Chapter 506: Interrogation

The fierce battle near the port did not last long.

As crimson clouds and various colorful lights intertwined and flashed, another large wave of sinister, grayish-white radiance joined the assault. Under the combined bombardment of countless magic tools and spells, the grand formation below could no longer withstand the onslaught. After a roar, the red light rapidly flickered a few times before bursting open with a tearing sound.

However, whether it was the lingering power of the formation or a deliberate act by the Star Palace cultivators below, the remnants of the sky-piercing red light scattered across the sky like a dying flicker of brilliance, momentarily throwing the Inverse Star Alliance cultivators' formation above into disarray. Seizing this opportunity, the Star Palace cultivators below, as if by prior arrangement, scattered and fled in all directions.

Several beams of light, exceptionally cautious and incredibly fast, shot out of the port from low altitudes. These appeared to be the high-level Star Palace cultivators remaining on the island. Almost simultaneously, more than a dozen equally powerful long rainbows shot out from the sky, pursuing them relentlessly. In an instant, these streaks of light vanished without a trace. It seemed the Inverse Star Alliance's high command intended to capture all Star Palace cultivators on South Bright Island, leaving no one to escape.

At this point, numerous Inverse Star Alliance cultivators began to slowly descend from the sky. Their attire clearly indicated they belonged to two distinct factions. One faction wore silver robes with golden sashes, while the other consisted of eerie cultivators clad entirely in green robes. It appeared that both righteous and demonic factions had mobilized simultaneously!

Han Li was both surprised and yet found it understandable that the battle ended so quickly. After all, the disparity in strength between the two sides was too immense. Even if the Star Palace cultivators wished to fight to the death, they would likely be willing but unable. Han Li, however, couldn't help but secretly wonder if he should take advantage of the chaos to leave the island.

At that moment, a green-robed elder flew forth from the group of green-robed cultivators. Han Li's spiritual sense briefly swept over him, immediately discerning that he was at the early Core Formation stage. The elder unhurriedly flew above Han Li and the others. After his sharp gaze swept around, he solemnly declared:

"Fellow Daoists, listen closely. I am Cang Yunlong, a Protector of the Inverse Star Alliance. By Elder Wang's command, I am here to inform you of something. Our Alliance has just defeated the Star Palace forces. To avoid any misunderstandings, we ask that all fellow Daoists refrain from immediately leaving the island. Once the remaining Star Palace members have been apprehended in two hours, you may all depart at your leisure. Rest assured, fellow Daoists, our Alliance is only targeting the Star Palace and its accomplices. We will certainly not trouble any other fellow cultivators." The elder's voice was not loud, yet it was exceptionally clear, allowing all nearby cultivators observing the battle to hear every word distinctly.

Upon hearing this, the cultivators lurking nearby exchanged glances. No one stepped forward to take the lead or say anything. Nor did anyone seek trouble by voicing opposition. For a moment, there was complete silence.
