Chapter 446: Care and Attention

"Shadowless Sword is Senior Qin?"

The couple, Le Rou and her husband, exchanged glances, their faces filled with surprise. They had only recently arrived in the Chaotic Isles, but had learned from friends that several prominent figures, both from the righteous and demonic sects, as well as rogue cultivators, had distinguished themselves on the battlefield. Among them, Shadowless Sword was a rare master whose cultivation had not yet reached the False Core realm, yet his reputation was second to none.

He was said to possess profound swordsmanship, with a sword aura like thunder and an invisible sword shadow, earning him the reputation. Countless cultivators had died by his blade, striking fear into the hearts of Heavenly Passage Alliance cultivators. They never expected such a renowned figure to have a significant connection with them.

The cultivator surnamed Du acknowledged with a hum. "I once saw Shadowless Sword fighting against a Heavenly Passage Alliance expert from a distance. He wielded a shimmering flying sword, forcing his opponent to scramble. His swordsmanship was indeed mystical, but not as formidable as the legends suggested.

"However, there must be a reason for his immense fame. It's said that the true source of Shadowless Sword's renown is another flying sword, one that is extremely mysterious. Legends claim that this sword always draws blood. Some suspect it's an evil artifact, while others say it can summon thunder and is a sacred weapon. Since he hails from Shaohua Mountain, no one dares to delve deeper into these matters or risk offending Shaohua Mountain.

"Given that you know Shadowless Sword, your previous concerns are completely unfounded. You two are quite powerful. If you can cultivate a good relationship with him, it would be best if he took you under his wing and accepted you into his team. At the very least, you could ask him for an introduction to join another Shaohua Mountain expert's team..."

Regardless of what Le Rou and the other two discussed about him behind his back, Qin Sang activated his escape light and sped northeast without looking back. When Stargazing Island appeared in his view, Qin Sang's figure flickered, landing on a large island northwest of Stargazing Island.

The architectural layout of this island was distinctly different from other islands. Its streets were arranged in a neat grid, nine vertical and nine horizontal, with buildings in perfect order. Many cultivators traversed the streets, and various banners hung outside the buildings, indicating shops. In the very center of the island, there was also a small auction house, which, though unassuming in appearance, had no shortage of visitors.

In the Little Cold Domain, most Foundation Establishment cultivators, including rogue cultivators, had been summoned to the Chaotic Isles, with the exception of those guarding Seven Heroes Pass or those with exemptions from conscription. With so many experts gathered in the small Chaotic Isles, covetable treasures frequently appeared.

However, the most popular island was the northernmost one in the Chaotic Isles, which had a customary name: Misty Isle.

As Qin Sang landed on the large island, he felt something, and lifted his head to gaze north. From the large island, one could see the edge of the northern Misty Sea, where Misty Isle was hidden.

It was said that Misty Isle's establishment was strongly advocated by a Nascent Soul stage senior among the rogue cultivators, and it received unanimous support from all immortal cultivators, including those from both the righteous and demonic sects. Regardless of who they were or their identity, anyone could enter Misty Isle from any location within the Misty Sea by using a token. On Misty Isle, everyone could conceal their true identity and appearance to conduct transactions. After a transaction was completed, leaving Misty Isle would result in being randomly teleported to another location by a grand formation.

For this very reason, cultivators entered and exited Misty Isle in an endless stream every day, far outnumbering those on the large island. However, while Misty Isle had its advantages, so did the large island.

Qin Sang withdrew his gaze and walked down a street, eventually arriving in front of a luxuriously decorated shop. Although it didn't display the name of Heavenly Goblet Pavilion, it was, in fact, an establishment of Heavenly Goblet Pavilion.

"Fellow Daoist Qin, you've finally arrived! Please, come in quickly!" Although this wasn't the Heavenly Goblet Pavilion in Qingyang Market, the shop manager was already well acquainted with Qin Sang. He enthusiastically strode out to greet him, then led Qin Sang into a private room and personally served him tea.

Qin Sang smiled faintly and said, "There's no need for tea. I just hope the news you mentioned earlier is true, and that there are no unforeseen circumstances that would cause me to leave disappointed."

"Fellow Daoist Qin, what are you saying? When have I ever deceived you with false words?" The manager feigned a chiding tone, waved his hand to close the private room's restrictions, then took out a jade box and presented it to Qin Sang. "Fellow Daoist, please see, is this Spirit Guiding Grass?"

Qin Sang's expression shifted slightly as he lowered his head to examine it closely. Inside the jade box was indeed a complete Spirit Guiding Grass, remarkably similar to the three he had purchased at the Yinshan Pass auction, indicating its age and medicinal properties were certainly sufficient. He was extremely familiar with Spirit Guiding Grass; even without opening the jade box, he confirmed it was genuine, and a satisfied expression appeared on his face.

Spirit Guiding Grass was crucial for refining living corpses. Firstly, it was a rare spirit medicine that could directly aid cultivation, making it highly significant for demonic and evil cultivators. Secondly, the Heavenly Corpse Talisman had almost stringent requirements for the quality of Spirit Guiding Grass. For the past three years, Qin Sang had searched extensively but hadn't been able to acquire a single stalk that met his requirements. Fortunately, he had not hesitated to use thousand-year spirit medicines to purchase three stalks at the Yinshan Pass auction back then, otherwise, the prospect of refining a living corpse would likely have remained a distant dream.

Although Spirit Guiding Grass was precious, it wasn't enough to move Qin Sang. His expression remained calm as he shifted his gaze from the jade box to the manager, asking indifferently, "What price do you intend to sell it for, fellow Daoist?"

The manager had been secretly observing Qin Sang's expression. He discreetly withdrew his gaze, took a sip of tea, and then said, "Fellow Daoist Qin, you surely understand the effects of Spirit Guiding Grass. If my humble shop were to publicly offer this Spirit Guiding Grass on the east side of Stargazing Island, it would undoubtedly trigger a fierce battle."

Qin Sang's face darkened slightly, and he frowned, saying, "Fellow Daoist, are you implying that the items I previously mortgaged with you... are no longer enough to purchase the Spirit Guiding Grass?"

The manager quickly shook his head, explaining repeatedly, "No, no, no... Fellow Daoist, you've misunderstood! I am immensely grateful for your trust in my humble shop. Those artifacts are all of excellent quality, and their combined value is not much less than the Spirit Guiding Grass. I am willing to sell it to you at that price, to foster a good relationship. It's just that..." After a moment of hesitation, the manager dipped his finger in tea and wrote a name on the table. "I only hope that Fellow Daoist Qin, in consideration of my humble request, could look after this junior of mine. His cultivation is decent, and I've prepared several life-preserving artifacts for him, so he certainly won't be a burden."

Qin Sang noted the name on the table, thought for a moment, and then said solemnly, "Given my friendship with Heavenly Goblet Pavilion, if a fellow member of Heavenly Goblet Pavilion encounters difficulties, it would be against reason and sentiment for me to stand idly by."

The manager visibly relaxed, his face full of gratitude. "With your word, Fellow Daoist Qin, I am at ease. I await your good news. Please take this stalk of Spirit Guiding Grass!"

"Then I shall humbly accept." Qin Sang waved his sleeve, put away the jade box, and after exchanging his war spoils for spirit stones, he took his leave. He didn't linger on the large island, instead contemplating how to arrange for the manager's junior as he flew directly towards the Misty Sea.

After entering the Misty Sea, Qin Sang took out a token and cast a unique hand seal upon it. The token emitted a faint light, connecting with the grand formation. Qin Sang felt a tremor in the mist before his eyes, and in the next moment, an island appeared before him.
