Chapter 2020: Creation God Name

The barren land was desolate and silent as a realm of ghosts; not even the ominous cawing of a crow could be heard.

Yun Che, suffering from the backlash of Divine Ashes, lay there motionless. No one knew how long he had been unconscious.

Everyone in the Abyss knew that falling unconscious in or near the Mist Sea was an extremely dangerous act. An unprotected body would be devoured by the ubiquitous Abyssal Dust, silently dragging them into the Abyssal Death.

However, the drifting Abyssal Dust not only did not settle on Yun Che but, as it approached, displayed a subtle yet definite tendency to move away.

As a pure force of destruction, devoid of consciousness, it actually displayed a bizarre... fear... towards Yun Che's body?

At this point, Yun Che's body had only been in contact with the Abyssal Dust for a mere month.

Abyssal Dust remained Abyssal Dust; it would not change. However, its reaction to his body was notably different from when he first entered the Abyss.

It seemed his body was undergoing a subtle transformation through its contact with the Abyssal Dust.

After all, it was the Void Holy Body of the Ancestral God.

At that moment, a sliver of white light suddenly appeared in the dim world.

This white light was not strong, yet it was utterly pure and pristine, carrying an ineffable holiness.

The moment it shone, it instantly peeled the surrounding space away from the rest of the world, as if it were a light that simply should not exist in the Abyssal world.

Within the white light was the figure of a woman, slender as carved jade and ethereal as a dream.

She slowly raised her hand, her slender fingers stirring wisps of sacred white light, which gently settled upon Yun Che's body.

Immediately, the wounds covering Yun Che's body visibly contracted and healed. Even the grime on him purified and vanished at an astonishing pace.

Just then, the "unconscious" Yun Che suddenly opened his eyes. His arm shot out like lightning, grabbing towards the white figure in front of him.

The white figure did not react, allowing his suddenly outstretched hand to touch her fingers. Yet it passed right through, only creating a ripple of pure white light.

A soul body?

Yun Che, who had grasped at empty air, slowly sat up. He gazed intently at the white figure in front of him and asked, "Who are you?"

The figure before him was indistinct in the white light; he could not discern her face. He could only tell it was a woman, her long hair seemingly weaving illusions as it drifted.

The pure white profound energy flowing over him now filled him with unparalleled astonishment. Yun Che possessed the Dragon God Body, the Great Way of the Buddha, and the Miracle of Life, giving him peerless self-healing abilities that surpassed all healing arts in the world. Yet at this moment, the speed at which both his external and internal injuries healed astonished him beyond belief.

It was several times faster than his own self-healing!

He knew instantly that the energy flowing through him was Light Profound Energy.

In his entire life, he had only known three individuals who possessed Light Profound Energy: himself, Shen Xi, and their daughter Yun Xi. The strongest among them was undoubtedly Shen Xi.

However, the Light Profound Energy covering him now, in its purity and intensity, surpassed Shen Xi's by more than ten times!

Moreover, the divine power operating within this white light was clearly...

The Miracle of Life!

"Who... am... I..."

She whispered it, but the voice did not come from in front of him; instead, it resonated within Yun Che's soul sea.

This voice was as soft as a spring mist, as ethereal as a celestial melody from beyond the clouds. So beautiful it seemed it could only come from dreams capable of crafting any extravagance, not from the defiled mortal world. "I asked myself 'Who am I?' over and over again. When I awoke, my world was filled with countless blank fragments, many names, many memories, some clear, some blurry. But they were scattered like stars. I could not piece them together, could not wipe away the mist from them, could not know... who I was."

Yun Che was momentarily stunned. The voice in his soul sea seemed to possess a magical ability to draw one into an illusionary dream. More clearly, this voice also carried the power of the Miracle of Life, silently and little by little dispelling the heavy knot of depression in his heart caused by Yun Xi.

"So, who exactly are you?" he asked.

Without a doubt, the figure before him was the "white shadow" the Azure Dragon Emperor spoke of as if it were an illusion, and the "Big Sister White" that Hong'er mentioned.

It had instantly saved the Azure Dragon Emperor, who should have died; it had rapidly awakened Yun Che after his near-fatal battle with Mo Beichen; and it had healed eighty percent of his internal injuries by the time he awoke after falling into the Abyssal Turbulence.

Only now, perceiving it while fully conscious, did he realize how utterly... terrifying... this healing power was.

The white figure spoke slowly: "When I awoke, I was always with you, without a moment's separation. Over these years, I have reconstructed my understanding based on your knowledge. Gradually, my scattered memories have pieced themselves together within this newly acquired understanding, and I have also reclaimed my name."

"Li... Sa."

As the white light flowed, all of Yun Che's external injuries vanished without a trace at that moment.

