Chapter 994: Silver-eyed Illusion Technique

Upon hearing this, Han Li's lips twitched imperceptibly, then he suddenly raised a hand in an unexpected move. Two small swords shot out, flashing briefly as they targeted the two giant gray cocoons suspended in the air. Realizing the formidable nature of the monster before him, Han Li immediately decided to rescue the other two individuals first. With all four of them working together, their chances of success would naturally be much higher.

The Silver-winged Yaksha, observing this from the opposite side, remained motionless, yet a cold smirk played on its lips. As a strange gleam flashed in its silver eyes, two enormous gray hands abruptly materialized from the two gray cocoons, swiftly snatching at the two streaks of golden light. Their movements were incredibly fast. Caught off guard, Han Li watched as his two flying swords were ensnared by the colossal hands, which were conjured from Baleful Soul Threads.

Although startled, Han Li remained calm. With a surge of his spiritual sense, thunderous roars echoed within the two gray hands, accompanied by flickering golden light. The Evil-repelling Divine Thunder unleashed by the two flying swords instantly disintegrated the Baleful Soul Threads into fragments, seemingly on the verge of breaking free.

However, at that very moment, dense gray threads shot out from the cocoons, enveloping them layer upon layer. Simultaneously, plumes of gray energy diffused from the colossal hands, coalescing once more into threads. For a moment, the two golden swords found themselves utterly ensnared within.

Han Li frowned, clenching his fists within his sleeves. Immediately, his entire body pulsed with golden light, and a booming sound erupted as a brilliant golden electrical net materialized around him, making him appear like a thunder god descended to the mortal realm.

The Silver-winged Yaksha, which had been intently observing the Soul-devouring Beast, now turned its gaze toward Han Li, a hint of surprise appearing on its face.

"Interesting. You can actually break through my Baleful Soul Threads. Those three Corpse Fiend avatars of mine, you were the one who destroyed them, weren't you?" the Silver-winged Refined Corpse stated emotionlessly.

"Indeed, I was the one who destroyed them. Your speech and mannerisms are remarkably similar to ours, humans. It appears your intelligence is exceptionally high; you even understand how to weigh advantages and disadvantages. I won't waste words. If you are willing to surrender that Yin Zhi Ma and release my two companions, we can withdraw from here immediately," Han Li stated coldly, glancing at the remains of the burly man named Yuan, then gesturing towards the Yin Zhi Ma nearby.

Just then, the Soul-devouring Beast, transformed into a colossal ape, let out a timely low growl. The malevolent ghost pattern on its back radiated a dazzling blood-red glow, clearly conveying a sense of threat.

"You want this small creature? Of course. Release your companions, and letting you leave this place is not out of the question," the Silver-winged Yaksha stated without hesitation.

"You truly agree?" The black-clad beautiful woman, who had already conjured her Dharma Wheel into mid-air, showed a look of pleasant surprise upon hearing this.

Han Li, however, remained silent.

"I've agreed to so many conditions, yet you only need to agree to one of mine. You may leave this place, but this spirit beast must remain," the Silver-winged Yaksha declared, its silver eyes swirling slightly as it pointed a green-furred finger at the black colossal ape.

The black-clad beautiful woman froze, utterly taken aback by this.

"You want to keep my spirit beast? You must be dreaming!" Han Li retorted with a cold sneer.

"Then don't bother leaving; stay here and become blood provisions for me!" Upon Han Li's refusal, the Silver-winged Yaksha's face immediately contorted into a hideous grimace. Its fangs elongated by about half, and simultaneously, its eyes erupted with myriad streaks of silver light.

"Beware its illusion!"

A warning from the elder surnamed Fu suddenly emanated from one of the gray cocoons, but the voice was faint, almost imperceptible, and then abruptly ceased. However, the warning clearly came too late.

The silver light was blindingly dazzling; even Han Li, possessing the Bright Clear Spirit Eyes, instinctively squeezed his eyes shut. The black-clad beautiful woman, upon glimpsing the light, was immediately overcome with dizziness and had no choice but to tightly close her eyes.

"This is bad!" Han Li inwardly cursed the moment his eyes closed.

When both individuals reopened their eyes, the surrounding environment had indeed undergone a drastic transformation. Not only had the plaza and gray cocoons vanished without a trace, but the entire surroundings were now a chaotic blur, and the Silver-winged Yaksha was nowhere to be seen.

"An illusion, but it seems to be of a lower rank," Han Li muttered.

"Whether its rank is truly low or not, we'll only know after we try," the black-clad beautiful woman retorted, raising an eyebrow. Concerned that the elder surnamed Fu appeared unusually weakened, the woman was no longer willing to wait. She immediately pointed at the Buddhist Dharma Wheel hovering above her head.

With several soft *puffs*! The Dharma Wheel flared with spiritual light, emitting several seven-colored beams that instantly vanished into the mist. Yet, like a clay ox sinking into the sea, they elicited no reaction whatsoever.

The black-clad beautiful woman's expression darkened. Without hesitation, she unclipped a spirit beast bag from her waist, swiftly tossed it into the air, and then formed hand seals with both hands. Instantly, the bag's opening quivered, unleashing a crimson glow that transformed into a swarm of winged flying serpents. These flying serpents were not large, only about a foot in length, but each bore a crest on its head, and their scales gleamed with a translucent, fiery red hue, clearly indicating they were no ordinary spirit serpents.

