"What is this?"

Han Li was greatly surprised when he saw his opponent block his full-force attack. He couldn't help but concentrate his gaze on the green light.

He saw a small, emerald-green sword, barely an inch long, shimmering with light.

"A magic treasure!" Han Li blurted out, his expression subtly changing.

Han Li was both surprised and delighted. With only a Qi Condensation Stage cultivation of five or six levels, his opponent had managed to block his Black Dragon Capture with this item. What else could it be if not a magic treasure?

He was surprised because his opponent still possessed a magic treasure for protection, which would make the fight more difficult. However, he was delighted at the prospect of acquiring the treasure for himself if he defeated the opponent.

He was now certain that his opponent had indeed been a Core Formation cultivator in the past!

With this thought, Han Li continued to command the Black Dragon Capture to unleash a fierce assault. Simultaneously, he flipped his hand, revealing the 'Soul-Guiding Bell'.

He hadn't used the Soul-Guiding Bell earlier because he believed the opponent was already subdued by the Soul-Stabilizing Talisman, rendering it unnecessary. However, it now seemed essential to use this Natal Magic Weapon to regain control.

The moment Han Li produced the Soul-Guiding Bell, a flicker of panic crossed Qu Hun's eyes. Instantly, however, a fierce expression appeared on his face. He violently struck his lower abdomen, then opened his mouth, spitting out a jade-green pill. The moment the pill appeared, it emitted a soft, hazy green light that completely enveloped his body.

At that instant, the Soul-Guiding Bell in Han Li's hand began to ring out with successive 'clang' sounds. Han Li intended to render his opponent's bones and muscles numb, preventing any further retaliation.

After a barrage of chimes, Qu Hun remained standing, seemingly unharmed and completely unaffected.

Witnessing this, Han Li's expression turned serious. It was clear that the green pill's light was protecting his opponent, rendering his Soul-Guiding Bell ineffective.

Realizing this, and seeing no effect even after two more chimes, Han Li grimly put away the small bell. He then waved both hands, releasing over ten puppets in a flash of white light. These were his last remaining second-tier puppets; if they were destroyed, he would only be left with his less effective self-made puppets.

Thus, Han Li decided against prolonging the fight. The moment the puppets materialized, he directed them to unleash a torrent of light beams and arrows with overwhelming force.

Upon witnessing such a formidable attack, Qu Hun's face registered a mixture of shock and fury. He hastily cast several incantations onto the green pill, causing it to spin rapidly and glow with an intensely brighter green light.

Immediately, various beams of light intertwined, erupting into a dazzling ball of light. Qu Hun was forced back several yards by this onslaught, but he astonishingly managed to withstand the entire attack, leaving Han Li utterly stunned.

A cultivator at Qi Condensation Stage five or six was actually able to withstand a full-force attack from a Foundation Establishment mid-stage cultivator. This was simply astounding. However, Han Li then considered that his opponent was originally a Core Formation cultivator, and possessing a few trump cards didn't seem so strange after all. He pondered these conflicting thoughts.

Qu Hun, having successfully blocked Han Li's attack with his two contingency measures, breathed a huge sigh of relief. His mind raced as he began to formulate appropriate words to persuade Han Li to cease his frantic assault. He knew his meager magical power couldn't sustain such an expenditure.

However, before he could articulate his thoughts, Han Li hesitated briefly, then reached into his storage pouch. He suddenly raised his hand, and a blinding red light flashed from it, vanishing in an instant.

Qu Hun was startled!

Before he could comprehend what was happening, the green pill floating before his eyes burst open. Simultaneously, a searing, tearing pain erupted deep within his primordial spirit, forcing him to cry out, collapse onto the ground, and writhe in continuous convulsions.

The green light that had enveloped Qu Hun vanished without a trace after the pill's explosion. Unimpeded, the light beams and arrows instantly swarmed, overwhelming Qu Hun.

Without its master's control, the small green sword's power rapidly diminished. It was forcefully suppressed by Han Li's Black Dragon Capture, looking as if it could give out at any moment.

Witnessing all this, Han Li was overjoyed!

He hadn't expected his risky strike to be so incredibly effective.

He hadn't used the Blood Spirit Drill to directly attack Qu Hun's heart or head because he was unsure if these areas would still be vital points for a body that was half zombie.

