Chapter 886: Deep Abyss Girl (Part 2)

Yun Che had no idea where he was going or what lay ahead. All he could do was fly with all his might, knowing that if he stopped, death would quickly approach.

The oppressive force behind him grew more terrifying, and the sounds drew closer. Just then, a sharp shriek echoed from above, directly overshadowing the dark monster that had been pursuing him earlier. An even more dreadful and imminent sense of danger descended from the sky, approaching with astonishing speed.

"What was that? Such terrifying speed!"

Yun Che was utterly horrified, as this dark creature approaching from the air was at least two or three times faster than the previous monster.

If Jasmine were here, she would instantly recognize it as the ancient demonic beast, the Calamity Raven! She herself had been attacked by a Calamity Raven upon arriving in this place.

Such speed was, without a doubt, a terrifying nightmare for Yun Che.

The initially considerable distance quickly diminished, closed by the Calamity Raven's terrifying speed in just a few moments.

"Caw!!!"

The shriek behind him suddenly became incredibly piercing, causing Yun Che's entire body to jolt. Based on the sound, the dark monster pursuing him from the air was now barely ten li away!

As this shriek echoed, the dangerous aura behind him instantly transformed into a deathly chill that enveloped Yun Che.

The Calamity Raven, now less than fifteen li away, folded its wings and then swept them downwards with immense force. Instantly, a dark gale arose, swirling forward with an earth-shattering howl. Wherever the dark storm passed, the dark space—which even the Primordial Profound Ark could not traverse—was immediately churned into distorted vortices.

The moment the dark storm struck, Yun Che felt as if he had instantly plunged into an abyss of death. He knew with absolute certainty that if he were caught in this dark storm, even a slight touch would instantly pulverize him into dark dust.

Yun Che's gaze was grim as he desperately pushed his speed to the absolute limit. Although he was already moving with incredible swiftness, the death storm behind him continued to draw nearer.

"No... at this speed, death is inevitable!"

*Hiss!*

Yun Che gritted his teeth, a fierce light flashing in his eyes. With a low roar, he forcibly activated the Heavenly Fury Gate.

*Boom!*

A storm of profound energy violently erupted from Yun Che's body, his profound energy instantly turning crimson. With his profound energy surging several times over, his speed dramatically increased, allowing him to pierce wildly through the darkness.

The death storm impacted the ground behind Yun Che, pulverizing the dark earth—which was countless times tougher than profound steel—into countless fragments. In an instant, the space itself became riddled with holes.

After the incredibly destructive power erupted, its aftermath spread outwards for tens of li.

Yun Che, who had just forcibly activated the Heavenly Fury Gate to escape certain death, had no time to catch his breath before an extremely dangerous aura surged behind him. His pupils sharply constricted, and without time to look back, he instinctively activated the Evil God Barrier.

*Bang!*

Yun Che's back was struck by the residual force of the death storm.

It was merely scattered residual power, whose might was "weak" compared to the storm's core. Yet, even this "weak" aftermath was still an incredibly devastating disaster for Yun Che.

With a loud boom, his Evil God Barrier instantly shattered, and he was sent flying horizontally at a speed even greater than his maximum. He traveled seventeen or eighteen li before crashing heavily to the ground.

"Cough... cough cough... cough..."

Yun Che propped himself up with his arms, painfully struggling to sit upright, and spat out over a dozen mouthfuls of crimson blood.

After fully obtaining Feng Xue'er's Phoenix Origin Yin, his strength had surged, reaching the peak of the current era. Aside from Xuan Yuan Wentian, the Little Demon Empress, and Feng Xue'er, no one else was his match.

Yet in this terrible dark abyss, he was like a naive child who had stumbled into a demon's territory, so fragile he could die with a mere touch.

Merely the distant residual power had nearly taken most of his life, even after he had activated the Evil God Barrier.

Yun Che had no time to ponder what kind of hellish place this was. He got to his feet, stumbling forward. Forcibly activating the Heavenly Fury Gate had already caused significant internal damage, and he hadn't even recovered his breath before sustaining such terrible new injuries. But he had to stand up, because to stop meant death.

"Cough... cough cough..."

Yun Che pressed his palm against his chest. The intense pain from his internal organs told him that most of them were ruptured. His steps became exceptionally difficult; if there were light, one would see a long trail of blood where he had walked.

*I... cannot die yet...*

His steps were heavy, and his injuries were so severe that he couldn't gather enough energy to fly. Even his consciousness began to blur. After moving forward a few dozen steps, he finally noticed something unusual and slowly turned around.

The terrifying beast roars and earth-shattering footsteps from behind had all vanished.

The dangerous aura that had constantly enveloped him also vanished without a trace.

"What's going on?"

"Has my consciousness blurred to this extent?"

This, of course, was not Yun Che's imagination. Tens of li away, the profound beasts that had been chasing him had all stopped. Even their roars had ceased, and they dared not take another half-step forward.