The beautiful woman chanted an incantation, then abruptly cast several red spell formations towards the swarm of flying serpents. Instantly, all the flying serpents opened their mouths, releasing countless flames that immediately surged in size and began to burn furiously. A vast sea of fire formed in the blink of an eye, then began to churn and billow.

Observing the woman's actions, Han Li neither intervened nor spoke. Instead, he seized the opportunity to gaze around expressionlessly, a steady blue light emanating from his pupils.

The moment the fire waves, several zhang high, fully formed, the previously gray sky abruptly transformed, becoming utterly dark. With a flash of silver light, two enormous demonic eyes, each a zhang in size and radiating silver light, suddenly materialized within the black mist. They were, astonishingly, the Silver-winged Yaksha's pupil-less silver eyes, somehow morphed to such a colossal scale.

A grotesque cackling sound echoed from above, followed by vast streams of silver light erupting from the giant eyes, striking the sea of fire from above. A bizarre phenomenon then occurred! Wherever the silver light swept, be it the raging inferno or the flying serpents, everything vanished without a trace, as if evaporating into thin air. The entire sea of fire ceased to exist in an instant.

Witnessing this unbelievable sight, Han Li's expression remained unfazed. The black-clad beautiful woman, however, blanched and unleashed another red flying sword, repeatedly striking at the silver eyes in the air. Yet, like attempting to catch the moon in water, her attacks proved utterly ineffective. At this, the woman's heart sank. Clearly, the potency of this illusion far exceeded her expectations, and she now had absolutely no confidence in her ability to dispel it.

The grotesque cackling in the air persisted, growing steadily louder until it rumbled like thunder. Simultaneously, more silver eyes materialized one after another, each as colossal as the last. Moments later, the sky was not only filled with demonic eyes, but streaks of silver light also flickered within the surrounding mist. Then, all the demonic eyes suddenly flashed with silver light, simultaneously undergoing a radical transformation into pristine crescent moons. Following this, sharp howls echoed from the surrounding black mist, accompanied by successive thudding footsteps, as if monstrous beings were about to leap out from the fog.

"Brother Han, do you have any method to dispel this technique?" the black-clad beautiful woman finally asked, unable to contain her impatience. She had already decided that if even the mysteriously exceptional Han Li proved helpless, she would have no choice but to attempt a certain secret technique, even if it meant severely depleting her vital essence.

Han Li did not immediately respond to her. Instead, he simply raised a hand, and a thick golden arc of lightning materialized from his arm. With a crack of thunder, the golden arc shot forth, directly striking one of the silver moons that had just appeared in the mist to the side. With a booming sound, both the moon and the golden arc exploded simultaneously. Almost at the same instant, the other silver moons unleashed countless beams of silver light, causing the surroundings to become blindingly bright once more.

The black-clad beautiful woman felt a sudden dizzying sensation, involuntarily blinking her eyes. But as her body steadied and her mind cleared, she found herself back in the plaza. The black mist, silver moons, and everything else had completely vanished. The woman breathed a sigh of relief. Given her extensive experience, she wasn't overly surprised by this development.

Across from them, the Silver-winged Yaksha stood beneath the verdant bamboo, seemingly without having moved. Yet, one of its silver wings had extended from its back to shield its front, deflecting a crackling golden arc. Its icy gaze was fixed on Han Li, who stood nearby. The woman noticed that, at some point, the monster had produced a pitch-black mirror in its green-furred palm, directing it towards them. The mirror was not large, but it pulsated with an eerie dark glow, giving the viewer the unsettling sensation that their mind was being drawn into it—it exuded an undeniable aura of malevolence.

"You were able to pinpoint my location even within the illusion. That is quite peculiar. With the Evil Moon Illusion Mirror assisting me, the power of my Silver Eye Illusion is at least fifty percent stronger; it cannot simply be broken by powerful spiritual sense. Your eyes seemed unusual within the illusion just now. Have you cultivated a special spirit eye secret art?" the Silver-winged Yaksha remarked casually, waving its silver wing to effortlessly swat aside the golden arc.

Han Li listened to its words, but merely sneered, showing no inclination to reply. Instead, he flicked his sleeve, causing a clear ringing sound to erupt as dozens of small golden swords swarmed out like fish, forming a swirling golden aura before him. Simultaneously, a thunderous roar sounded behind him as a pair of silvery-white feathered wings materialized.

Han Li was far from finished. After taking a deep breath, he suddenly opened his mouth and expelled a snow-white bead, enveloped in a cluster of purple flames. The bead spun continuously before him. The instant it appeared, the temperature throughout the plaza plummeted, as if they had been transported to a world of ice and snow.

Earlier, when Han Li had unleashed his Qing Yuan Sword Glow, the Silver-winged Yaksha had remained indifferent. However, when the feathered wings materialized behind Han Li, a flicker of surprise crossed the monster's face. And when the ice-crystal bead, enveloped by the Violet Heaven Fire, appeared and hinted at its terrifying power, the Yaksha's expression finally turned grave.

Han Li's actions continued. He casually tossed a spirit beast bag into the air, from which a buzzing swarm of golden beetles emerged, coalescing into a golden cloud that hovered overhead. He then formed hand seals, causing a layer of seven-colored spiritual light to manifest around his body. Simultaneously, he flipped his palms, and a purple mirror, shrouded in a violet glow, slowly ascended.

At this point, Han Li had deployed virtually all his magical treasures, holding back only his most potent, one-hit kill ultimate move. Confronting this flying corpse, which might even surpass a late-stage Nascent Soul cultivator in power, he dared not show even the slightest carelessness.
