Although the opponent's Nascent Soul wasn't captured this time, the old man's body was destroyed. He wouldn't be able to recover his vitality for several decades.

Moreover, he would have to find a new body to possess upon returning, but a suitable physical body isn't easily found. Whether he could find one in time was another matter entirely.

If he were forced to find just any body, his cultivation would surely drop drastically.

On the other hand, he had unexpectedly gained two ancient treasures and the storage pouch left behind by the old man. This venture had certainly brought considerable gains. Even if he didn't find any treasures in Venerable Cang Kun's cave mansion, this trip to the Mulan Grasslands hadn't been in vain.

Thinking of this, he looked towards where the old man's body had vanished, noting a light silver storage pouch floating there.

With an unchanged expression, Han Li reached out, and the storage pouch was drawn into his hand. His spiritual sense immediately delved in for a quick scan.

The result left Han Li greatly disappointed!

Besides over ten mid-grade spirit stones, it contained only some common materials for artifact refinement and a few bottles of medicinal pills.

Han Li opened the pill bottles and found they contained only ordinary medicinal pills, nothing special. It seemed the Mulan Grasslands truly lacked cultivation resources, as even a Nascent Soul cultivator of such standing didn't carry many valuable items.

What he most hoped to see, items like jade slips, were entirely absent from the storage pouch. Feeling strange, Han Li sighed softly.

He had originally hoped to acquire some cultivation techniques for spiritual arts, to see if there was any secret to instantly casting powerful spells. Now, it seemed impossible in the short term!

Casually putting away the storage pouch, Han Li looked up, his gaze intently fixed on the distant giant peak.

Although this treasure's original owner, the old man surnamed Mu, had escaped with his Nascent Soul, the black mountain peak's form remained unchanged. Spiritual light continued to flicker on its surface.

Narrowing his eyes, Han Li lightly beckoned towards the treasure. The ownerless ancient treasure's radiance flickered, and it rapidly shrank, flying directly towards Han Li.

When it flew into Han Li's hand, it had already transformed back into a palm-sized miniature mountain.

Han Li held the miniature mountain in his hand and curiously weighed it. It wasn't very heavy. Then, holding the ancient treasure in one hand, he turned it over and over, examining it carefully several times. At the bottom of the black miniature mountain, three small, light golden characters were engraved.

"Thousandfold Peak," Han Li couldn't help but murmur, a look of satisfaction appearing in his eyes.

After putting away the mountain peak, Han Li glanced at the Wind Chasing Chariot and put it away as well.

After looking a few times towards where the old man's Nascent Soul had disappeared, Han Li lowered his head to think for a moment, then changed direction and vanished into the air to one side.

Soon, Han Li's figure disappeared from the nearby sky, leaving no trace. In the area where the hills stretched endlessly, there was no human figure apart from the wild grass taller than a man, making it seem utterly quiet!

However, not long after, a green light flickered on the horizon, and a green rainbow flew rapidly from far to near.

A moment later, the green rainbow flew to the sky above the hills. After circling once, the green light retracted, and Han Li's figure appeared high above.

After glancing down twice, he frowned, then suddenly flicked his wide sleeve, a finger emerging from his cuff to flick.

Several streaks of green light, like shooting stars chasing the moon, flew directly towards a particular hill below.

When they were twenty or thirty zhang above the hill's surface, the green lights burst open, and a faint, almost invisible, light white barrier materialized out of thin air below. Inside the barrier, four figures were looking up at him, all with faint smiles on their faces.

They were Marquis Nan Long, the old man in white robes, the old woman, and the dark-faced burly man.

"Haha! It's truly fortunate that Fellow Daoist Han has arrived safely!" Marquis Nan Long said with a hearty laugh, stroking his long beard. Then, with a wave of his hand, the barrier instantly vanished.

"Oh! Have the other fellow daoists not arrived yet?" Han Li replied with a smile, then slowly floated down without ceremony, landing in front of the four.

"The other fellow daoists might not have escaped so easily," the dark-faced burly man said calmly, shaking his head. "When we fled in different directions, Fellow Daoist Wang and Fellow Daoist You both had Mulan cultivators pursuing them. Shaking off the pursuers is probably not a simple matter."

"However, Fellow Daoist, you surprise me even more. If I'm not mistaken, it seemed the Mulan people's Wind Chasing Chariot was pursuing you. Tsk, tsk! For you to easily escape despite the Wind Chasing Chariot's astonishing speed, it seems I truly didn't pick the wrong person this time," Marquis Nan Long said, seemingly pleased.

But Han Li pressed his lips together. He faintly detected a hint of surprise and suspicion towards him in those words.