It was as if the area ahead was an absolute forbidden zone they dared not enter.

Yun Che didn't know what had happened behind him. He continued forward in the darkness for an unknown duration until, just as his body was about to collapse, he suddenly leaned against a hard wall.

After fleeing for a long time in this unknown, empty world, he finally touched something solid besides the ground.

Yun Che, having found something to lean on, immediately slumped against the wall, gasping for breath. By this point, he was certain that the sudden cessation of the profound beasts' pursuit was not due to his blurred perception.

Without time to explore the reason, Yun Che calmed his qi and blood slightly, intending to sit down and begin healing. At that moment, out of the corner of his eye, he suddenly caught a glimpse of purple light.

Yun Che's heart jolted. He quickly turned his head, fixing his gaze intensely forward. It was not an illusion; there was indeed a faint purple glow somewhere far ahead.

This light was very faint, yet in a world of endless darkness, its presence was undeniably extraordinary.

"Light...!"

Yun Che abandoned his attempt to heal. Leaning on the wall, he dragged his heavily injured body and heavy steps, struggling towards the purple light. He was not driven by curiosity; in this incredibly terrifying world of darkness, a glimmer of light was, without a doubt, a blinding beacon of hope!

As he walked, the purple light grew closer and brighter in his vision. Gradually, Yun Che felt a strange sense of familiarity emanating from it.

"This purple light... I must have seen it before!"

"What could it be?"

Yun Che gasped for breath, trying to quicken his pace. After walking much further, the purple light seemed very close, and the wall he had been leaning on suddenly bent inwards.

He rounded the corner of the wall and then froze on the spot.

What appeared before him was a world saturated with eerie purple light.

Countless strange flowers swayed in the purple light. Upon deep purple stems and leaves, demonic blossoms bloomed proudly, each petal like shimmering purple jade, radiating bright purple light and subtly wafting pale purple mist, as if from the underworld.

All the purple light in this space originated from these demonic purple flowers.

In this incredibly terrifying dark world, Yun Che's flames could illuminate a distance of less than ten zhang. Yet these demonic flowers, though clearly far away, were perfectly visible as if close at hand, and the light they emitted was not at all swallowed by the darkness.

Yun Che stood there, stunned, as if petrified.

These purple demonic flowers were clearly Underworld Netherworld Flowers!

Years ago, he and Jasmine had spent seven full years just to find a trace of the Underworld Netherworld Flowers in the Moon-Slaying Demon Abyss. Jasmine had even stated that it should have been the only one of its kind on this plane.

And now, right before his eyes, thousands upon thousands of Underworld Netherworld Flowers bloomed, forming a vast sea of netherworld blossoms.

It was as if he had suddenly stepped from a black world of death into a purple netherworld space.

The Underworld Netherworld Flowers were not only incomparably enchanting, but their most unique and terrifying aspect was... soul absorption!

Although Yun Che was still quite far from this sea of flowers, he was immersed in the purple light of tens of thousands of Underworld Netherworld Flowers. Coupled with his extremely severe injuries, his vision, fixed on the netherworld flower sea, soon blurred, and his pupils rapidly dilated without his awareness.

Yun Che quickly became alert, but it was too late. He wanted to retreat, but he could barely feel his body's existence anymore; his vision and consciousness were blurring at an extremely fast rate.

Back in the Moon-Slaying Demon Abyss, Yun Che had personally experienced the terror of the Underworld Netherworld Flowers and clearly understood that having one's soul absorbed by them was tantamount to complete death.

He fiercely bit the tip of his tongue, and his consciousness regained a bit of clarity, but his uncontrollable body quickly slumped to the ground.

"No... I must not pass out."

Yun Che gritted his teeth tightly, but his injuries were too severe, making his struggle appear particularly futile. In his blurring vision, he suddenly saw a silver figure slowly emerge within the purple sea of flowers.

"Ah..." Yun Che's entire body had slumped to the ground. He desperately widened his eyes, looking at the silver shadow...

It appeared to be a human figure, very petite, as small as Hong'er. The silver he perceived was the radiance emanating from her long hair, while her body was covered in a layer of glowing white light.

She slowly floated closer, her feet not touching the ground, but her long silver hair trailed behind her.

His consciousness grew increasingly blurred, and his hazy vision could only distinguish outlines and colors. Yun Che's eyes repeatedly closed, only to be forced open again each time. With each brief return of clarity, he found the figure from the flower sea a little closer.

The last time he struggled to open his eyes, he saw a pair of incredibly beautiful eyes, now just inches away.

A pair of eyes... that seemed to emit a kaleidoscope of colors.

"Who... are... you............"

Yun Che uttered a voice as faint as a mosquito's hum, and everything before him turned white, then transformed into darkness, as his consciousness completely subsided.
