Chapter 1183: Inducement

A deafening roar reverberated through the mountains and fields.

The protective barrier flickered, alternating between bright and dim. Cracks and fractures appeared in some areas, causing casualties among nearby cultivators. Some coughed blood and retreated, but new squads immediately stepped in to fully repair the barrier.

The battle formation held firm.

The first wave of attacks from the cultivators of both realms failed to breach the Sin Abyss's defenses.

Not to be outdone, the Sin Abyss charged forward during the lull, launching a fierce counterattack.

After several successive clashes, the distance between the two sides rapidly closed, and their protective barriers began to waver precariously.

Inside the cold mist.

A portion of the cultivators simultaneously manifested a shield-like magical artifact. The shields were wide at the top and narrow at the bottom, and once activated, they glowed brightly, projecting illusions countless times larger than their actual forms.

These illusions flew into the air, overlapping and merging to form a sharp-edged light shield, positioned above their respective squads.

Having lacked resources for many years and facing threats from two fronts, the Skyfaring Alliance, through countless generations of research, had refined these artifacts of identical design.

They proved highly effective on the battlefield.

Following their adoption by the united army of both realms, they quickly became widespread.

In addition to the shields, another portion of the squads' cultivators wielded standardized profound iron heavy swords and heavy sabers.

The moment the light shields formed, flashes of saber and sword energy surged from the battle formation, incredibly orderly, in rows and columns, gleaming with cold light, overwhelming the enemy like a surging tide.

In contrast, the Sin Abyss side appeared more eerie.

Some squads formed circles, shaking black bells in their hands, muttering incantations as if performing some strange magic.

Soon, masses of black aura condensed above the center of these squads.

Under everyone's gaze, this black aura twisted and deformed, resembling viscous sewage, taking on various grotesque and nauseating shapes.

Upon contact with the black light emitted by the Nether Crystal Tower, they seemed to come alive, extending tentacles, and finally developing torsos and limbs.

The black aura transformed into various shapes, including birds, beasts, and even humanoid figures.

However, their forms were unstable, with sewage-like fluid still flowing over their surfaces.

They emitted strange, sharp, and piercing shrieks.

At this moment, Qin Sang and Jing Lin quietly left the Cold Bell Formation, slowly approaching the Nether Crystal Tower.

Qin Sang clearly saw that Old Demon Pei, who was operating the Nether Crystal Towers, was not in the center of the three towers, but hidden beside one of them.

Old Demon Pei believed himself invulnerable under the Nether Crystal Towers' protection, but Qin Sang had observed his every move.

Qin Sang wondered about the origin of these things.

Jing Lin explained that to his knowledge, these were a type of mimetic spell, cast in conjunction with the peculiar bells they held, though the core of their power lay with the Nether Crystal Towers. He added that these monsters were relatively difficult to kill, but not immortal.

Qin Sang stared at the nearest monster but couldn't discern its nature.

At that moment, Old Demon Tan saw the approaching flashes of saber and sword energy, snorted coldly, and issued an order.

A series of roars ensued as these monsters swiftly floated to the front of the battle formation. They faced the incredibly sharp attacks without fear, charging forward relentlessly.

A tearing sound erupted.

The sound of ripping cloth continuously echoed.

The monsters in the front ranks were torn apart, their severed limbs flying, but they were not dead. Their fragmented bodies continued to retaliate, tearing and entangling the saber and sword energy.

Rows of monsters were shredded, but the saber and sword energy were also rapidly depleting.

Both sides clearly understood each other's tactics. Before the monsters and the saber/sword energy could determine a victor, they launched their second wave of attacks.

Under Old Demon Tan's leadership, the Sin Abyss cultivators charged forward incessantly, finally reaching the edge of the cold mist. Without hesitation, he then led his troops into the grand formation!

Suddenly, a fierce gale erupted.

Inside the cold mist, heavy snow began to fall, an endless flurry of snowflakes drifting from the sky, carried by the hurricane towards the Sin Abyss side.

At this point, the light film granted to the Sin Abyss cultivators by the Nether Crystal Towers proved effective; snowflakes silently melted upon contact with them.

Perhaps sensing that this attack was not very effective, the Cold Bell Grand Formation rang out. Its operators changed the formation: the heavy snow became moderate, and the fierce winds formed walls of snow and wind in place, hindering the Sin Abyss's momentum.

The cultivators of the Minor Cold Domain seized the opportunity to launch a full-scale attack.

Witnessing this, Old Demon Pei, who was controlling the Nether Crystal Towers from the rear, snorted coldly. He changed his incantations, and the crystal spheres atop the Nether Crystal Towers continuously shot out countless black beams, striking directly at the wind walls and forcibly tearing open passages.

Throughout this process, cultivators from both sides were also engaged in fierce clashes, and the protective barriers on their battle formations were already shattered and crumbling.

Finally.

With a crash!

The Sin Abyss's protective barrier shattered first, causing a sudden surge in casualties, with blood staining the ground.

Old Demon Tan's face showed anger, and he immediately ordered all the monsters to be unleashed. These fearless creatures braved wave after wave of attacks, finally tearing apart the protective barriers above the heads of the cultivators from both realms.

Si Di's expression was grim as he stared intently at Old Demon Tan.

Seeing this, his expression remained completely unmoved.

Positioned within the grand formation, they held a tactical advantage, and their defenses should not have been breached so quickly; it was Si Di's deliberate act.

If the two sides continued to clash with their battle formations, the Nascent Soul cultivators among them would never be able to confront each other directly. He worried that if too much time passed, the Core Formation cultivators operating the Cold Bell Grand Formation would be unable to hold on, creating an opening. The plan to ambush Old Demon Pei would naturally fall through.

Whoosh!

A golden light circled beside Si Di; it was his famous magical artifact, the Golden Mirror.

This artifact was palm-sized, with an unknown polished mirror embedded in its center. Apart from the mirror surface, the entire Golden Mirror was uneven, covered with large and small golden protuberances.

The Golden Mirror spun faster and faster, appearing to the naked eye as streaks of golden light.

At the same time, Old Demon Tan met Si Di's gaze with a sinister grin, showing no weakness.

The fiery rope on his arm vibrated gently, emitting scorching flames that warped the surrounding air under their heat.

The two Nascent Soul masters had long since set their sights on each other!

The Sin Abyss rapidly advanced.

The cultivators in both battle formations were filled with tension, holding their breath, preparing for the upcoming fierce battle.

One hundred zhang!

Fifty zhang!

Ten zhang!

Kill!

In an instant, earth-shattering roars erupted simultaneously.

The two battle formations fiercely collided, plunging the battlefield into instant chaos with shouts of killing echoing to the heavens.

The chaos did not last long.

Both sides, seasoned in battle, gradually stabilized their positions, fighting in squads and entangling with the enemy.

From an overhead view.

Both sides spread out their formations like currents of water, merging and dividing, the entire process filled with bloody combat.

Si Di and Old Demon Tan, each with their own hidden motives, completely disregarded others. They flew directly over the crowds towards each other, their magical artifacts clashing even before they met!

Special thanks to Great Master Nanwang JF for becoming an Alliance Leader.

I still owe a chapter from before.

These past few days, I've been affected by the epidemic. Since my community is mostly elderly residents and few young people, I've been helping out and haven't had time to catch up.

However, the epidemic is almost over, and things are returning to normal soon.
