Chapter 996: Breaking the Law with One Strike

Volume Six: Heavenly Spiritual Treasures

"No, stop! Your Wind Dragon has shrunk significantly," Han Li suddenly shouted, turning his head towards the black-clad beautiful woman.

In fact, she didn't need to be told; the beautiful woman had already vaguely sensed that something was amiss. Upon hearing Han Li's cry, her heart seized with alarm. She immediately formed a hand seal, and the wind blades from the Wind Dragon's mouth ceased. With a whistle, the dragon shot out of the light sphere, hovered for a moment, and then remained suspended motionless in the air.

Indeed, both Wind Dragons had shrunk to nearly half their original size.

The light sphere, which had been broken into bean-sized fragments by the wind blades, instantly reformed into a single entity the moment the Wind Dragons flew out.

By this point, the giant light sphere had expanded to over thirty zhang in width, occupying nearly a third of the trapped light barrier.

Within the light sphere, after a cold chuckle, the Silver-Winged Yaksha appeared, holding the Wicked Moon Phantasm, a sneer on its face.

Seeing this, Han Li sighed.

He had encountered a similar situation years ago in the Starfall Sea during his battle with the Young Master of Six Paths.

Back then, Wen Tianren had used a special treasure that allowed him to hide within a violet cloud, subtly distorting space, making it impossible for Han Li's flying swords to harm him. Ultimately, it was only by relying on the formidable power of the Fiendish Devil Slash that he forcibly broke through the restriction and severed one of his opponent's arms.

It seemed the Silver-Winged Yaksha was employing a similar divine ability this time, but its sophistication was undoubtedly far superior to anything the Young Master of Six Paths possessed.

However, the Fiendish Devil Slash... Han Li had been too busy cultivating and hadn't refined it further. Still, using a similarly overbearing method should be able to break this technique.

Unfortunately, his Azure Embroidered Bee Cloud Swords could no longer form the Grand Geng Sword Formation. Otherwise, this Silver-Winged Yaksha, immobilized by its spell, would be doomed once trapped in the sword formation, no matter how peculiar the light sphere was.

With a clear assessment in mind, Han Li immediately formed a plan.

He took a deep breath, slapped his storage pouch with one hand, then flipped his palm. A crimson red talisman suddenly appeared in his grasp. Flamelike runes pulsed on the talisman, and a faint, mini red flood dragon flickered into and out of existence. It was a Spirit Descent Talisman.

This talisman was something Han Li had refined incidentally while crafting the Three Flames Fan, using the spirit of that Level Eight Scarlet Fire Dragon. Because of this, he had been delayed for some time and nearly missed his meeting with the elder named Fu and others in the Poisonous Valley.

Having gained experience from his previous attempt, the quality of this talisman was far superior to the last. The magical power it could boost was also much greater than his previous Spirit Descent Talisman.

Without hesitation, he slapped the talisman onto his body. The fiery red talisman vanished in a flash, merging with him.

A phantom dragon shadow immediately appeared behind him, instantly possessing Han Li.

Enveloped in a crimson glow, Han Li grew horns on his head and fiery red scales partially emerged on his body. In mere moments, he transformed into an eerie half-human, half-dragon form. His entire magical power also surged to the peak of the Mid Nascent Soul stage.

"Fellow Daoist Han!""Oh!"

Clearly, both the black-clad beautiful woman and the Silver-Winged Yaksha were startled, exclaiming in surprise upon seeing Han Li's transformed state. Neither had apparently ever witnessed a Spirit Descent Talisman before!

The Silver-Winged Yaksha, sensing Han Li's soaring cultivation, instantly wiped the smile off its face.

At this moment, Han Li formed a hand seal. The dozens of golden flying swords that had been circling outside the light sphere shot skyward in unison. After a swift whirl, they emitted a clear ringing sound, then shimmered, each splitting into six.

Nearly two hundred beams of golden sword light instantly emerged, then converged in one spot.

In an instant, a mass of golden light manifested in the air, dazzling and eye-piercing like a scorching sun.

