Chapter 1882: 妙啊,大妙

**Chapter 1863: Amazing, Simply Amazing!**

Du Shan was also anxious, but he wasn't as fast. He had just rushed out of the courtyard and hadn't even rounded the bamboo corridor when Qiu Hu crashed back into him, his eyes nearly popping out of his head.

"It's open, it's really open!"

His triumphant cry was like a thunderclap in Du Shan's ear, making him instinctively cover them. "Alright, alright, I get it. It's good to have news."

There were actually two special lotus flowers in the pond, called Twin Golden Lotuses, rare artifacts acquired by the Yangshan Trading Company. He Lingchuan had them specially planted there. Before setting sail, he had agreed with his trusted lieutenants that the blooming of the first golden lotus would signify the end of the War of Inverted Sea!

"No, no!" Qiu Hu pulled out a golden lotus petal and pointed to the tiny inscription on it. "Look!"

He never trembled when killing, but now his fingertips quivered because the petal bore these five words:

"I killed Miao Zhantian!"

The blooming of the golden lotus was merely a signal, capable of displaying only a few characters, but Du Shan felt a rush of blood to his head and a dizzy spell upon reading it. He Lingchuan claimed that the War of Inverted Sea was not only over, but Miao Zhantian had also died by his hand, by He Lingchuan's own hand! He found it a bit hard to believe, yet He Lingchuan always made good on his word and never lied about important matters.

Ever since arriving at Julu Port, Du Shan had been waiting day and night for this signal. He had hoped He Lingchuan would achieve something in this great battle, but that was the most terrifying battlefield in the world! Reason told him again and again that if He Lingchuan simply emerged alive, it would be a great victory! It was either complete failure or soaring success. Who knew, who knew, this result was a hundred times better than he had ever expected!

Qiu Hu's throat was dry, his voice almost a whisper: "The plan that Lord and Mr. Du have been preparing for so long can finally begin!"

"The Great Emperor of Nine Hells has entered the world to slay Miao Zhantian!" Du Shan laughed heartily, looking up at the sky. "Amazing, truly amazing! What kind of opening could be more explosive than this earth-shattering news!"

Du Shan's heart swelled with excitement at the thought of what was to come. He knew that joining He Lingchuan had been an absolutely correct decision! But now, he had an impromptu addition: "Where is the largest and most popular Miao Zhantian temple nearby?"

Qiu Hu answered quickly: "In Maiqiu, about forty li from here. It's the main Miao Zhantian temple for the entire western Flash Gold region. Every time I've passed by, the incense has been thick, and many devotees who couldn't get inside would kneel outside for the entire night."

Miao Zhantian had numerous temples scattered across the Flash Gold Plains, but there were three main temples: one in Maiqiu in the west, one in Yaoguo in the south-central region, and another in the north-central region. Why were there none in the east and far north? The wilderness had too few people.

"The Goddess Temple in Maiqiu is the largest, but they're incredibly stingy, delaying several payments to Yangshan for three or four months!"

The Yangshan Trading Company could virtually walk sideways through the central and western Flash Gold region, with local powers generally unwilling to cross it. Yet, it alone had to show some deference to the Goddess Temple. Miao Zhantian was the chief deity on the Flash Gold Plains, a supreme and unchallenged great god! Under this banner, the temple attendants of the Goddess Temple had certainly enriched themselves and committed many improper acts. Of course, from this moment on, that was all in the past.

Du Shan grinned, his white teeth gleaming. "Good, that's the one. I have an idea that's sure to make the plan's opening even more effective, but can you get Madam Zhu Er to help?"

A month ago, the monsters from Yangshan Archipelago had already arrived at Julu Port, including Madam Zhu Er and her offspring, as well as those who could be put to great use tonight—

Qiu Hu nodded. "Of course." Yangshan's Spidersilk Island was off-limits to outsiders, but he often took his fleet there to procure goods and was quite familiar with Madam Zhu Er. Even the small spiders would automatically make way for him when they saw him.

While Qiu Hu went to find Madam Zhu Er, Du Shan personally rushed to Tanxiang Residence at the port. Julu Port was no longer the dilapidated place it once was. With incredibly busy commerce and logistics, new inns, restaurants, and entertainment venues had sprung up like mushrooms. Tanxiang Residence, a pleasant establishment that opened just last month, allowed guests to wash off their travel dust and enjoy some warm, fragrant incense.

Du Shan entered the main gate and immediately said, "Take me to Old Fu."

A beautiful woman then led him down a back alley. Two powerful brawny men by the main gate bowed to him before returning to their seats. The flower alley was filled with the scent of cosmetics and dampness. Du Shan entered a single-family house with a blue-tiled roof, went upstairs, pushed aside a soft curtain, and clapped his hands twice loudly.

"Old Fu, wake up."

Lying on the couch was Fu Liushan. Before he even moved, the two young women he was embracing rose, put on their clothes, and left. In an instant, only the two of them remained in the room.

Fu Liushan opened his eyes to a slit, glancing at Du Shan. "Why are you here chasing people out?" Du Shan was still outside the courtyard when Fu Liushan had heard his hurried footsteps.

"It just got dark, and you're already asleep?"

"Getting old, gotta hurry and have a son, right?" Fu Liushan yawned. He had to admit that he'd become corrupted and decadent since being recruited; his bones weren't as hard as they used to be. "Sigh, lust is like a steel knife scraping bones; the more it scrapes, the softer the bones become." He slowly got up. "Has Boss He emerged from seclusion? You seem so flustered."

Du Shan usually appeared to be in complete control, calm and collected. For him to be so hurried that he almost lost a shoe, it likely meant that their major, secretly planned event had come to fruition. Fu Liushan waved his hand, conjuring a barrier to prevent outsiders from overhearing their secret.

"More than that!" Du Shan's eyes gleamed. "Miao Zhantian is dead, killed by Master He's own hands!"

Fu Liushan's posture suddenly became nimble; he sprang upright. "Eh? What did you say?"

"Oh, playing it cool just now, weren't you?" Du Shan raised an eyebrow. "Master sent the message; it's absolutely true." No one within Yangshan doubted He Lingchuan's words.

"My heavens!" Fu Liushan's eyes darted around as he thought. "Goodness gracious, this is huge! Tsk tsk tsk, do you know how many people this news will overturn?"

"I know, that's why I rushed to find you." Du Shan's smile vanished. "Get out the scripts you've written, and revise them quickly, right now!"

Fu Liushan threw off the covers and sat up, then ran barefoot to the outer room. This was a study with a desk, notebooks, and writing tools—he often wrote his scripts here. Of course, the most important scripts weren't on the desk but hidden in his storage ring. He had long prepared scripts for this day, perhaps four or five versions, each for a different outcome. But not a single version was this crazy! The scripts wouldn't even dare to write this!

Fu Liushan grumbled good-naturedly, a wide smile on his face, as he lit up the fluorescent spores on the table.

"The first draft needs to be revised within half an hour," Du Shan instructed him. "I'll find someone to transcribe it. By tomorrow morning, all storytellers must have it memorized!"

"Got it!" Fu Liushan waved his hand impatiently, spat twice, and began grinding ink.

Happy New Year!Wishing everyone a prosperous and joyous New Year, full of happiness and wealth!
