Chapter 1531: The Other Shore Mysterious Sound (Part 1)

Blood-red writing slowly unfurled across her moon-white dress, a sight both tragic and beautiful.

Xia Qingyue lowered her head slightly, taking a silent glance. When her gaze returned, her beautiful eyes remained as cold as ever, devoid of any warmth, whether subtle or profound, that might have once existed between them.

The hatred, expressed in both words and spilled blood, pierced everyone's soul like a poisoned blade.

Despite bearing an incredibly brilliant halo as a savior in the God Realm, he chose to return to the lower realms with the Evil Infant. This clearly demonstrated his profound attachment to his home planet.

Today, knowing it was almost a certain death, he still came with unwavering resolve, further revealing the immense importance of his family to him—more significant than his own life.

Yet, Xia Qingyue, before his very eyes, annihilated everything.

Unlike Yun Che, they could all feel the profound oppression and cruelty of the moment. It was impossible to imagine the depth of Yun Che's hatred for Xia Qingyue at that instant. Yet, no matter how intense that hatred, it was clearly destined to remain unavenged.

The cosmic storm gradually subsided, and what swept in was no longer the dust from a destroyed planet, but chaotic crimson blood and an aura of despair.

These auras stemmed from the bloodlust released by countless annihilated lives, and the sorrowful souls that lingered even after death. Everyone fell into a prolonged silence; even the God Emperors experienced varying degrees of discomfort.

Destroying an entire star represented an immeasurable blood debt—numbering in the trillions.

“Very good,” she said, looking at Yun Che, devoid of sorrow or anger. “This way, it’s a clean break.”

“Yun Che, have you forgotten that back then, we already…”

“Are you going to bring up the destroyed marriage contract again? Let me tell you, tearing up the marriage contract is useless! Our marriage registration is still perfectly preserved in Flowing Cloud City, and our officiant is still alive and well.”

“According to the rules of our Flowing Cloud City, we remain husband and wife unless I divorce you, or you personally visit the Flowing Cloud City household office with witnesses and evidence proving my unworthiness as a husband, and then, after various reviews and a lengthy process, have our marriage registration annulled. Tearing up a marriage contract dissolves our marital bond? Hmph, the new God Emperor of the Moon God Realm is truly naive.”

Just two months prior, on that profound ark carrying only the two of them, Yun Che, with a furrowed brow and pursed lips, had lectured her about the rules of Flowing Cloud City. He had stated that since they were married there, they should adhere to its customs, and even if the marriage contract was torn, as long as he did not divorce her, she would remain his wife.

She had not forgotten, and neither had he.

Yun Che closed his eyes, speaking no more. The world was utterly silent, bleak, and devoid of light. He was a savior, and Jasmine was a savior. Yet, these very people, those who had been saved by him and Jasmine, under the guise of righteous justice to punish the Evil Infant and the devils, had forced Jasmine out of the Chaos Realm and pushed him into a desperate situation.

The one who triggered all of this was the Heaven Smiting God Emperor, whom he trusted and respected most. And the one who cruelly destroyed everything he held dear was Qingyue, the person he had been least wary of, and for whom he had always felt the deepest gratitude and affection.

Heh…

“Yun Che, is this world truly worth such sacrifice from me…?”

“Is this world truly worth such sacrifice from me…?”

“Is it truly worth such sacrifice from me…?”

Jie Yuan’s words echoed chaotically in his mind, and he could no longer recall his own answer from that time.

“Wuji, withdraw.”

“Yes,” replied Yue Wuji, retreating a significant distance. In this space, only Yun Che and Xia Qingyue remained.

The Divine Emperor’s sword, wreathed in intense purple light, slowly descended. In an instant, it could erase his existence. Yet, even such a vibrant purple glow failed to reflect the ashen pallor on Yun Che’s face. From him, no anger or resentment could be felt, only a deathly, desolate gray.

Everyone holds something most precious—whether power, strength, family, wealth, or life itself. But the man beneath the Purple Firmament Divine Sword had lost the most important and cherished aspects of his life… indeed, he had lost everything.

Everything was too ironic, too cruel—enough to shatter even the strongest will. Perhaps, for Yun Che in that moment, death offered the ultimate release. To live… might only mean sinking into eternal darkness.

“Before you die, there is one thing I might as well tell you.”

Xia Qingyue said slowly, “Yesterday, I mentioned something I wanted to tell you, but I said it would require the right moment. However, it seems such a moment will never arrive, so I will tell you directly now.”

She leaned slightly forward, her voice dropping to a whisper that only Yun Che could clearly hear: “Shen Xi… is dead.”

“…” Yun Che’s dull eyes trembled faintly.

“Some time ago, I visited the Dragon God Realm and discovered that the Samsara Forbidden Land had long been destroyed. All the myriad flowers and plants had withered, no one was in sight, and not a trace of spiritual energy remained,” Xia Qingyue recounted slowly, her voice reaching only Yun Che’s ears. “Later, at the center of the Samsara Forbidden Land, I found a pool of blood. Although much time had passed, the blood showed no signs of drying… because it contained a very pure aura of light.”

“Whose blood do you think it was?”

Yun Che was silent.

“You realized very early on that something must have happened to her, yet you never truly worried, believing that given her existence, no one in this world could harm her, and those truly capable of doing so were the least likely to. But… you completely underestimated the depths of human nature!”