The light then condensed, revealing a ten-zhang-long golden giant sword floating majestically above the light sphere. The astonishing aura emanating from the sword caused even the Silver-Winged Yaksha below to change its expression slightly.

As soon as the giant sword took shape, Han Li immediately pointed at the Snow Crystal Orb on his chest.

With a whoosh, the orb transformed into a streak of violet light and shot towards the giant sword.

At the same time, he channeled his spiritual sense, sending a spell seal towards the giant sword.

Then, a deafening thunderclap echoed!

Arm-thick golden arcs suddenly appeared on the sword, and countless electric currents enveloped the entire giant sword. For a moment, golden light intertwined and shot in all directions, accompanied by continuous thunderous roars.

Just as Han Li activated the Demon-Slaying Divine Thunder, the Snow Crystal Orb also reached the hilt of the giant sword.

After a flash of violet light, the orb vanished into it. Immediately, an eerie layer of purple flames spread from the hilt along the sword body, causing the giant sword's golden arcs and purple flames to interweave and flash, making it resemble a divine artifact of the immortals.

Seeing this, the Silver-Winged Yaksha's expression grew increasingly grim, its furry face subtly paling.

By this time, the massive light sphere had expanded to occupy nearly half of the space within the light barrier, forcing Han Li and the black-clad beautiful woman to slowly drift backward. However, as she watched the giant sword in the air, the beautiful woman's astonishment far surpassed that of the Silver-Winged Yaksha, and her thoughts raced.

Under such a terrifying attack, even a late-Nascent Soul stage cultivator would surely not dare to directly withstand this blow.

"Break!" Han Li coldly uttered, just as the beautiful woman was reeling in shock.

The giant sword, accompanied by a deafening roar of thunder, plunged downward, simultaneously releasing a golden sword beam several zhang long.

Even before the sword touched the light sphere below, the spiritual pressure it exerted caused the sphere to tremble ceaselessly.

With a flash of golden light, the giant sword slashed down, and the light sphere was instantly shattered and dispersed by the immense spiritual energy.

Once the light dissipated, there was no one left within the light sphere. The Silver-Winged Yaksha had surprisingly reappeared a short distance away in another part of the air, glaring gloomily at the giant sword.

Under the immense pressure of the giant sword, the fiend ultimately dared not directly confront Han Li's attack. Just as the giant sword was about to strike, it used its silver wings to fly away.

However, the Wicked Moon Phantasm in its hand had ceased spewing, and its cultivation technique had been forcibly broken. Therefore, after the giant light sphere was destroyed, it could not reform.

The Silver-Winged Yaksha's eyes flickered as it secretly pondered which divine ability to use next, when a sharp whooshing sound suddenly came from behind it. Following that, a red line abruptly appeared about a zhang behind it, flashing past and piercing towards the back of its head.

The Silver-Winged Yaksha's divine abilities could rival those of late-Nascent Soul cultivators, so its spiritual sense was naturally keen. Although the red line appeared suddenly, it shook its silver wings without turning its head, blocking the attack from behind.

With a boom, much to the fiend's surprise, the red line struck its silver wings and suddenly transformed into a massive fireball that exploded. This startled the Silver-Winged Yaksha!

However, it quickly realized that the fireball was merely for show and posed no real threat, prompting a sigh of relief. Yet, once the flames dissipated, there was nothing inside; the red line had vanished without a trace.

The Silver-Winged Yaksha paused in bewilderment, just about to meticulously search with its spiritual sense, when a thunderous roar erupted in front of it. The giant sword soared into the air and once again cleaved down towards it.

From a distance, the black-clad beautiful woman also activated a spell. The two Wind Dragons, having flown above the flying corpse at some unknown point, circled once, then shook their heads, wagged their tails, and opened their mouths, unleashing countless dense wind blades downwards.

At this critical moment, the Silver-Winged Yaksha had no time to consider anything else. With a flick of its hand, it threw the Wicked Moon Phantasm forward, holding it steady. Then, with a solemn gesture, it grabbed at the void towards the giant sword. Instantly, two massive hands, each about a zhang in size and formed from malevolent soul threads, appeared in mid-air, defiantly striking out with fists to block the giant sword.

