Chapter 734: Meeting

The closer he got to Muyuan Island, the more alarmed Qin Sang became. The scale of the beast tide was even larger than he had imagined, and the area ahead was already in chaos.

Seeing this scene, Qin Sang hesitated but decided to go to Muyuan Island to assess the situation. After Jinyuan Island was overrun by the beast tide last time, the Qiongyu Chamber of Commerce had shifted its focus to Muyuan Island, making it highly probable that the Wang sisters were on the island.

If they were sufficiently vigilant, they should have been able to detect signs of the beast tide in advance and react accordingly. However, the islanders were unaware of the terrifying scale of this beast tide; if they couldn't evacuate in time, they would likely be encircled and killed by the growing number of demonic beasts.

Along the way, some demonic beasts discovered his movement and pursued him. Fortunately, there were no powerful great demons, and Qin Sang easily outran them all.

Qin Sang traveled almost non-stop, taking turns with the Two-Headed Hou, until Muyuan Island finally came into view.

Seeing the scene on Muyuan Island from a distance, Qin Sang frowned inwardly.

Demonic beasts covered the sky and ground, a dark, dense mass that completely surrounded Muyuan Island. In the center of the battlefield, amidst the continuous roars of beasts, there were also shouts of battle, indicating many cultivators were trapped.

Under the cover of the Two-Headed Hou, Qin Sang stealthily approached Muyuan Island. Upon reaching the edge of the battlefield, he saw bizarre-looking sea beasts ahead, resembling an ant colony.

These sea beasts were utterly fearless; although their cultivation was not high, facing such a massive siege, even Qin Sang would feel his scalp tingle.

Loud booming sounds emanated from within the beast tide. Qin Sang focused his gaze and discovered several Foundation Establishment cultivators jointly activating a shuttle-shaped artifact, struggling to break through.

There were two men and two women, all at the late stage of Foundation Establishment. The shuttle artifact was peculiar, as it could be jointly operated by four people, unleashing immense power. A single collision could clear a large swath of demonic beasts.

They were on the verge of breaking through the encirclement, but the demonic beasts were continuously replenished, making it impossible for them to cover that short distance. To make matters worse, activating the shuttle consumed an enormous amount of energy. Two of them were pale-faced and faltering, seemingly unable to hold on much longer.

Seeing this, Qin Sang gave an instruction to the Two-Headed Hou, and both he and the beast rapidly accelerated.

Upon reaching the outer perimeter of the battlefield, the Two-Headed Hou shook its head, and a storm shot forth from its vertical pupils, sweeping outwards. The sea beasts were easily shredded by the storm, falling dead one after another.

"A Core Formation great demon!"

The four cultivators saw the storm heading towards them, and sensing its power, expressions of despair appeared on their faces. Unexpectedly, just as the storm was about to reach them, it dissipated on its own. Immediately afterwards, a sword light, like a swimming dragon, shot out from within the dispersing storm.

Under the astonished gaze of the four, the sword light gently circled, decapitating the surrounding demonic beasts. The four instantly realized they had encountered a powerful benefactor. Filled with surprise and relief, they ran outwards with all their might.

"Thank you, Senior, for saving our lives!"

The four finally escaped to safety, still shaken. They immediately bowed to Qin Sang, their faces full of gratitude.

"Is this Senior's spirit beast?"

A woman looked at the Two-Headed Hou, her face filled with shock. Then, seeing the Two-Headed Hou behaving docilely by Qin Sang's side, she realized that such a powerful great demon was actually Qin Sang's tamed spirit beast. Her impression of Qin Sang immediately rose further.

So much time had passed since the 'Stolen Fire' incident, and no news had emerged from Huntian Island. There was no longer a need for the Two-Headed Hou to remain hidden.

"What happened? Why are so many people trapped on the island? Was there no warning before the beast tide attacked?" Qin Sang asked in a deep voice, pressing for details about the island's situation.

