Chapter 1422: Enchanting Sound Goddess

Lo Guoxie’s words made it impossible to discern whether they were sarcasm or jealousy. Mu Xuanyin, however, remained impassive, coldly calling out her name: “Lo Guoxie, you have disturbed my Ice Phoenix Realm and injured my disciples and elders. Shall I consider this an act of provocation?”

“Provocation?” Lo Guoxie sneered. “Do you think a small Snow Song Realm is worthy?”

Mu Xuanyin remained silent.

“But rest assured, justice will be served. I, Lo Guoxie, never stoop to bullying the weak or harming others. Only Yun Che must die!” Lo Guoxie slowly extended her hand, an invisible pressure descending. “Bring Yun Che out to me, and all of you will be safe.”

“I have not directly entered your sect to seize him, which already shows your Snow Song Realm ample respect. Don’t refuse a toast only to drink a forfeit!”

“What great respect indeed,” Mu Xuanyin said, unmoved by the increasing pressure from Lo Guoxie. Her voice was terrifyingly cold. “He is indeed here in my Snow Song Realm. If you wish to see him, you may.”

“Oh?” Lo Guoxie’s gaze flickered. “You’re wise enough to know your place.”

“However, answer me one thing first,” Mu Xuanyin’s flawless face remained expressionless. “Who told you he was here?”

“Heh,” Lo Guoxie chuckled coldly as if hearing a joke. “You are not in a position to make demands. I’ll give you ten breaths... If you don’t hand Yun Che over after ten breaths, then... don’t... blame... me!”

Her final words carried immense deterrence with every syllable.

To her surprise, under her released intimidation, the Snow Song Realm King in her sight remained completely unmoved. Not even a flicker of fear or trembling could be seen in her eyes; instead, they harbored a chilling light that seemed capable of piercing souls.

“Heheheh…”

Just then, a delightful girl’s laughter resounded without warning. No one was seen, no aura detected, yet the voice was right beside their ears, seemingly possessing an inexplicable magical power that lingered in their ears and souls: “Daddy, this is the Snow Song Realm. It’s all snow, so beautiful.”

“Heheh,” a man’s voice, far calmer and deeper than the girl’s, but without that eerie soul-stirring quality, replied, “Eternal ice and snow are naturally beautiful beyond compare. Truth be told, this is my first time here as well.”

As the man’s voice drifted closer, his aura became discernible to both Lo Guoxie and Mu Xuanyin.

Mu Xuanyin’s frosty eyebrows twitched slightly, while Lo Guoxie spun around abruptly, her eyes flashing with a strange light.

Soon, two figures appeared in their sight.

The man was tall and dressed in blue. Despite his exceptionally gentle face, it concealed a supreme majesty that deterred anyone from a second glance.

No matter where he appeared, no matter where he stood, anyone who saw him would never doubt that he was a reigning emperor.

Unfortunately, his imposing presence was completely and utterly overshadowed by the woman beside him.

She was a young woman who looked simultaneously in her twenties and her teens, with dark eyes, long black hair, and a black dress...

She was exquisitely beautiful, with an uncanny, alluring charm. Her hair was as black as the night sky, strikingly vivid against the pure white snow. Her eyes were exceptionally deep and dark, like bottomless abysses, shimmering with a faint black light as they subtly rippled. Her already fair complexion was made even more pristine and jade-like by the contrast with her dark hair and black dress.

As she gazed at the endless falling snow and the people within it, her delicate lips curved slightly. Her smile seemed both innocent and seductive, a seeming contradiction that, on her, appeared with an eerie harmony.

“Heheh,” the tall man smiled faintly. “I am Shui Qianheng of the Glazed Light Realm. I’ve come uninvited and apologize for the intrusion. I hope you don’t mind.”

This blue-clad man was none other than Shui Qianheng, the Realm King of the Glazed Light Realm!