Yun Che, however, seemed oblivious, gazing blankly for a long time at the ethereal, fairy-like white figure before him, as if he had truly been transported into a fleeting dream.

Because what resonated within his soul was the divine name of a Creation God.

This was a vast mountain range, stretching for tens of thousands of miles. Mountains hundreds of thousands of feet tall pierced directly into the sky, like colossal beasts looking down upon the world.

Surrounded by mountains was a massive barrier that had existed for countless years, isolating it from Abyssal Dust and preventing the entry of any outsiders.

A petite figure wrapped in a grey robe passed through the barrier and flew straight down.

As she landed, a gentle voice called out to her.

"Long Xi, you are back."

The middle-aged man who spoke had fair skin and a refined yet imposing appearance. But his dragon eyes held a divine glint capable of terrifying all beings in an instant.

He scrutinized Long Xi, then suddenly frowned, "You are injured?"

"Mhm," Yun Xi replied indifferently, walking directly past him.

The middle-aged man was clearly accustomed to this and showed no anger. He turned around and urged her once more, "Long Xi, why must you always push yourself so hard? You already know about the 'Eternal Pure Land.' Fulfilling the Dragon Master's wish and acknowledging him as your father would not only..."

"Get lost!"

One word choked back the middle-aged man's remaining words. He watched Yun Xi walk away, shaking his head with resignation and regret.

Returning to her own mountain domain, she passed through a small barrier. Her steps immediately lightened, and the coldness on her face dissolved in an instant.

She came before a silent tombstone and slowly knelt.

But this quiet had barely begun when it was shattered by a crude voice.

Bang, bang, bang!

The sound of the barrier being repeatedly struck rang out, followed by an impatient roar from a man: "Long Xi, get out here now!"

Yun Xi's closed eyes opened, her face expressionless.

With a flicker, she appeared before the barrier. As an opening appeared in the barrier, the shouting man revealed himself before Yun Xi.

This was a tall, slender man with a sinister look in his eyes. His appearance and name were known to every dragon in this vast mountain range.

For he was the sole heir of the Ancestral Dragon lineage in this generation.

The future Young Dragon Master, destined to lead all dragon races in the Abyss.

Long Wangchu.

Seeing Yun Xi, his eyes visibly narrowed. No matter how many times he saw them, the two exceedingly ugly black marks on her face made him intensely uncomfortable, as if the most flawless jade in the world had been stained with the most hideous blemish.

"Oh! You are back, I almost thought you had run off and died outside."

Facing his furious gaze and mocking words, Yun Xi touched a finger to her chest. As the color drained from her face, leaving a sickly pale hue, a bead of blood condensed on her fingertip, which she then pushed towards Long Wangchu.

"Take it, and get out!"

Having said that, she did not spare him another glance, turning away as the barrier behind her slowly closed.

The tiny blood bead instantly filled Long Wangchu's pupils. He eagerly took it into his hand. But instead of leaving, he suddenly flickered, breaking into the barrier just before it fully closed.

Yun Xi's eyes instantly gleamed with a bone-chilling cold light.

"Long Xi, this time, the vital blood, you were a full nineteen hours late, making me wait for nineteen whole hours." Long Wangchu's tone gradually deepened: "It seems with time, you have become increasingly presumptuous. If there is a next time...!"

"No one is allowed to trespass this barrier, including the Dragon Master," Yun Xi said suddenly, her voice flat. "This is a direct prohibition issued by the Dragon Master himself back then. Have you forgotten?"

"Heh, hahahaha!" Long Wangchu burst into laughter. "So what if I trespassed? What can you do to me? I am actually quite curious, you broken... Ugh!"

Long Wangchu's body was slammed hard against the barrier by a massive, pale dragon claw.

"You..." Long Wangchu's dragon eyes widened. His resisting power had just gathered when it was abruptly suppressed. Then his arms were brutally twisted back by the dragon claw, and with the thunderous sound of shattering bones... they were snapped clean off.

"Uwaaahhh!"

Long Wangchu's shrill screams, like those of a tortured ghost, echoed within the barrier. Yun Xi slowly closed her fingers, controlling the pale dragon claw to bind Long Wangchu's shattered arms together: "Long Wangchu, no matter how arrogant and presumptuous you are in front of me on normal days, I treat it as a clown's antics and disdain to bother with it. But if you dare to step into this place, you touch my reverse scale!"

"You... you!" Long Wangchu's pupils seemed to split, his eyes filled with disbelief.

He was five times Yun Xi's age, yet still considered young among dragons, and his cultivation had already reached Level 8 of the Divine Master Realm. At such an age and cultivation level, he was considered a peerless genius among dragons, with none of his peers or kin surpassing him.

Except for Yun Xi!

And his fierce progress over these years, far surpassing his predecessors at the same age, was all thanks to Yun Xi's vital blood tempering his body.

