Chapter 736: Great Battle Against the Horde of Demons

Qin Sang knew there was no escape.

Behind him were two powerful demonic beasts: a black eagle, exceptionally majestic and capable of wielding golden lightning, and a winged flying fish, extremely bizarre in appearance. They were incredibly strong, paragons among demonic beasts of the same realm, each no less powerful than the Two-Headed Hou, perhaps even stronger. With practiced coordination, they split to encircle Qin Sang from both sides. More concerning was that Qin Sang wasn't facing just these two; other powerful demonic beasts in the distance, having heard the giant turtle's summons, were converging on their location.

Without looking back, Qin Sang forged ahead with his sword, ruthlessly slaying demons. The seawater was stained red with blood, crimson waves surged, and countless demonic corpses floated on the surface.

The two powerful demonic beasts caught up, drawing closer. Qin Sang's eyes flashed, and a fierce expression appeared on his face. He suddenly sheathed his sword, spun around, and fixed his gaze on the strange flying fish.

The strange flying fish's heart skipped a beat; its instincts screamed danger!

The next moment, Qin Sang moved abruptly.

Qin Sang had been planning this for a while. He knew that if he became entangled with both powerful demonic beasts in the beast tide, he would slowly be worn down. The best way to break free was to defeat them one by one, starting with the first. Had he encountered this situation before, Qin Sang's only option would have been to flee. But now that he had broken through to the mid-Core Formation stage, his strength had surged, and he was no longer so fearful; he even felt that victory was within reach.

With both talismans and the Sword Qi Thunder Roar activated, Qin Sang's escape speed suddenly surged to an astonishing degree. Like a streak of red lightning, his escaping light rapidly expanded in the strange flying fish's pupils.

The strange flying fish let out a shriek, like a child's cry, incredibly eerie.

This battle-hardened powerful demonic beast didn't panic. It shrieked for help from the black eagle while simultaneously puffing out its mouth, from which a silvery-white pearl flew forth. Qin Sang initially thought it was the strange flying fish's demonic core, but upon closer inspection, he realized it wasn't. He surmised it was some kind of pearl the strange flying fish had obtained from the deep sea. This pearl was extraordinary; its aura rivaled that of a magical artifact, and its formation was a mystery. Qin Sang had encountered demonic beasts capable of refining treasures before, but they were rare, numbering only a few.

After casting the pearl, the strange flying fish's abdomen swelled, then it sprayed a mouthful of green qi onto the pearl. The pearl spun rapidly, churning the green qi, from which streams of green ethereal light burst forth. Deep within the ethereal light, there were clusters of fist-sized, peculiar orbs of light. These orbs were even more dazzling than the ethereal light, and within their centers, lightning seemed to flicker.

"It seems to be some kind of divine thunder," Qin Sang mused, "I wonder if it's the strange flying fish's own innate ability or the power of this pearl..."

Qin Sang's gaze narrowed slightly; the power of the green light clusters was considerable. He could already feel a stinging sensation. Without hesitation, he pointed his ebony sword, and the Blood Foul Divine Light emerged. Upon contact with the Blood Foul Divine Light, the pearl's luster dimmed, its rotation speed plummeted, and it began to shake violently. The green ethereal light dispersed, and the divine thunder did not dissipate, but it was only in its preliminary form.

Qin Sang's speed remained undiminished; he boldly crashed through the divine thunder. In an instant, he was already upon the strange flying fish. He put away his ebony sword, flicked his long sleeve, and the Ten Directions Yama Banners flew out simultaneously, materializing the Nine Nether Demonic Flame right before the strange flying fish's eyes.

The strange flying fish was both shocked and enraged, but by then, it was too late to escape. Qin Sang and the Two-Headed Hou were even faster. The Nine Nether Demonic Flame lunged onto the strange flying fish, shattering its protective spiritual light almost instantly.

"Boom!"