Now that it wasn't immobilized as before, it intended to test the power of the giant sword.

At the same time, the fiend's silver wings dramatically expanded several-fold, forming a shimmering silver screen to shield its head.

After a rapid succession of "puchi" sounds, the wind blades struck the silver screen and were easily deflected.

As soon as the giant hands and the giant sword clashed, two resounding "boom" sounds erupted. With astonishing power, the sword severed and dispersed one of the hands, though its own sword aura also diminished by almost half.

When it struck the second giant hand, both recoiled involuntarily, appearing evenly matched.

However, at the exact moment the giant sword struck the second gray hand with a tremendous crash, the vanished red line bizarrely reappeared directly in front of the Silver-Winged Yaksha's chest.

"Not good!" The Silver-Winged Yaksha's heart jolted. One of its furry hands quickly shot forward to grab, but it was too late.

The red line merely flashed, then pierced through the Wicked Moon Phantasm with a "thud." However, it was immediately snatched by a furry hand, with lightning speed.

Only then, with a crisp "bang," did the small black mirror shatter into a burst of black light.

"How dare you destroy my precious mirror!" Upon seeing the Wicked Moon Phantasm ruined, the Silver-Winged Yaksha's body trembled violently, and an expression of extreme rage immediately contorted its face. This treasured mirror seemed to hold special significance for it; even the flying needle, now fiercely burning with flames and glowing red like a branding iron in its furry grasp, was completely ignored.

Han Li was stunned.

His purpose in ambushing the treasured mirror was quite simple: this mirror, combined with the monster's illusions, was truly too troublesome, so it was best to deal with it at once.

Facing the Silver-Winged Yaksha's fury now, Han Li felt somewhat puzzled, but his hand movements didn't cease in the slightest. With a hand seal, the previously dimmed golden giant sword disintegrated with a tremendous roar.

Nearly two hundred beams of sword light instantly transformed into a massive sword net, slashing down in unison. He showed no mercy!

If the opponent dared to use its silver wings to block, he wouldn't hesitate to use the flying swords infused with Geng Essence to instantly slice it into countless pieces. Meanwhile, the Snow Crystal Orb spun, and several fist-sized firebirds directly flew out from it, then gently floated downwards.

However, even though the Silver-Winged Yaksha was extremely enraged, it didn't fall for the trap of directly confronting Han Li's attack. Instead, with a flicker of its silver wings, it instantly reappeared in a different location, glaring savagely at Han Li, its silver eyes beginning to turn blood-red.

"Originally, I didn't want to waste too much of my vital essence; I only intended to use illusions to make you surrender. But now I've changed my mind. I will personally capture you, extract your essence soul, and then slowly devour it, bite by bite," the Silver-Winged Yaksha declared, its face radiating murderous intent.

Following that, its form blurred, and it appeared atop the Corpse Wolf's head. Without a word, it lifted its foot and stomped on the wolf's head. Its pair of silver wings rapidly fanned a few times, emitting a layer of yellow light.

Then, both the Yaksha and the wolf silently sank into the ground, like phantoms!

"Earth Evasion!" Han Li's brows immediately furrowed. He pointed at his flying swords and treasured orb, and all his treasures flew back to him in unison.

Just then, a rumbling sound came from beneath the ground, and the entire formation trembled violently. Then, wisps of yellow light and black qi emerged from various parts of the formation, and from deep underground came a piercing shriek from the Silver-Winged Yaksha, as if it was in extreme pain.

At this moment, the black-clad beautiful woman's expression was unreadable. She glanced at Han Li, then lowered her gaze to the underground formation. After a brief hesitation, she clenched her teeth and abruptly shot towards one of the gray cocoons.

Mid-flight, she first raised a hand, and a pair of scissor-shaped magic treasures shot out from it.

The treasure gleamed brilliantly, appearing exceptionally sharp!
