Yi mentioned, capable of protecting us,” Qin Sang nodded inwardly.

Once enveloped by the bloody light, the dreadful oppressive sensation vanished. The light protected them from the hurricane's corrosive force. They continued forward. The scenery before them remained unchanging, a uniform gray haze. However, the bloody light grew increasingly dense, clearly indicating that unknown changes were occurring outside.

The bloody light became more and more dazzling, making it almost impossible to see anything outside with the naked eye. In such a place, they didn't dare release their spiritual sense to probe freely. They could only follow the jade pendants' guidance, moving silently onward.

Boom!

Ahead, a terrifying wave suddenly appeared, crashing violently into them. The bloody light trembled, creating intense fluctuations. Enveloped in the bloody light, they felt utterly helpless. They could do nothing but worry, watching the light anxiously, fearing it would shatter.

Fortunately, the wave came and went quickly, and the bloody light regained its calm. But the calm was short-lived. Soon, new waves appeared, stronger than before, continuous and relentless, one after another.

The bloody light was frequently impacted, appearing somewhat diluted. Qin Sang could finally faintly glimpse the outside. To his surprise, it seemed to be water waves crashing against them. This expenditure of spirit stones was worth it. Without the jade pendants, it would have been impossible for him to pass through the immortal array with his own power.

Although it appeared thin, the bloody light remained exceptionally sturdy, protecting them and keeping their formation intact. Gradually, everyone relaxed.

“We should be almost through the immortal array,” Qin Sang had been silently calculating the time, and cross-referencing it with the information he had gathered, estimating they were close.

“What is the relationship between Seven Kills Hall and Ziwei Palace? Is the ancient teleportation array truly in the Heavenly Tower? After fifty years of waiting, I'm finally inside. I hope to find something useful…”

Qin Sang felt a surge of emotion, his thoughts drifting. Then he abruptly lowered his head, staring intently at the Thousand-Jin Ring on his hand, a look of extreme surprise on his face. Just now, an unusual vibration had emanated from the Thousand-Jin Ring. He swept his spiritual sense over it, and found that the bone flute, now fused from two sections, was glowing and pointing to his left.

Since the bone flute had been fused, no matter what Qin Sang did with it, it had remained unresponsive. Such an anomaly had never occurred before. This clear guidance was also unprecedented.

“It's calling!” Qin Sang was utterly surprised. “Is it another section of the bone flute, or something else? Why didn't it react like this when I first encountered the second section of the bone flute?”