“Your experiences are far more complex than those of your peers. During your years in the lower realms, you might have believed you understood human nature. But, it seems you forgot that your life, your experiences, span only a few short decades. They, however, have lived for tens of thousands… even hundreds of thousands of years. Do you truly believe you see them clearly? Do you truly believe you comprehend the laws of survival in the God Realm!?”

“…” Yun Che showed no reaction, not the slightest flicker.

Xia Qingyue spoke no further. A trace of utterly contemptuous death qi emanated from her. “In the hell after death, will you become a wailing specter, or a vengeful devil god? I truly look forward to seeing. Now… die!”

The Purple Firmament Divine Sword finally struck. Last time, at the very last moment, it was obstructed by Qianye Ying’er, whose slave seal remained unbroken. This time, there would be no one to stop it. With this sword’s descent, Yun Che would forever vanish from this world, taking with him the unique imprints he had left upon it and in countless souls.

But…

Yet, in that very last instant, from the quiet, deathly silent space ahead, a cold, ice-blue light suddenly pierced forth from the void, shooting directly towards Xia Qingyue’s throat, accompanied by overwhelming icy cold and killing intent.

This coldness and killing intent, suppressed for too long, erupted with such ferocity that it instantly froze the surrounding ten thousand miles of void.

The thirteen God Emperors from the three divine regions were all present, yet this sudden development caught everyone completely off guard.

Xia Qingyue’s expression drastically changed, and she instantly retreated. Simultaneously, a surge of profound energy enveloped Yun Che, flinging him far backward.

Everyone who had been watching with detached amusement was utterly astonished. Beneath the icy radiance appeared flawless, ice-white swords glowing with blue light, along with the figure of a woman with flowing blue hair, like an ice fairy from a dream.

Astonished gazes instantly converged on her. They had never seen such chilling eyes, so intensely cold they seemed capable of freezing the entire world into a frigid prison.

“Snow Song… Realm King!” exclaimed the Heaven Smiting God Emperor in astonishment.

Profound astonishment appeared on every single face—truly every single one, including all the God Emperors!

The sword that had pierced from the void was less than twenty zhang from Xia Qingyue. At such a proximity, not a single one of them had detected it!

Though they were merely facing Yun Che, who was as weak and unthreatening as an ant, their spiritual senses were naturally not on high alert. Yet, despite the presence of thirteen God Emperors, a host of Brahma Kings and Guardians, and hundreds of Upper Realm Kings, a single person had approached within twenty zhang completely undetected!

How utterly inconceivable!

And that sword, aimed directly at the throat—had it struck a Divine Master below the God Emperor level instead of Xia Qingyue, they would likely have been instantly gravely wounded, or perhaps even killed outright.

Xia Qingyue swept far back, her gaze fixed on the suddenly appearing ice-blue figure. Yet, in her icy eyes, the former trust and tranquility were gone, replaced solely by coldness and hatred.

Mu Xuanyin!

Yun Che’s figure was flung far back. His previously unfocused eyes almost instantly regained their clarity, reflecting the incredibly familiar ice-blue figure. In that moment, he seemed to have fallen into an even deeper illusionary dream, uttering a lost, low murmur: “Master…?”

Whoosh!!

With the Snow Princess Sword pointed forward, Mu Xuanyin’s icy hair billowed. An ethereal ice phoenix appeared behind her, as if solid, then suddenly exploded in the next instant. Ice-blue radiance and extreme cold transformed the surrounding million miles of space into a frigid, nether hell.

The stunned onlookers were once again greatly alarmed. The Azure Dragon Emperor of the Western Region, widely recognized as the foremost ice and water elemental practitioner among the three divine regions, displayed an astonishment far surpassing anyone else’s, murmuring in a hushed voice, “When did such a figure emerge in the God Realm?!”

This was clearly the aura of a God Emperor!

And, it was ice-elemental might!

“The Snow Song Realm King of the Eastern Region… the rumors were truly accurate,” whispered the Qilin Emperor beside her, equally astonished.

After exclaiming “Snow Song Realm King,” the Heaven Smiting God Emperor’s expression shifted once more. His figure lunged forward, and a vast God Emperor aura surged to meet the icy energy, instantly sealing the space around Mu Xuanyin and Yun Che. “Yun Che possesses a Sky Profound Stone!” he bellowed.

This low roar instantly snapped all the momentarily stunned God Emperors back to attention. Immediately, five God Emperor auras erupted simultaneously, and in a single instant, the unbearable space directly collapsed.

The Heaven Smiting God Emperor was at the forefront. He disregarded Mu Xuanyin, focusing solely on Yun Che, and the distance Yun Che had been flung was instantly closed.

A God Emperor’s spiritual pressure, if it directly enveloped a body, would instantly pulverize even Yun Che’s Dragon God physique.

On the other side, the Brahma Heaven God Emperor surged forth almost simultaneously, heading directly for Mu Xuanyin.

The combined might of two Emperors—who could withstand it?

Xia Qingyue remained rooted to the spot, motionless.

She had attempted to kill Yun Che twice, and both times she was thwarted at the very last second.

The first time, she was blocked by Qianye Ying’er; the second, by Mu Xuanyin. Both instances were utterly unforeseen, and both occurred in the presence of the God Emperors, yet they remained unprepared.

“Is this fate?” she sighed softly, gazing at the purple glow enveloping the sword in her hand.
