Chapter 1871: Dragon God's Ancient Texts

The various realms of the God Realm were in turmoil, and the northern part of the Eastern Divine Region was the initial site of the catastrophe, with dark smoke lingering everywhere. Only the Snow Song Realm remained eternally serene and frigid.

Mu Xuanyin slowly stepped into the Ice Phoenix Sacred Hall. Nothing had changed, yet it felt like a lifetime ago... because her heart no longer belonged solely to this eternally snow-covered world. The wind and snow grew chaotic, and dancing frost snowflakes vied to drift towards Mu Xuanyin, transforming into light, dancing ice spirits that gracefully swirled around her, unwilling to depart.

Following the most familiar aura in her life, Mu Xuanyin's footsteps gently entered the Ice Phoenix Sacred Hall, a place equally familiar to her... a place that once belonged only to her and Yun Che.

“Ah...”A startled cry rang out. Mu Feixue stood up, staring blankly at the ethereal figure that appeared like a dream at the entrance of the Sacred Hall. Her icy eyes, misty with emotion, whispered like a dream: “Sect... Master...”

In front of the cold pond adorned with ice-feather spiritual flowers, Mu Bingyun turned around as if struck by lightning. The gaze of the two sisters met, instantly shattering all brightness in Mu Bingyun's eyes except for her. Subsequently, even her figure blurred amidst the rapidly spreading mist.

“Sister... Sister...”A soft murmur, her heart pulling her body, she rushed towards Mu Xuanyin, collapsing heavily against her chest and sobbing like a child. Her sorrowful tears froze as they fell, and tiny ice crystals drifted around their tightly embracing figures.

Western Divine Region, Dragon God Realm. Within the Dragon God Domain, the Dragon God Sacred Hall.

This once supreme sacred land of the God Realm no longer held any trace of Dragon Emperors, Dragon Gods, or Dragon Sovereigns. In fact, throughout the entire vast Dragon God Domain, no dragons remained; all had been expelled by the Qilin Realm. The Dragon God Realm's immense accumulation over a million years was concentrated beneath the Dragon God Domain. Countless barriers were being dismantled piece by piece by the Qilin Realm, and such a vast accumulation would take far more than a short time to catalog. Its sheer magnitude was beyond ordinary imagination.

“As expected of the Dragon God Realm. In just a few days, the resources within sight here nearly surpass the combined total of my Northern Region’s Three King Realms,” Chi Wuyao said leisurely, picking up a spatial jade bead. “I casually put some inside, and it’s already enough to host more than a dozen unprecedented Emperor Conferment Ceremonies.”

“It seems my previous expectations for the scale were too modest. The gap between my Northern Region and these Three Divine Regions is more than just hell and heaven.”

“Hmph,” Qianye Ying’er retorted with a cold sidelong glance. “You are destined to be the Supreme Empress of this God Realm, ruling over the world. Everything in existence will be at your command. It’s truly uninteresting to say such things now.”

Chi Wuyao said softly and gracefully, “Compared to being Empress, I would rather be a carefree imperial concubine by the Devil Master’s side, able to act spoiled and vie for his favor, even if it were just as a handmaiden.” Her charming eyes tilted slightly. “Qianying, if you fancy it, how about I give you the position of Empress instead?”

“Tch!” Qianye Ying’er turned her jade-like face away, offering no reply.

“Cough, cough.” Yun Che awkwardly cleared his throat and asked, “Devil Empress, what is this ‘interesting’ discovery you mentioned?” Chi Wuyao had been so eager to have Huajin transmit a message to him, indicating that it was no ordinary discovery.

Chi Wuyao extended her hands and lightly waved them. A black light flashed and then dispersed, revealing an ancient tome, half a zhang in length and width, and dark bronze in color. A heavy dragon aura emanated from the tome, but even more striking than its intensity was the ancientness of this aura... so ancient that it felt as though it shouldn't still exist in the present world.

Qianye Ying’er’s gaze shifted. “Could it be... the Dragon God Compendium?”

“No, if it were the Dragon God Compendium, how would I dare trouble my Devil Master so hastily?” Chi Wuyao said slowly. “This ancient text is bound by nine layers of seals, and each seal still bears traces of a soul mark. If Long Bai hadn’t died, I truly wouldn’t have been able to break all these seals in such a short time.”

