Chapter 386: Wu Chou

**Volume 3, Chapter 4: Stirring Up the Seas Afar**

“Profound Yin Demonic Qi!”

Miao and Gu, the two elders, seemed to recognize the origin of these black gases and cried out in terror.

The two, as if seeing venomous scorpions, swiftly separated, instantly fleeing to either side.

The black gases showed no intention of relentless pursuit. Like snakes flicking their tongues, they retracted back to the sea surface, condensing into a swirling black vortex beside the ice-sculpted Infant Carp Beast.

As the black wind gradually subsided, a man and two women appeared beside the Infant Carp Beast.

The man was short and gaunt, with a dark, pockmarked face. The women were voluptuous and beautiful, wearing sleeveless short skirts. All three exuded a chilling, malevolent aura.

The two women were cultivators in the late Foundation Establishment stage. However, Han Li could not discern the cultivation level of the extraordinarily ugly, gaunt young man; he was surprisingly also a Core Formation cultivator.

“Wu Chou! What is the meaning of this? Are you trying to declare war on our Six Links Hall?”

Elder Miao clearly recognized the man and angrily blurted out.

“Declare war? I have no such interest! It’s simply that my ancestor is about to emerge from seclusion beneath the sea. This Infant Carp Beast’s demon core will serve as my celebratory gift!” the gaunt young man said proudly, his eyes fixed on the sky.

“The Grand Ancestor Jiyin is coming out of seclusion?”

The young man's words greatly startled the two Six Links Hall elders, who exchanged bewildered glances.

Upon hearing this, nearby cultivators like Qing Suanzi instantly turned pale! Even the always arrogant middle-aged scholar trembled slightly, revealing a look of apprehension.

Han Li was secretly astonished to witness all this! Could this “Old Ancestor Jiyin” truly command such immense renown?

What puzzled him even more was a faint, déjà vu-like familiarity he felt towards the black malevolent aura emanating from the young man, which he found extremely strange.

Upon closer thought, Han Li recalled that while he didn't know the exact power of this black aura, its presence seemed somewhat similar to the "Blood Refinement Divine Light" cultivated by Emperor Yue and Qu Hun. This made him think of the "Profound Yin Scripture" mentioned in the grayish-white jade slip.

“Could this ‘Profound Yin Demonic Qi’ be related to that item?” Han Li grew suspicious.

But before Han Li could ponder further, Elder Miao couldn't help but shout loudly.

“Wu Chou, what nonsense are you spouting! Everyone knows your ancestor entered life-and-death seclusion over a century ago. Unless he achieves another breakthrough in cultivation, nothing, no matter how major, would make him emerge. Don't tell me your ancestor reached the Mid Nascent Soul stage in just over a hundred years.”

Wu Chou burst into wild laughter upon hearing this.

“Haha. You Six Links Hall truly are ignorant! Who told you my ancestor's seclusion was to reach the Mid Nascent Soul stage? My ancestor was actually cultivating a world-shattering demonic art, and now that his cultivation is complete, of course, he's emerging!” Wu Chou said boastfully.

Miao and Gu were stunned upon hearing this, unsure whether the other party's words were true or false.

“Since you are aware of my ancestor's prestige, I, this young master, will take this Infant Carp Beast. I trust your Six Links Hall won't refuse to give our Extreme Yin Isle this respect!” Wu Chou said sinisterly, seeing their expressions.

Hearing such arrogant words from the other party, Elder Miao's face paled slightly.

Elder Gu, however, had a flickering gaze, seemingly contemplating something. For a moment, neither of them spoke.

As for Qing Suanzi and the others who had been invited to assist, they involuntarily retreated a few steps, looking as if they wanted no part of the situation.

Upon seeing this, Feng Sanniang frowned, helpless for the moment.

After all, Qu Hun and the others had only agreed to deal with demon beasts. They were not subordinates of the Six Links Hall.

In truth, the Six Links Hall was currently at a disadvantage in this situation!

Although the Six Links Hall had two Core Formation cultivators, Miao and Gu, they had just expended a great deal of vital energy activating the two borrowed primordial exotic treasures, the "Heaven-Severing Halberds." The young man named Wu Chou, though also a Core Formation cultivator, practiced the "Profound Yin Art," a top-tier demonic cultivation method from the Scattered Stars Sea, far surpassing what ordinary Core Formation cultivators could achieve!

Moreover, the Old Ancestor Jiyin behind him was a notoriously powerful demonic overlord in the Scattered Stars Sea; who would dare provoke him lightly?!

But if Wu Chou were allowed to take the Infant Carp Beast from right under their noses, the Six Links Hall would suffer a massive loss of face!

Not only would all their previous efforts be wasted, but it would also give others the impression that they were weak and easily bullied, which would be extremely detrimental to the Six Links Hall's future development.

At this moment, Elder Gu, with disheveled hair, subtly moved his lips, secretly conversing with Elder Miao. As they discussed something, their expressions fluctuated between cloudy and clear.