At this moment, the beast tide's attention was drawn to them, and they swarmed closer. Qin Sang had no choice but to summon the Flying Heavenly Yaksha, instructing it and the Two-Headed Hou to defend against the enemies.

Facing the overwhelming beast tide, the four cultivators' faces turned pale, but they dared not leave without permission and could only honestly answer Qin Sang's questions.

"To report, Senior, at the very beginning, someone did indeed discover signs of the beast tide. However, just as the news arrived, a group of Core Formation great demons suddenly appeared on the island and fiercely attacked the grand formation. Caught off guard, the formation couldn't withstand more than a few blows before being breached by those demonic beasts. The island immediately fell into chaos. Everyone had to fight for themselves, and many, like us, couldn't evacuate in time before the beast tide followed closely..."

After learning this, Qin Sang inwardly thought, 'No wonder.' The cultivators on the Five Elements Island had no intention of directly resisting the beast tide; the formations they set up were merely temporary expedients. This time, the beast tide's leader was highly intelligent, having seemingly understood the cultivators' weaknesses.

"Did you see anyone from the Eastern Extremities Alliance when you left the city?" Qin Sang pressed for more information. Facing such a natural disaster, the various chambers of commerce of the Eastern Extremities Alliance would surely gather first. He just didn't know if they had managed to break through.

The four looked at each other. One woman hesitantly said, "To report, Senior, when this junior left the city, I seemed to see two Manager Wangs heading in that direction. I haven't seen them since."

The others also shook their heads.

The Wang sisters managed the Qiongyu Chamber of Commerce on his behalf and were very famous. Most cultivators on Five Elements Island recognized them, regarding them as goddesses of wealth.

Three years ago, Wang Xiang successfully formed her Golden Core. In fact, Wang Xiang's success in forming her Golden Core was a stroke of luck. Qin Sang had used his connections to help them acquire top-grade Demonic Qi Pills, but Wang Xiang had failed even after taking several. With the demonic qi in her body nearing its limit, she could only take one more. Wang Xiang miraculously succeeded. For a time, the two sisters forming Golden Cores together became a celebrated tale.

Looking in the direction the woman pointed, Qin Sang's heart suddenly sank. That was precisely the direction from which the beast tide had attacked, with countless demonic beasts surging forward endlessly.

"Let's go!" Qin Sang uttered a low cry and sped away. The four dared not linger for a moment and quickly departed.

Qin Sang did not dare to rush in recklessly himself. He ordered the Two-Headed Hou to blend into the demonic horde and search. The Two-Headed Hou moved effortlessly within the beast tide, and after a search, it finally found the Wang sisters, along with some cultivators from other chambers of commerce in the Eastern Extremities Alliance.

They were trapped by the demonic beasts and in a very sorry state, having already lost quite a few people. Fortunately, both Wang sisters had broken through to the Golden Core stage; otherwise, their fate would likely have been far more tragic.

"Roar!" The Two-Headed Hou crashed through a giant sea beast, appearing before everyone. It let out a low roar, signaling them to follow it, then its form flickered, splitting into six figures, turning to face the beast tide, baring its fangs.

"It's the Daoist priest's spirit beast!" Upon seeing the Two-Headed Hou, the Wang sisters' somewhat weary eyes were immediately replaced by pleasant surprise, and they called out loudly. "The Daoist priest has come to save us, quickly follow!"

At once, everyone's morale surged, and they followed the Two-Headed Hou, pushing outwards.

Meanwhile, Qin Sang also appeared at the edge of the demonic beast horde. He summoned the Ten Directions Yama Banner and activated its demonic fire to break through and meet them.

The Nine Nether Demonic Fire transformed into a long dragon, sweeping away all obstacles. A path between the two sides was cleared, and they saw each other.

"Daoist priest..." Wang Xiang bounced as she waved, her voice clear and crisp. Wang Shi also looked delighted.

Meeting with great difficulty amidst the beast tide, everyone felt somewhat disoriented. They had initially thought most of them would die here, but unexpectedly, they had escaped from the brink of death, feeling a sense of unreality.