He was the sole Ancestral Dragon of this generation, the future Dragon Master. Yet no matter how talented Yun Xi was, she was ultimately just an outsider dragon of unknown origin. The highest-grade resources of the dragon race should belong to him, and any sacrifice made by a dragon of the clan for him was considered proper.

He had not expected that this scarred dragoness, who supposedly existed to be sacrificed for him, would dare to attack and injure him.

"You dare... injure... me!" Long Wangchu gnashed out, his gaze sinister and venomous.

"Injure you?" Yun Xi smiled, her smile chilling: "I even dare to kill you, believe it or not?"

"Heh, heheh..." Long Wangchu sneered, his face twisted: "With just..."

Whoosh!!

A sword beam shot out from Yun Xi's wide sleeve, mercilessly piercing Long Wangchu's throat, with the sword tip emerging from the back of his neck.

"Ugh... Ahhh... Ah..." Exploding blood streaks instantly filled Long Wangchu's dragon eyes. The sinister expression and shock completely vanished from his pale face, leaving only extreme fear.

Yun Xi slowly approached, the faint smile on her lips combined with the terrifying black marks on her face, making an unseen terror gnaw at Long Wangchu's frantically trembling body like thousands of demons: "So what if I kill you? At most, it is just a life for a life."

"You are the Young Dragon Master with an unlimited future, but me? I have nothing, no ties, no worries. The thing I fear least is death."

Whoosh!!

The cold sword in Long Wangchu's neck was inserted further, almost completely severing his windpipe.

"Speaking of which, among the dragon race, the ones who least want me dead are not me, but your father, your Dragon Master, and all your elders," Yun Xi spoke slowly, her chilling gaze like that of someone staring at a dying, lowly creature: "Because if I die, you, this trash, will truly be beyond saving. If you are beyond saving, then your Ancestral Dragon lineage will be utterly hopeless."

"Therefore, they have to beg me to stay alive and well. This barrier, which no one is allowed to enter, was also one of the conditions of my deal with the Dragon Master. What a pity, you utterly disappointing piece of trash, to dare to violate my taboo. In that case... I might as well just slaughter you. Perhaps if you die, the Dragon Master might not even be willing to kill me."

The chilling murderous intent, thick as a substance, pierced every frantic trembling nerve in his body.

"Wait... wait..." Long Wangchu's pupils seemed to crack, his fractured windpipe struggling to emit hoarse words. His long legs trembled uncontrollably, "Spare... me..."

Because this was not a threat or intimidation, but the real, imminent fear of death.

"Hm?" Yun Xi narrowed her eyes. "What did you say? I did not hear you clearly."

"Spare me... spare me..." He heard a glimmer of hope and desperately squeezed out the words: "I... made a big mistake... Ugh... Spare me..."

"Then, in the future, will you still come near here?" Yun Xi asked, looking down at him.

Long Wangchu's eyes showed pleading: "No... I would not dare... never again..."

"Very good." Yun Xi's eyebrows seemed to relax slightly: "I hope that after today, you will understand one thing... you can provoke anyone you want, but never, ever provoke a madman who has nothing to lose!"

The sharp sword was pulled from Long Wangchu's throat, and the dragon claw suppressing him also vanished. The barrier opened, and an immense force violently threw him out, like discarded trash, and the barrier closed behind him.

"Cough... cough, cough, cough... Ugh... cough, cough..."

Long Wangchu violently coughed up blood foam. He forcibly reset his broken arms with dragon energy, feebly clutching the wound on his throat. His other fractured arm scraped against the ground as he frantically scrambled away from Yun Xi.

Death had never been so close, and fear had never been so bone-chilling. Having grown up in reverence, his dragon courage almost shattered.

"Speaking of which, let me tell you one more thing."

A gap opened in the barrier, and Yun Xi's terrifying voice came through: "The pioneer dispatched by the Pure Land this time has successfully reached the 'Eternal Pure Land.' Do you know what this means?"

"..." Long Wangchu raised his eyes in pain and fear, his face filled with shock.

"With the location of the 'Eternal Pure Land' confirmed, the Abyssal Emperor can lead people there when the passage next opens. Presumably, that pioneering knight named Mo Beichen has already taken full control of the Eternal Pure Land and is awaiting the Abyssal Emperor's arrival. However, the number of people who can enter the passage each time is limited. Guess who will be qualified, and who will be abandoned?"

"The answer could not be clearer... Trash, only has the destiny of being abandoned. Hmm? Judging by your expression, could it be... you still do not know about this?"

"..." Long Wangchu's throat bobbed, and his pupils, which had just constricted, widened again by several degrees.

"Outside the Pure Land, this matter is known to all Six Divine Nations and the Dragon Race. The Dragon Master told me, but not you... What does that imply?"