“What this ancient text records is not the history of the Dragon God Realm... but rather, it is a legacy from the Ancient Dragon God Clan.”

“What?!” Qianye Ying’er’s face showed shock, and Yun Che’s eyes also twitched. An ancient secret tome? And a legacy of the Ancient Dragon God Clan!?

Chi Wuyao gently pushed the ancient text in front of Yun Che. “I’ve roughly skimmed through it. What’s recorded here is the history of the Ancient Dragon God Clan, along with many secrets that were thought to be completely lost in antiquity.” She glanced at Yun Che. “To others, these secrets are merely curiosities, but for the Devil Master, they might offer some unique assistance. The Devil Master might want to take his time reading through it.”

Soon, a barrier was set up. Together, Yun Che and Qianye Ying’er, using the gentlest profound energy possible, slowly opened the Dragon God ancient text, which had miraculously survived until now. The first page of the ancient text contained the clan precepts of the Dragon God Clan, and the second page listed the names of successive Dragon Gods and the divine names of core dragons.

Although named the “Dragon God Clan,” there was only one “Dragon God” in each long era of the Dragon God Clan. Among the vast Divine Race, the title “Dragon God” was a transcendent divine name, subordinate only to the Four Creation Gods but superior to all other myriad deities. The ancient “Dragon God Clan” referred to the dragon race directly commanded by the Dragon God. It was a clan name derived from the divine name “Dragon God,” rather than the divine name being derived from the clan name. Therefore, the so-called “Dragon Gods” established by the current Dragon God Realm were not a reverence for the divine name “Dragon God,” but rather an extreme blasphemy.

Dragon Gods possessed extremely long lifespans; though not comparable to Creation Gods, they far surpassed all other beings. Thus, throughout the vast and prolonged ancient era, the Dragon God Clan’s history saw only six generations of Dragon Gods. Yun Che’s attention was drawn to the last Dragon God mentioned, the Primeval Azure Dragon, who had bestowed upon him great favor. His name was Long Yin.

Accompanying the Dragon God’s long life was an equally challenging succession. It was recorded: from becoming the Dragon God until his eventual demise in the War of Gods and Devils, the Primeval Azure Dragon lived for a full thirty million years, yet he fathered only one daughter. When Yun Che obtained the Dragon God’s blood, soul, and marrow on the Azure Cloud Continent, the Primeval Azure Dragon’s lingering soul’s final entrustment was to find his daughter, who had been sealed within the “Heaven Punishing Ancestral Sword.” This intensely powerful attachment and obsession had made him stubbornly persist until the present world, finally dissipating only after entrusting it to the Evil God’s successor... So, this mighty Dragon God had only one daughter throughout his entire life!

As he marveled, Yun Che’s eyebrow suddenly twitched. A daughter only after thirty million years... Wait! He had accumulated many beautiful confidantes over the years and had engaged in countless acts of 'cultivation,' yet he only had one daughter, Wuxin... Although he appeared indifferent to this on the surface, he had always felt a deep-seated concern about it. Could it be that the reason for all this was the overly pure Dragon God bloodline within him!?

However, the ancient text did not record the true name of the last Dragon God’s daughter, referring to her only as “Princess.” It mentioned her gentle and elegant demeanor, her heavenly beauty, and how she was admired by the Life Creation God Li Sa, often visiting the Life God Palace to accompany the Life Creation God.

“...” This brief passage about the Dragon God Princess caused Yun Che’s gaze to linger for a very long time. Then, he turned to the third page of the Dragon God ancient text.

This page, however, did not record the history of the Dragon Gods, but rather... The Four Creation Gods.

**Heaven Punishing God Emperor: Mo E**Supreme Treasure: Heaven Punishing Ancestral Sword

The foremost among the Four Creation Gods, his divine power was unrivaled in the world, surpassing all other Creation Gods and Devil Emperors. He had also gained the recognition of the Heaven Punishing Ancestral Sword, allowing him to unleash its ancestral sword might. He was extremely rigid in character, hated evil as if it were a personal enemy, and allowed no personal feelings or flexibility when it came to principles. He also vehemently rejected dark profound energy and tolerated no close contact with the Devil Race.