"It's nothing. I'm not good at much else, but I do have some confidence in my escape techniques," Han Li replied vaguely, his expression composed.

Seeing that Han Li didn't seem keen to elaborate on his escape, Marquis Nan Long didn't tactlessly press further. Instead, he began discussing the Mulan people's current war and its impact on the Nine Nations Alliance and even all the forces in Southern Heaven.

Aside from the old man in white robes, the old woman and the dark-faced man also interjected, joining the conversation with interest.

"I recall the last major war with the Mulan cultivators lasted over ten years. Who knows how many more years this one will continue?" Marquis Nan Long said with a half-smile. "But during this period, the Righteous and Demonic Paths of Southern Heaven, and the Heavenly Dao Alliance to which Fellow Daoist Han belongs, will surely send people to participate. Given Falling Cloud Sect's position in the Heavenly Dao Alliance, they will definitely require a Nascent Soul stage elder to assist in the war. Perhaps Fellow Daoist Han will have another chance to visit the Mulan Grasslands!"

"In fact, besides the three major forces contributing manpower and resources to assist the Nine Nations Alliance, there are also some rogue cultivators voluntarily coming to resist the Mulan cultivators, including quite a few skilled individuals," the old woman nodded, saying in a low voice. "It will likely be difficult for the Mulan people to gain any significant advantage."

"What I find strange, though, is that they clearly know that once our various Southern Heaven forces unite, the Mulan people, with their current strength, will have no chance at all. Otherwise, the last war would have already decided the outcome. Yet they still actively provoked this major war, which seems a bit unwise!" The dark-faced man frowned, saying in a speculative tone, "Last time, they suddenly received reinforcements, which made their confidence surge and prompted their attack. Could they have added another major tribe this time?"

"That's not impossible, but..."

As they discussed, a significant amount of time passed by unnoticed.

Suddenly, Marquis Nan Long paused in his speech and looked up towards the distance. The others also instinctively looked as well, a slight seriousness appearing on their faces.

This was the Mulan Grasslands; not only were their scattered cultivators gathering here, but Mulan cultivators might also be passing through.

From the distant sky, lights flickered: a black light and two blood-red streaks flew directly towards them.

After gazing for a moment, Marquis Nan Long's expression settled.

"It's fine, it's Fellow Daoist Wang and his two juniors," Marquis Nan Long said with a broad smile.

Hearing this, the others' expressions relaxed as well.

Indeed, a moment later, the lights drew closer. It was truly Wang Tiangu and his two juniors.

This time, Marquis Nan Long didn't hesitate to directly remove the aerial restriction, and Wang Tiangu and his companions descended onto the hill where Han Li and the others were.

"Oh, Fellow Daoist Han arrived even earlier than us! That truly surprises me!" Wang Tiangu exclaimed, a hint of surprise appearing on his face when he saw Han Li standing among them.

It seemed this cultivator from the Ghost Spirit Sect had also witnessed the Wind Chasing Chariot pursuing Han Li, and perhaps even gloated for a while then!

"Just luck!" Han Li replied unhurriedly, his gaze sweeping over Wang Chan and the other junior beside Wang Tiangu, "On the other hand, Fellow Daoist Wang, for you to bring two juniors and still be completely unharmed, that truly impresses me." He spoke with a hint of deeper meaning.

"Heh heh! The Mulan cultivators who pursued the three of us weren't particularly fast," Wang Tiangu replied dismissively. "My two juniors and I teamed up to use our sect's escape techniques and easily shook them off! How could that compare to being pursued by Mulan cultivators driving the Wind Chasing Chariot?"

Hearing this, Han Li sneered inwardly. Just as he was about to speak again, his expression suddenly changed, and he fell silent.

"Oh, Fellow Daoist You has arrived too! It seems our luck is quite good; we've all made it here safely," Marquis Nan Long said, his face filled with joy as he looked up at the sky again. "I was just wondering earlier, if one or two of those meant to break the restriction were suddenly missing, would we still be able to break it?"

Hearing this, everyone couldn't help but show joyous expressions.

If they had been unable to retrieve the treasure simply because one person was missing, they would naturally have been extremely frustrated.

"Wait!" the old man in white robes, who had been standing silently by himself, suddenly said solemnly. "Fellow Daoist You seems to be pursued, and he looks a bit dishevelled." Hearing this, Han Li and the others were greatly surprised and hastily looked over.

In the distant sky, a white rainbow was indeed rushing towards them, and behind it, two streaks of light, one green and one red, were in hot pursuit.

In the blink of an eye, they reached the small hill where Marquis Nan Long and the others were located.

Marquis Nan Long's expression instantly turned grim.
