Chapter 1414: Terminal Appearance

He traveled amidst radiant glow and blazing flames.

Every so often, an attack would materialize.

The weapons conjured by the spiritual array varied.

They included Zen staves, alms bowls, golden swords, and golden sabers.

Though formidable, these weapons shared a common flaw: Qin Sang could easily evade them with timely dodges.

His journey remained uneventful and safe.

Guided by the Fiery Jade Centipede, Qin Sang pressed forward swiftly.

Throughout this process, Qin Sang remained vigilant, meticulously analyzing the spiritual array with the aid of the Celestial Eye Butterfly.

Having thoroughly studied the scriptures of the Mirage Gate, he possessed some understanding of array formations and restrictions.

Although this was a Buddhist array, certain principles remained consistent.

However, being caught within the array, he could only perceive a fraction of it, lacking knowledge of its complete structure. Unable to devise a way to break it quickly, he could only follow its established paths.

As time wore on, Qin Sang’s understanding of the spiritual array deepened, signaling the moment for him to finally break it.

As he advanced,

Qin Sang marveled even more at the spiritual array's exquisite design.

Aside from the incomprehensible immortal restrictions in places like Ziwei Palace and Seven Killings Hall, this spiritual array was the most complex and grand he had ever encountered. The mastery of array formations displayed by its creator was beyond imagination.

He had been flying continuously for several hours, yet there was still no end in sight.

Coupled with the time spent in the first layer of the spiritual array,

more than half a day had now passed since they entered the Pure Sea Sect.

The spiritual array's actual coverage could not possibly be this vast. It could only mean that the array's creator had ingeniously employed techniques to create a grand illusion within a confined space, trapping trespassers within a small corner of the world.

It was perplexing why such a powerful Buddhist master had remained obscure.

Along the way, there was no sign of Valley Master Mu, Old Man Hunmo, or the others.

Qin Sang stopped dwelling on it.

Just then, Qin Sang noticed the attacks increasing in frequency.

He sharpened his focus, his speed accelerating rather than diminishing.

*Swoosh! Swoosh!*

He hadn't flown much further when Qin Sang abruptly halted, his pupils contracting.

Before him, a single Buddha statue blocked his path.

Unlike the Wall of a Thousand Buddhas, this was a single, colossal Buddha, towering imposingly, with twenty-four heads and eighteen arms, each clutching Buddhist treasures such as golden swords, parasols, Zen staves, lotus flowers, and alms bowls.

The attacks Qin Sang had faced all along had originated from this very statue.

The Buddha statue itself hadn't escaped the contamination, its form a mottled blend of red and gold from the blazing flames.

The weapons held by its eighteen hands, solidified from the spiritual array’s power and shimmering golden light, gradually materialized before Qin Sang, launching an assault once fully formed.

As Qin Sang drew closer,

the Buddha statue’s eyes blazed with fierce, Vajra-like fury.

Qin Sang's heart clenched, and he swiftly sidestepped.

*Swoosh! Swoosh!*

Two weapons detached from the Buddha's hands and flew at him in unison. Fortunately, Qin Sang’s quick reflexes saved him from potential injury.

The attacks grew more frequent and ferocious with each passing moment.

Qin Sang responded calmly, his gaze fixed on the statue. Suddenly, his eyes lit up. He flicked his sleeve, summoning the demon banner, and with his phoenix wings furiously beating, he transformed into a streak of azure light, streaking like lightning towards the Buddha statue.

*Boom!*

The fiery dragon struck the Buddha statue directly between its brows.

*Clang!*

With a deafening clang, the Buddha statue's movements abruptly froze, then it began to crumble from its brow.

In the blink of an eye, the entire statue crumbled, revealing a swirling vortex of crimson and gold.

Qin Sang plunged into it without hesitation, just before the blazing flames could erupt.

*Pfft!*

With his passage, the scenery transformed once more.

Qin Sang surveyed the entirely different surroundings, realizing he had entered the third transformative layer. He tiredly rubbed his brow. "At this rate, I don't know how many more days it will take to find a flaw in the spiritual array. If I linger any longer, more Nascent Souls will be drawn here, and the situation will become increasingly chaotic."