The “Heaven Punishing Crown Prince” Mo Su possessed extraordinary divine grace, unparalleled by any other divine son in the world. The Heaven Punishing God Emperor loved him deeply. Yet, because Mo Su violated an unforgivable taboo, he was personally buried in the Abyss of Nothingness by the God Emperor himself. His righteousness, strictness, and decisiveness shook all the heavens, and the world praised and submitted to him.

“...” Yun Che frowned deeply. The tragedy of the Heaven Smiting Devil Emperor and the tragedy of the Evil God were both wrought by Mo E. Even the later catastrophic War of Gods and Devils that devastated an era had its fuse laid by him. Yun Che had long known of Mo E’s extreme rigidity and hatred for evil, but he hadn’t expected him to be so unyielding and inflexible that he would personally bury his own son for committing a taboo... and his most beloved son, whom he had personally named Crown Prince! If he could be this way towards his own biological son, whom he had chosen as his successor, then his ruthlessness towards Jie Yuan, Ni Xuan, and Ni Jie seemed almost too normal by comparison.

To seize the ancestral fragment from the Heaven Smiting Devil Emperor, the Heaven Punishing God Emperor lured her to the eastern border of the Primal Chaos. He then used the ancestral sword might to cleave open the Wall of Primal Chaos, and the unparalleled sword power banished the Heaven Smiting Devil Emperor and the Heaven Smiting Devil Clan she led to the Outer Chaos... From then on, only three of the Four Devil Emperors remained, the Devil Race was severely shaken, and the world was unsettled.

The Heaven Punishing God Emperor engaged in a fierce battle with the Elemental Creation God, the reason for which remained unknown... It was also after this battle that the Elemental Creation God abandoned his Creation God title, renamed himself “Evil God,” and lived in seclusion thereafter. After this battle, the Heaven Punishing God Emperor also remained in seclusion for a long time. The Dragon God visited but was turned away from his divine palace. Later, when the Princess returned to her clan, she heard the Life Creation God sigh, mentioning that the Heaven Punishing God Emperor’s vital energy had drastically declined, and his remaining lifespan was perhaps only a mere million years. It was suspected that he had once again utilized the ancestral sword might during his battle with the Elemental Creation God.

Atop his divine palace, the Heaven Punishing God Emperor closed his eyes as he looked up at the sky, passing away at the end of his lifespan. His final divine words were the name “Mo Su.” Yun Che was already largely aware of the subsequent records regarding Mo E, and in fact, his own knowledge was even more accurate and detailed... For instance, Mo E’s meeting with the Heaven Smiting Devil Emperor, where the so-called ancestral fragment was merely a pretense, was actually for the purpose of permanently erasing the taboo between her and the Elemental Creation God.

“This foremost Creation God of ancient times died so early, even before the later War of Gods and Devils,” Qianye Ying’er remarked with a hint of mockery. “Could it be that burying his own son shortened his lifespan?”

Yun Che offered no reply, his gaze continuing downward:

**Law Creation God: Xi Ke**Supreme Treasure: Cosmic Heaven Pearl

The Creation God who established and maintained the Heavenly Way’s laws, and protected the balance of all things in the world. His nature was peaceful yet aloof, seeking justice and peace for all races across the heavens. He abhorred all forms of conflict, preferring to carve out his own space and live in solitude. Although a Creation God, he established no divine palace and had no divine army or guards under his command. “Those born for the order of heaven and earth should not harbor personal desires or affections”—the Law Creation God once said this to the Ancestral Dragon God.

Yun Che twisted his mouth... A Creation God who disallowed himself personal desires or affections—he wouldn't even accept Creation God divine power if it were freely given to him! No wonder the Brahma Heaven God Realm, Star God Realm, and Moon God Realm of the Eastern Divine Region, along with the Brahma God, Star God, and Moon God they inherited from, were all subordinates of Mo E in ancient times. It turns out this dignified Creation God didn’t even have a divine palace or divine guards. Only that Cosmic Heaven Pearl gave rise to the current Cosmic Heaven God Realm... which he then destroyed.

The records concerning the Law Creation God did not mention his death... Evidently, he must have perished after the annihilation of the Dragon God Clan.
