Chapter 367: Isolated Island, Giant Boat

As he and Qu Hun began to teleport in the yellow light, Han Li felt an immense pressure suddenly appear in the hazy yellow surroundings. Fortunately, the Great Teleportation Command Medallion in his hand promptly emitted a faint green light, making the pressure instantly disappear. However, the spiritual power within his body began to rapidly drain into the medallion.

Han Li was already prepared for this and wasn't overly alarmed. All these changes had been mentioned in the ancient texts he had read about the "Great Teleportation Command Medallion."

A moment later, the artifact stopped absorbing spiritual power, and the yellow light dissipated. He and Qu Hun had appeared in a pitch-black location.

The light was too dim for Han Li to clearly see his surroundings. However, the area was eerily quiet, suggesting no one else was present, which put Han Li at ease. He lifted his leg, ready to step out of the magic array.

But as soon as he took a step, he felt dizzy and disoriented. His legs gave way, and he slumped to the ground, almost vomiting from the discomfort.

Han Li knew this was the discomfort caused by long-distance teleportation. His strong reaction was entirely due to his current low cultivation level.

However, he couldn't dwell on his discomfort now. He quickly ordered Qu Hun to destroy the teleportation array.

Qu Hun, expressionless, drew the massive silver sword Han Li had given him. He then hacked one corner of the teleportation array to pieces with repeated strikes.

Witnessing this, Han Li finally felt relieved.

Han Li remained seated on the ground, resting for a while until his eyes adjusted to the darkness.

By then, he vaguely sensed that he was in an abandoned room. Not only was it incredibly dark, but there was also a strong smell of decay.

He casually ran his hand along the ground, feeling a thick layer of dust.

This, surprisingly, made Han Li feel more secure, knowing there would likely be no immediate danger.

After some time, once the discomfort subsided, he slowly stood up, supporting himself with one hand.

Then, Han Li retrieved a moonstone from his storage pouch, illuminating the room clearly.

Just as he suspected, it was a stone room that had been uninhabited for a long time. It was empty except for a stone door directly in front of them.

Han Li glanced back at the destroyed teleportation array, then, after a brief hesitation, walked a few steps to the stone door and pushed it with slight force.

To Han Li's surprise, the stone door opened effortlessly.

"Where is this...?" Han Li's expression showed surprise.

Before him stretched a long flight of bluestone steps, winding slowly upwards for an unknown distance. The steps were also covered in a layer of dust, clearly indicating they hadn't been used in a long time!

Han Li looked back at the room they had emerged from, realizing that the "stone room" was merely a small rock cave.

After a moment of thought, Han Li chuckled to himself and shook his head lightly. He then slowly ascended the steps, with Qu Hun following closely behind him, never leaving his side.

The steps seemed quite long, but after rounding a corner, Han Li saw the exit.

A massive boulder blocked the circular opening.

Han Li frowned at the sight and immediately commanded Qu Hun:

"Break it open!"

After giving the order, Han Li stepped back.

Qu Hun, however, took a large stride forward, raised the silver sword in his hand high, and effortlessly split the giant boulder into several pieces as if it were tofu.

Blinding sunlight immediately streamed in from outside, accompanied by a breath of slightly humid, fresh air.

Han Li took a deep breath, then slowly exhaled.

Ever since he had teleported and noticed the strange odor in the air, he had been holding his breath, never daring to inhale. Now, he could finally breathe freely.

However, he still had a slight doubt: why was the air here somewhat humid, with a faint salty tang? This was vastly different from the air he had breathed before!

Pondering this question, Han Li walked past Qu Hun, then squinted his eyes against the high-hanging sun and looked around.

The sight that greeted him left Han Li stunned.

As far as his eyes could see, there was nothing but endless, sapphire-blue water, stretching out of sight.

Han Li stood dumbfounded for a long time before finally regaining his composure.

"Could this be the legendary great sea?" Han Li mused to himself, a hint of pleasant surprise in his thoughts.

Until now, the largest body of water Han Li had ever seen was merely a massive river channel, several tens of yards wide, in Lanzhou.

Such a vast and boundless expanse of sea he had only occasionally read about in books. But now, witnessing it firsthand, it was truly quite different and truly astonishing.