Mu Xuanyin nodded slightly and said calmly, “For the Glazed Light Realm King and the Divine Maiden Meiyin to visit as such esteemed guests is a great honor for my Snow Song Realm. There is no cause for blame.”

The girl in the black dress stepped forward, performing a junior’s courtesy: “This junior, Shui Meiyin of the Glazed Light Realm, greets the Snow Song Realm King.”

After speaking, she looked up and seriously gazed at Mu Xuanyin, her brows curving. “When Meiyin was very young, my mother told me that the Snow Song Realm King was the most beautiful woman in the Northern Divine Region. Seeing you today... you’re actually much, much more beautiful than Mother said.”

“Meiyin, no nonsensical chatter,” Shui Qianheng interjected, though without any real reprimand in his tone.

Mu Xuanyin nodded slightly, offering no reply, but her gaze lingered on Shui Meiyin for a full three breaths.

As one of the three strongest Upper Star Realms, the Glazed Light Realm’s name had always resonated throughout the God Realm, yet it also carried the moniker of “eternal second,” consistently overshadowed by the Sacred Universe Realm.

However, this year, the Glazed Light Realm’s prestige for the first time surpassed the Sacred Universe Realm, making it the foremost among the Upper King Realms.

It wasn’t that the Sacred Universe Realm had suddenly weakened; quite the opposite. After three thousand years in the Brahma Heaven, Luo Changsheng had achieved the seventh level of Divine Master, shaking the entire God Realm and becoming the supreme glory of the Sacred Universe Realm.

Yet, Luo Changsheng’s astonishing feat was not unique, nor even the most astonishing.

Simultaneously, the Glazed Light Realm saw the emergence of Shui Meiyin, who also achieved the seventh level of Divine Master... and, moreover, she was a seventh-level Divine Master who had awakened the Immaculate Divine Soul!

At the same time, her elder sister, Shui Yingyue, also surpassed expectations, achieving the fifth level of Divine Master, causing the Glazed Light Realm to suddenly gain two immensely brilliant stars overnight!

The Sacred Universe Realm had Luo Changsheng in this generation, who at his age was more dazzling than any previous generation. Yet, ironically, the neighboring Glazed Light Realm had produced an even more brilliant star...

And this Heavenly Chosen Daughter, now globally renowned, had at this very moment arrived at the Snow Song Realm... accompanied by her father, the Glazed Light Realm King...

“Shui Qianheng, what are you doing here?” Anyone would be surprised by Shui Qianheng’s presence in the Snow Song Realm. Lo Guoxie was no exception, but then she subtly guessed something, and her expression darkened slightly.

Shui Qianheng’s faint smile remained. “I, Shui, heard a strange rumor that Yun Che did not perish under the Evil Infant all those years ago, but is still alive and residing in the Snow Song Realm. Yun Che and my humble daughter Meiyin have long been betrothed; this was known throughout the world four years ago. Having heard this news, it’s only natural for me to come and investigate.”

Mu Xuanyin remained silent.

“And why, may I ask, is Fairy Guoxie here?” Shui Qianheng chuckled as he countered, simultaneously glancing at Shui Meiyin from the corner of his eye, sighing inwardly.

“Heh,” facing the amicable Shui Qianheng, who clearly wanted no trouble, Lo Guoxie let out an unreserved cold laugh. “Do you truly not know why I am here?”

Shui Qianheng’s eyebrow twitched, but he maintained his smile. “It seems Fairy Guoxie still holds a grudge from back then. However, Yun Che is merely a junior, and given your status, Fairy Guoxie, in this world, why stoop to his level?”

Although Shui Qianheng was the Glazed Light Realm King, he clearly did not want a confrontation with Lo Guoxie. In this world, no one would willingly offend a figure like Lo Guoxie unless absolutely necessary. Every word of the title “Foremost Beneath the King Realms” carried immense deterrence and oppressive power.