Struck violently by the Nine Nether Demonic Flame, the strange flying fish wailed. The flesh on its spine was corroded by the demonic flame, and one of its wings was reduced to mere bones. To make matters worse, its consciousness was also impacted by the demonic flame, leaving it disoriented. The strange flying fish swayed its head, and before it could regain its balance, the Two-Headed Hou finally arrived. The Two-Headed Hou immediately knocked the strange flying fish over, its four hooves trampling the creature. Its two heads simultaneously bit into the strange flying fish's vitals, and its vertical pupils shot out wind blades, which the strange flying fish endured almost entirely.

The strange flying fish screamed incessantly, its body riddled with wounds and covered in blood.

Qin Sang watched it coldly, his eyes devoid of any pity. Just as he was about to unleash the Nine Nether Demonic Flame for another attack to finish off the strange flying fish, he suddenly felt a tension in his back, and his hair stood on end.

The black eagle attacked, bathed in golden light. It let out a shriek as an exceptionally thick bolt of golden lightning tore through the void, heading straight for Qin Sang's back. The golden lightning struck diagonally, moving at an astonishing speed and possessing terrifying power. Qin Sang, focused on killing the strange flying fish, was caught off guard by the black eagle.

Qin Sang gritted his teeth and, instead of dodging, without looking back, he pointed a finger and unleashed the Nine Nether Demonic Flame without reservation, still targeting the strange flying fish. Suppressed by the Two-Headed Hou, the strange flying fish was already powerless to resist the Nine Nether Demonic Flame. It let out a desperate shriek as the Nine Nether Demonic Flame pierced its vitals, killing it instantly.

Simultaneously, Qin Sang was struck by the golden lightning.

"CRACK!"

Where Qin Sang had stood, only dazzling golden light remained, engulfing his entire being. The Two-Headed Hou, holding the strange flying fish's golden core in its mouth, looked over with a somewhat complex expression.

Moments later, a violent fluctuation emanated from deep within the golden light, and a disheveled figure burst out. Qin Sang's face was pale, with traces of blood at the corners of his mouth, but he appeared to have no obvious injuries. Most remarkably, a golden barrier shimmered on his body, now extremely dim.

Qin Sang flashed behind the Two-Headed Hou and checked his condition. He inwardly thought, "That was close!" Fortunately, the Golden Radiance Armor's defense was strong enough; otherwise, he would surely have been severely injured by that blow. Having pushed the strange flying fish to its limits, Qin Sang knew that if he didn't finish it off while he had the advantage and allowed it to recover, all his effort would be wasted. Therefore, he was willing to risk enduring the black eagle's attack to slay the strange flying fish. His confidence stemmed from the Golden Radiance Armor. This magical artifact's durability rivaled that of a mid-grade artifact, and it certainly didn't disappoint him; his injuries were not severe. He considered these minor injuries a worthwhile trade for the life of a powerful demonic beast.

Qin Sang swallowed a healing pill, and a flush spread across his face. He forcibly suppressed his injuries, then coldly stared at the black eagle and growled, "Continue!"

This time, the situation reversed: Qin Sang and the Two-Headed Hou encircled the black eagle from left and right. The black eagle, having witnessed the strange flying fish's corpse being torn apart, was utterly terrified. It immediately turned to flee, shrieking commands to other lesser demons to stop Qin Sang and crying for help from the giant turtle.

The distance between them was already minimal, and the lesser demons could not play much of a role. Qin Sang easily caught up to the black eagle, and once the Two-Headed Hou arrived, the outcome was clear. Originally, being entangled by these two powerful demonic beasts in the beast tide would have put Qin Sang in an extremely dangerous situation. But by risking injury and killing the strange flying fish with lightning speed, he instantly reversed the situation.

The black eagle still struggled, but its defeat was certain; it couldn't cause much trouble.

Its shriek alarmed the distant battlefield. Both the Spirit Turtle and True Monarch Yuan San witnessed this scene. The giant turtle fell into a rage, while True Monarch Yuan San was overjoyed.
