Chapter 532: Hard Break-In

Hiding in the shadows, Qin Sang overheard Wu Youdao's words and realized that if he didn't seize the opportunity to leave the Qingyang Demonic Sect, he might never get out.

After giving instructions to the others, Wu Youdao flew towards the inner sect alone.

Once Wu Youdao's figure disappeared, Qin Sang moved, emerging from the shadows and quietly approaching the sect's main gate.

Under these circumstances, a peaceful resolution was impossible; he would have to force his way out.

Qin Sang was prepared for a major battle with Wu Youdao. With his current strength, he believed he could hold his own against Wu Youdao. However, he couldn't fight inside the Qingyang Demonic Sect, or he would have no chance of winning.

He decided it would be better to make his move when Wu Youdao entered Shengang Peak and became preoccupied with handling the Ancestral Sacred Flame, making it difficult for him to split his attention. This would significantly increase his chances of escape.

Just as Qin Sang was contemplating how and when to act, he suddenly saw a flying boat approaching from outside the Qingyang Demonic Sect. It was the same pod-shaped flying boat from before, and its speed was even faster than when it had left!

"So fast?"

Qin Sang hadn't expected the others to return so quickly. Wu Youdao certainly hadn't entered Shengang Peak yet, but Qin Sang knew he couldn't wait any longer and immediately made his decision.

Qin Sang channeled his true essence, executed his movement technique, and concealed his aura as much as possible, racing towards the mountain gate, every second counting.

In front of the stone monument, six individuals stood, startled by the approaching flying boat in the distance. They gazed out, waiting for their fellow sect members to arrive. Once they did, they would follow Wu Youdao's command to reactivate the grand array and seal off the sect.

*Rumble!*

The flying boat sped through the sky, drawing closer and closer, its sound waves, comparable to thunder, assailing them.

Just then, the elder with the highest cultivation among the six in front of the stone monument seemed to sense something. He suddenly turned his head and looked behind him, then quickly scanned the area beneath the stone platform.

Below the stone platform, the cliff face was extremely treacherous and barren.

It wasn't until the middle of the mountain, where the terrain leveled out, that scattered green pines and cypresses grew, allowing for an unobstructed view.

Everything appeared normal.

The others noticed the elder's unusual behavior and followed his gaze, but saw nothing. Yet, seeing the elder's furrowed brow, they felt surprised and asked repeatedly, "Senior Brother, what are you looking at...?"

The elder scanned the area again, shaking his head with a bewildered expression, and hesitated, "Perhaps it's my illusion. For some reason, just now..."

Before he could finish, a sharp glint suddenly flashed in the elder's eyes. He abruptly threw a punch, sending a fist shadow towards the edge of the stone platform, and roared, "Get out!"

*Whoosh!*

The fist shadow instantly reached the edge of the stone platform, only to be blocked by an inexplicable barrier, holding still in mid-air before silently shattering.

"What is that!"

Only then did the others see a figure with a green face and fangs suddenly appear out of thin air in front of the fist shadow, like a malevolent spirit, startling them.

The monster had crept so close without them noticing its presence in the slightest.

Moreover, this monster had actually emerged from inside the sect!

Qin Sang was also quite surprised; with his level of aura concealment, he shouldn't have been discovered so quickly.

At that moment, he suddenly noticed a strange connection between the elder who had seen through his presence and the stone monument.

A thought flashed through Qin Sang's mind, and he immediately understood: it wasn't that his evasion technique was poor; this person must be the array master, who had used the stone monument to detect him.

This minor hiccup was not enough to shake Qin Sang's resolve.

With his presence exposed, Qin Sang said nothing. He simply stomped hard on the stone platform, his figure like lightning, and swiftly lunged towards the mountain gate.

"Stop him!"

The elder reacted extremely quickly, shouting sharply.

The others hastily summoned their respective magic artifacts.

Among the five individuals' artifacts, three were identical bronze awls. These bronze awls burned with Qingyang Demonic Flames, and the two seemed to be seamlessly integrated, a perfect match.

However, their speed was too slow. Qin Sang reached them in an instant. With a thought, the Ebony Sword shot out even faster, erupting with astonishing sword energy.

"A Dharma Treasure?"

Everyone's faces were filled with terror.

*Crack!*

The Ebony Sword directly severed a flying sword and left a deep sword mark on one of the bronze awls. It looked as if these two artifacts were almost rendered useless.

Its fierce display turned their faces ashen; they dared not engage the Ebony Sword head-on and scattered to dodge.

Their courage had faltered. Qin Sang had achieved his goal and was not aggressive; his priority was to escape. He immediately retracted his sword and sped away.

Unexpectedly, just as he was about to pass the stone monument, it suddenly glowed brightly.

A dazzling pillar of light shot up into the sky, its magnitude clearly audible for a hundred miles around. Then, Qin Sang felt his vision blur, and a thin light screen suddenly appeared in front of him out of thin air.

Qin Sang's heart sank slightly. He shifted his gaze and saw the elder hiding behind the stone monument, forming strange hand seals, staring at him with a grim expression.

"Who exactly are you? What is your purpose in lurking within my sect?"

Qin Sang secretly sneered, ignoring the elder. He grasped the Ebony Sword with one hand and, using all his strength, thrust it fiercely towards the light screen.

If it were the complete grand array, he would, of course, have no chance of breaking through.

But now, it was merely the elder acting in haste; the grand array had not fully activated, so its power was incomparable. Moreover, Qin Sang was trying to break out from the inside, while the stone monument's primary function was to block external invaders.

Immediately afterward, a long roar suddenly came from the inner sect. Qin Sang knew without looking that Wu Youdao had been alerted.

*Crack, crack...*

The light screen was struck by the Ebony Sword, and cracks appeared.

After a few continuous sword strikes, it looked on the verge of collapse.

Just then, a stream of fiery light, swift as a startled swan, came from the inner sect, crossing the outer sect mountains in the blink of an eye. Simultaneously, Wu Youdao's earth-shattering roar, filled with murderous intent, echoed:

"What petty thief! How dare you trespass into my Qingyang Sect!"

Although Qin Sang didn't look back, he could clearly feel Wu Youdao's aura drawing closer and closer, its powerful presence making him feel as if he had thorns in his back.

Qin Sang felt incredibly tense, activating his corpse core at all costs, his sword-wielding movements becoming even faster.

Finally, the light screen, unable to bear the strain, shattered with a *boom*.

Qin Sang successfully broke through the light screen's blockade. A wave of relief washed over him. Without hesitation, he immediately mounted his sword and prepared to make a swift escape.

Unexpectedly, just then, Qin Sang suddenly felt a fierce gust of wind coming from behind him.

Within the gust of wind, there was a keen sharpness, even surpassing that of the Ebony Sword.

"Get back here!"

Wu Youdao roared.

Qin Sang dared not be careless. His figure flickered, moving several feet sideways at the last moment. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a streak of Qingyang Demonic Flame brush past him.

Within the demonic flame, an identical bronze awl was encased.

However, Wu Youdao's bronze awl was a low-grade Dharma Treasure, its surface entwined with rings of golden light. As it spun and moved, the bronze awl's body formed a strange vortex that seemed capable of drawing in one's mind, and its speed was exceptionally swift.

After a quick glance, Qin Sang ignored the bronze awl and continued to flee!

He had now left the Qingyang Demonic Sect, so he didn't need to worry about his retreat being cut off. But he still needed to retrieve the treasures he had left outside before he could confidently contend with Wu Youdao and look for an opportune moment to make his final escape.