Long Wangchu froze in place, seeming unwilling to believe, yet also afraid to believe. Only obscure sounds continuously escaped his shattered throat.

"I am very much looking forward to seeing how the Dragon Master reacts when you go to him and complain like a proper piece of trash."

The barrier closed, and everything fell silent.

Yun Xi turned around, completely unconcerned whether Long Wangchu would seek revenge, complain, or swallow his humiliation.

Undisturbed, she knelt again before the tombstone. Her jade-like hand covered her heart, her eyes closed, though her body swayed slightly.

She was injured, had just lost vital blood, and had attacked Long Wangchu. But this pain was insignificant to her, not even enough to make her show a hint of discomfort in this desolate place.

"Mother, I successfully obtained the Qilin Bone Spirit Orchid. Of the Five Spiritual Treasures, I have acquired four; only the last one remains. Then I should be able to... no, I will definitely be able to bring you back."

"Wait for me, just a little longer... Please, you must wait for me... it really will not be long."

She whispered and recounted, as if her mother were quietly listening right in front of her.

"Mother, I have grown up... This sanctuary was exchanged with my vital blood; it was a fair transaction... with no emotional entanglements whatsoever. When you return, you can freely stay or leave, without being constrained by anyone or anything... There will be no more entanglements like in the Dragon God Realm back then... no more incidents like those years ago..."

"Then, I will protect Mother, and Mother will protect me. We can go wherever we want... Okay?"

"Mother, I... I saw him... He did not die like you said he would back then, and he even came to the Abyss..."

"Clearly, I had carved out the word 'father' from my life... But when I saw him, I still could not help but... fiercely vent my emotions... It was such an ugly outburst... too ugly, like a childish brat... Heh, how ridiculous..."

"I know, even after such a catastrophe... Mother must also want to reunite with him... Even if it is just to see him again, please, you must come back... Please... I beg you..."

"Do not... dis... appear..."

"Mother... I only have you... I truly... only have you..."

Her hand rested on the tombstone. The patch of earth in front of it held almost all the tears she had shed in her life.

Long Wangchu's arms were forcibly reset by himself, and the wound on his neck was tightly bound by his upper garment. As he stumbled back to his mountain domain, a majestic yet calm voice sounded: "Wangchu, what happened here?"

Long Wangchu stopped, his eyes flashing with hatred, but it was quickly replaced by struggle. Finally, when he turned around, he had managed to compose a calm expression: "It is nothing, I was injured accidentally during cultivation. Thank you for your concern, Grand Elder."

The Grand Elder's gaze swept over his neck. He frowned slightly but did not press for more, stating calmly: "Mhm, injuries during cultivation are inevitable. It is good that you are alright."

Having said that, just as he was about to leave, Long Wangchu called out to him: "Grand Elder, Wangchu has something to ask. I heard that the Abyssal Knight dispatched by the Pure Land this time successfully reached the 'Eternal Pure Land'?"

The Grand Elder abruptly turned his gaze: "How did you know...? Hmm, it seems the Dragon Master still could not hold back and told you early. So be it."

The corner of Long Wangchu's mouth twitched unnaturally.

"That is right. About a year ago, this pioneering knight successfully reached the 'Eternal Pure Land' and sent back a message before the passage closed. However, due to the existence of the temporal black tide, only about a month should have passed in the 'Eternal Pure Land.'"

"But the power level of the 'Eternal Pure Land' is very low; the Divine Master Realm is already its peak. A month should be more than enough for an Abyssal Knight to take control of the situation."

"Hmph, that Abyssal Knight named Mo Beichen certainly got off easy. As a pioneer, he will likely be etched into history forever."

Long Wangchu's heart trembled. What Yun Xi said was actually true! And the Dragon Master had indeed told Yun Xi first, without telling him.

He secretly took a breath, then tentatively asked: "Then... if the passage opens again, how many people can pass through at once?"

The Grand Elder gave him a profound look and said: "Only the Abyssal Emperor can open the passage, and it can be opened approximately once every fifty years. As for how many can pass through at once, only the Abyssal Emperor knows. But... abandonment is inevitable."

When the Abyss loses its Pure Land, loses its Divine Nations...

That will be a true Abyssal Death.

"Opening the passage also requires the power of the Six Divine Nations and our Dragon Race, so currently, only the Six Divine Nations and our Dragon Race know about this. It must absolutely not be spread externally, including to other dragon clans outside of our Ancestral Dragons." The Grand Elder sternly warned, though he was confident that the Dragon Master had already repeatedly given instructions.

"Wangchu understands, Grand Elder, please rest assured," Long Wangchu quickly nodded in affirmation. As he turned away, he clenched his teeth, his mind in chaos.