Qin Sang sighed inwardly. After a brief period of adjustment, he summoned the Fiery Jade Centipede, pinpointed his direction, and resumed his journey.

And so it continued.

Time slowly flowed by.

Qin Sang navigated the spiritual array, encountering a diverse range of Buddhist techniques. He gained a deeper understanding of Buddhism, though he wondered if this ordeal was a blessing in disguise.

Unbeknownst to him, Qin Sang had now spent almost five days within the array.

During these days,

Qin Sang had been exhausted by the array’s myriad changes, constantly on the move, yet he had rarely encountered true danger.

Were it not for the pressure from Old Man Hunmo and the others, the four of them could have calmly dismantled the array, albeit taking more time.

Within the spiritual array, there was no distinction between day and night.

At this moment,

Qin Sang found himself on a path paved with golden bricks.

This golden road was suspended in the void, its destination unknown.

He sat down cross-legged, entering a state of meditation.

The Nascent Soul Talisman Puppet stood guard beside him, ready to counter any sudden attacks.

Qin Sang had just consumed some elixirs and was in the process of refining them.

After an indeterminate amount of time, Qin Sang suddenly opened his eyes, invigorated and with his aura fully restored. A confident gleam flashed in his gaze.

After five days of persistent exploration, Qin Sang had finally deciphered most of the spiritual array's underlying principles, enough to break it.

Moreover, he was now very close to the spiritual array's core.

Glancing down at the golden brick road, Qin Sang rose to his feet. After flying forward for a short distance, he abruptly halted, having located a node in the spiritual array. He then employed his familiar tactic, unleashing the Nine Nether Demonic Fire.

The demonic fire hovered before him.

Without pausing, Qin Sang retrieved a set of array artifacts from his Thousand Jun Ring.

He had forged these artifacts before leaving the Mirage Gate. Though their power was modest, they served well as auxiliary tools.

Qin Sang rapidly shifted his hand seals, deploying the array artifacts around him. He paused momentarily, looking down at the golden bricks, then slammed his hands downward.

*Crack!*

The array artifacts vibrated, and profound yellow light condensed, forming a stone spear that plunged downward with force.

*Boom!*

Golden light erupted outwards.

The road shattered instantly.

The Nine Nether Demonic Fire swiftly followed, surging fiercely downward.

In an instant, a torrent of rich crimson and golden light erupted, and the demon banner churned.

Qin Sang squinted, his vision consumed by chaos. He felt the spiritual array's energy around him devolve into extreme turbulence, powerful fluctuations surging from all directions as the array began its counterattack.

His expression remained unperturbed as he suddenly plummeted downwards.

He descended into a space of purplish-red.

Fiery streams swirled everywhere.

These fiery streams were purple, a clear indication of the extreme concentration of the blazing flame's aura.

Streaks of purple flame swam through the void like celestial dragons, emitting terrifying fluctuations. The higher he looked, the denser these fiery streams became, completely obscuring the sky.

Below lay a barren landscape.

The area was not vast, perhaps even smaller than Hundred Flowers Valley, with only two mountain ranges intersecting and converging at a central, highest peak.

Traces of rivers could be seen in the mountains, but they had all long since dried up.

From the summit of the highest peak, a pillar of fire erupted, continuously spewing forth blazing flame energy that then merged with and intensified the purple streams of light.

Across this land, scattered specks of golden light were visible.

Golden rooftops crowned the mountain peaks.

Buddhist pagodas shimmered with golden splendor.

Qin Sang had finally emerged from the spiritual array. Carefully dodging the swirling fiery streams, he leaned forward, gazing at the peculiar landscape below.

"Is this the Pure Sea Sect?"

Qin Sang murmured to himself.

He scanned his surroundings; no one was in sight. The Pure Sea Sect was enveloped in a deathly silence, its Buddhist disciples having long since vanished.

Furthermore, he saw no trace of Old Man Hunmo, Valley Master Mu, or the others.

It appeared he was the first to arrive here.