Wu Chou, with a cold snort, arrogantly walked over to the Infant Carp Beast at his feet. With a flash of black light in his hand, an ink-black demonic saber appeared.

With a swift strike, he chopped off the monster beast's strange head and unceremoniously began searching inside the skull. The two women, meanwhile, vigilantly watched Miao and Gu in the sky.

Witnessing this scene, Feng Sanniang's face turned exceptionally grim!

But with the two guest elders, Miao and Gu, still conversing, she dared not act rashly.

Han Li and the others silently watched all this, none daring to utter a sound, fearing they might invite trouble upon themselves.

Before long, Wu Chou extracted an emerald-blue spherical pearl from the Infant Carp Beast's head, and a look of great joy appeared on his ugly face.

Next, he looked up at the strange objects gripped by the four monstrous claws, such as crab pincers, and a greedy expression flashed across his face.

But as he raised the demonic saber in his hand again, Elder Gu spoke in a deep voice, stopping his action.

“Young Isle Master, for the sake of your ancestor's old acquaintance with our Hall Master, you may take the other parts of this Infant Carp Beast. However, the demon core is something our Six Links Hall must acquire; it must be left behind. Otherwise, the two of us will have no way to report to the Hall Master.”

Elder Gu's voice was flat, devoid of any emotion.

Wu Chou, however, sneered a few times upon hearing this. Ignoring the words completely, he still brought down his saber, snatching the beast's severed wrist and the tightly clutched blue coral into his hand.

Witnessing this, Elder Gu first showed a hint of warmth, but then sighed. With a touch of helplessness, he suddenly transmitted a message to Wu Chou.

The moment these transmitted words reached Wu Chou's ears, his demonic saber, which he had already raised, instantly froze in mid-air, and an expression of incredible astonishment appeared on his face.

He then lowered the demonic saber in his hand, and his lips parted and closed in disbelief, as if he were asking something.

Elder Gu, meanwhile, added one or two more sentences with an expressionless face.

This bizarre scene left Han Li and the others utterly bewildered and perplexed.

Elder Miao floated impassively in the air, seemingly oblivious to everything.

“I don't believe it, unless you can provide proof of your identities!” Wu Chou suddenly shook his head and said loudly with a chilling tone.

Whether intentional or not, this sentence was spoken aloud without the use of a sound transmission spell, uttered so brazenly.

Han Li, Feng Sanniang, and the others heard it clearly, and couldn't help but be filled with immense doubt.

The expressions of both Gu and Miao changed drastically. After exchanging glances, they simultaneously showed anger.

“Then, this should prove our identities!” Elder Gu said with a frosty expression, raising his hand as a dark light flew out.

Wu Chou effortlessly caught it in his hand.

Han Li's heart stirred, and he concentrated his gaze. Relying on his powerful spiritual sense, he saw the object clearly: a token engraved with a grotesque ghost head, emanating a faint black aura. Wu Chou was carefully examining it, flipping it back and forth.

Han Li's heart sank, and a faint sense of foreboding crept in.

He quickly turned his head and looked around, his heart tightening.

The others were fine, also watching the actions of the three Core Formation cultivators with doubt, but Qing Suanzi's face was extremely pale. He clasped his hands tightly and silently began to retreat, moving back twenty to thirty zhang in an instant.

The moment he saw Han Li looking at him, he was first startled, then displayed an incredibly awkward and bitter smile, and then, without a word, suddenly transformed into a blue rainbow, fleeing desperately.

Upon seeing this, Han Li's heart sank!

Without a moment's thought, he slapped his storage bag with one hand, rapidly releasing the Divine Wind Boat within. He then pulled Qu Hun onto the magical artifact, and subsequently transformed into a streak of white light, also fleeing urgently towards the nameless small island.

Qing Suanzi's and Han Li's extremely bizarre actions stunned Feng Sanniang and the middle-aged scholar, who had just noticed them, leaving them utterly bewildered.

Elders Gu and Miao below also noticed this scene. Their expressions simultaneously turned cold, and Elder Gu sinisterly remarked:

“The two of us will be responsible for eliminating the two who fled. As for those remaining here, Brother Wu, we'll leave it to you to silence them!”

Having said this, regardless of Wu Chou's agreement, Elder Gu and Elder Miao immediately transformed into two astonishing rainbows, splitting up to pursue Han Li and Qing Suanzi, disappearing without a trace in the blink of an eye.

Wu Chou let out a cold snort. Though his face was full of reluctance, his eyes glinted with killing intent as he looked at the bewildered Feng Sanniang and the others.

“Hmph! Consider yourselves unlucky for hearing what you shouldn't have! Offer your primordial spirits to this young master!”

With these words, Wu Chou spread his arms!

Overwhelming black yin winds instantly surged from his body, sweeping towards Feng Sanniang and the others with astonishing, oppressive might.