To avoid further infuriating Lo Guoxie, he did not directly state that her despicable attempt to kill Yun Che first had led to all her humiliation, choosing his words with utmost tact. Yet, what he received was still Lo Guoxie’s cold stare: “And what if I refuse? What then?”

Shui Qianheng smiled faintly. “Yun Che and my humble daughter are, after all, betrothed. In the future, he will be my Glazed Light Realm’s son-in-law. I believe Fairy Guoxie has long been aware of this. Since we’ve met so coincidentally today, might I ask you to grant me, Shui, this favor? I will certainly express my gratitude on another occasion.”

“Grant you a favor? Heh... Then who will grant *me* a favor? Who will cleanse *my* past humiliation!?” Lo Guoxie did not back down; instead, her expression grew even darker, almost ferocious. Someone protecting Yun Che only fueled her rage and hatred.

Having used gentle words three times with Lo Guoxie, Shui Qianheng’s face darkened, and his voice became firm. “If that’s the case, there’s nothing more to discuss. I came here today not only to confirm his life or death but also to bring him back to the Glazed Light Realm! So, if you wish to settle this grievance, I’m afraid you’ll have to come to my Glazed Light Realm in the future!”

“Is that so!?” Lo Guoxie clenched her hands. “Then I’d like to see if you have the ability to take a living Yun Che away!”

*Boom...*

A muffled groan echoed between heaven and earth. The falling snow turned chaotic. Behind Lo Guoxie, a terrifying vortex, like an endless abyss, appeared. Her robes billowed out completely. In an instant, fierce winds erupted across a thousand miles of snow, tearing through space and cracking the earth.

“You...” Shui Qianheng’s expression changed slightly, and his brows furrowed deeply.

When Shui Meiyin had forcefully brought him here, he had been dismissive, never imagining that Lo Guoxie would harbor such deep resentment from that past humiliation. Not only had she truly come to the Snow Song Realm herself, but she also showed no regard for his dignity as the esteemed Glazed Light Realm King, even resorting to immediate action.

She was practically insane!

He knew he was no match for Lo Guoxie, and if they truly fought, the Snow Song Realm would undoubtedly suffer a great catastrophe. Just as he was about to say something more, the usually quiet Shui Meiyin beside him suddenly burst out in anger: “Lo Guoxie! It was clearly *you* who shamelessly tried to kill my Brother Yun Che back then, which is why you were humiliated! Now you dare to blame everything on Brother Yun Che? What ‘Fairy Guoxie’? You’re just an unreasonable, shameless old hag!”

Before Lo Guoxie could react, Shui Qianheng was startled, urgently saying, “Meiyin, no nonsensical talk.”

“Hmph!” Shui Meiyin’s nose twitched. “Daddy, we don’t need to be afraid of her. With me here, you can definitely defeat her.”

“Heh... Shui Qianheng, you’ve really raised quite a daughter,” Lo Guoxie chuckled, but her smile carried a heart-shattering menace as her gaze fixed on Shui Meiyin... then she suddenly froze.

She saw a pair of incredibly dark pupils... Then, these dark pupils rapidly expanded and drew closer before her eyes, gradually filling her entire vision, swallowing and burying everything within them.

Before her was an endless expanse of darkness, and within that darkness, countless black butterflies danced silently...

Lo Guoxie’s eyes widened, her body swayed, and the wind vortex behind her suddenly twisted chaotically... Suddenly, her entire body trembled violently. Her pupils regained clarity from the darkness, a deep look of terror appearing in them. Her eyes then darted away from Shui Meiyin as swiftly as lightning. Despite her unrivaled power beneath the King Realms, she dared not look directly at her again: “What an Immaculate Divine Soul, what a Divine Maiden Meiyin! Today, I shall confront you both, father and daughter!”

The atmosphere instantly grew tense, on the verge of erupting... And just then, a distant, indifferent female voice, as if from a celestial realm beyond this world, slowly drifted over: “Lo Guoxie, do you truly intend to act here?”