After gazing for a while, Han Li lowered his head to observe his immediate surroundings, a trace of confusion appearing on his face.

He found himself on a rather high cliff, and not far from the cliff's base was the seashore, where massive waves continuously crashed against the coastal reefs.

Seeing this scene, Han Li rubbed his chin and fell into contemplation.

The color of the seawater was distinctly different from the legendary Boundless Sea, instead matching the description of a normal sea in books. It seemed he had indeed teleported out of Tiannan, though he didn't know which coastal region he was in.

However, regional names made little difference to him. After all, having left Tiannan, he was completely lost and recognized no paths.

After this thought, Han Li didn't immediately fly off on an artifact. Instead, he closed his eyes and slowly extended his spiritual sense, checking for the presence of any cultivators nearby.

After the time it takes to steep a cup of tea, Han Li withdrew his spiritual sense, a peculiar expression on his face.

Without a word, he summoned his Divine Wind Boat, instantly appeared on it, and then shot into the sky without any attempt at concealment.

Only after reaching an altitude of several tens of yards did Han Li stop the Divine Wind Boat, standing at its front and looking around.

In every direction, his eyes met nothing but pure, deep blue light. The shimmering, undulating seawater made Han Li's eyes feel somewhat dazzled.

Directly below him was an isolated island, about ten li in circumference. The cliff from which he had flown was merely a small protruding rocky hill on this island.

Han Li rubbed his nose and couldn't help but let out a wry smile.

This was truly a big problem!

Although there didn't seem to be any danger here, he certainly couldn't cultivate on this island, could he? The spiritual energy here was extremely sparse!

Even to cultivate spirit herbs, a place with decent spiritual energy was required. Otherwise, if he dripped his green liquid here, the spirit herbs would still die the next day. Moreover, the more spiritually potent and valuable the spirit herb, the higher its requirement for spiritual energy, which left Han Li feeling quite helpless!

Han Li piloted the Divine Wind Boat in a wide circle around the island. He finally confirmed that there were no coastlines or other islands nearby. Furthermore, apart from rocks, trees, and a few small snakes, there were no living animals on this small island.

Thus, he could only sigh and fly back into the cave.

As soon as he returned to the cave, Han Li immediately lay down at the entrance and slept soundly.

After all, the sleepless repair work of the past few days and nights had left him utterly exhausted. All problems could wait until he was refreshed after a good sleep!

So, under Qu Hun's watchful guard, Han Li enjoyed a full day and night of sweet sleep.

But after waking up, Han Li once again found himself alone on top of the rocky hill, lost in thought as he gazed at the sea.

After an unknown period, Han Li, expressionless, flew down from the mountaintop on his artifact. He then found a rock of comparable size at the base of the cliff and used it to reseal the cave entrance.

Next, he hovered with Qu Hun nearby for a moment, then, having determined the direction of the setting sun, he sped off without looking back.

According to Han Li's speculation, since someone had established a teleportation array on this island, it surely meant there were other islands or landmasses nearby. Otherwise, who would be so foolish as to build such an expensive ancient teleportation array on an isolated island?

Of course, Han Li didn't know which direction was correct. However, he had decided: he would fly in this direction for several days and nights. If he found no trace of cultivators or mortals, he would change direction and start anew.

Although this method was extremely crude, it was Han Li's only option on this unfamiliar sea. Since he had plenty of spirit stones in his storage pouch, he wasn't worried about his spiritual power running out.

Perhaps Han Li's luck was indeed good today; after only half a day of flying, he spotted a massive sea vessel on the ocean surface.

Han Li was overjoyed.

After all, dealing with mortals was always safer and more stable than negotiating with cultivators!

However, what struck Han Li as odd was the peculiar appearance of this giant ship; its hull had neither a mast nor a sail.

At the bow of the ship, more than a dozen gigantic fish, of species Han Li had never heard of, were pulling the vessel forward at great speed.

Although these giant fish were massive and bristled with sharp fangs, he clearly sensed that they possessed no spiritual energy and were not sea monsters. Otherwise, Han Li would not have dared to approach the giant ship so easily!