At best, it might only have severely wounded him, not killed him.

Thus, it was better to use the Blood Spirit Drill to attack the most troublesome green pill.

However, he had never imagined that the shattering of the green pill would cause such a significant problem for the opponent, leading to such a decisive defeat.

It seemed the green pill was deeply connected to his opponent's primordial spirit. No wonder his opponent had displayed such a desperate expression when spitting out the item to defend himself!

"Could it be the Golden Core his opponent had condensed during his Core Formation stage?" Han Li secretly wondered, a hint of mischief in his thoughts.

At that moment, Han Li waved his hand, and the puppets ceased their attack. He then peered carefully at his opponent.

Once the light dissipated, Han Li clearly saw a charred corpse lying on the ground. It hadn't been reduced to ashes by the attack, which genuinely surprised him.

Was it because Qu Hun's zombie body was different from that of an ordinary person?

Han Li gazed at the corpse, pondered for a moment, but did not approach immediately.

Instead, with a single sweep of his hand, five or six fist-sized fireballs materialized in the air. Then, Han Li softly uttered 'Go,' and the fireballs shot towards the corpse like crossbow bolts.

With a few 'poof' sounds, the charred remains burst into fierce flames under Han Li's watchful eye.

The instant the flames ignited, an egg-sized, emerald-green light sphere suddenly shot out from the raging fire and frantically darted away to one side.

Upon witnessing this, Han Li's face turned cold. With a flicker, he appeared behind the light sphere and swiftly lunged forward with one hand. As dazzling white light erupted from his palm, the green light sphere let out a shriek and was crushed to dust by Han Li's spiritual power-infused fingers.

Han Li then swayed back to Qu Hun's side. With a gentle flick of his sleeve, the flames consuming Qu Hun vanished without a trace.

"'Even Core Formation cultivators aren't so formidable. A simple illusion was enough to lure it out,' Han Li remarked with a cold smile, looking down at the charred Qu Hun."

Next, Han Li meticulously examined Qu Hun's injuries.

To his surprise, despite the completely charred exterior, Qu Hun's internal organs and bones were perfectly intact. This delighted Han Li immensely!

Although he knew Qu Hun was merely an empty shell, he had unconsciously come to view him as a loyal subordinate. He would naturally be overjoyed if Qu Hun could recover completely, especially since he had another plan that required Qu Hun's involvement.

So, Han Li retrieved the Soul-Guiding Bell and tapped it lightly. Instantly, Qu Hun, who had been lying on the ground, stood up straight, his opened eyes regaining their blank, wooden expression.

Han Li nodded. Although there were some superficial wounds, Qu Hun's zombie body possessed extraordinary regenerative capabilities, so he should recover quickly.

Han Li's gaze then shifted to the small, shimmering green sword floating in the air. Without its master, it was completely motionless.

Han Li first used the Black Dragon Capture to slowly bring it down. He then cautiously attempted to probe it with his divine sense, only to find himself unceremoniously blocked.

"'It truly seems to be as the legends claim,' Han Li thought with a hint of annoyance. 'Without Core Formation stage cultivation, it's impossible to use any unmastered magic treasure.'"

For now, this magic treasure could only be admired from afar.

Nevertheless, Han Li remained greatly interested in the magic treasure. After a cautious attempt, he finally felt assured enough to pick it up and examine it closely.

The short sword itself was only an inch and a half long. Without its master's spiritual energy infusion, its radiance had significantly dimmed, yet it still emanated a faint, chilling aura, enhancing its unusual beauty.

Furthermore, two small ancient characters were inscribed on the sword's blade. Upon closer inspection, Han Li couldn't help but softly read them aloud.

"Green Radiance."

Han Li, captivated, admired it for a while before reluctantly placing the 'Green Radiance Sword' carefully into his storage pouch. After all, this was the first magic treasure he had ever acquired!

Han Li then looked around once more, checking for anything he might have missed. Scattered green specks on the ground quickly caught his attention.

Upon closer inspection, he realized they were fragments of the green pill that had been shattered by the Blood Spirit Drill. Although broken, their radiance remained undiminished.

He stepped forward, bent down, and gently picked up the particles.

Although he didn't know their purpose, Han Li wasn't about to leave them behind. He suspected these fragments were related to a Core Formation cultivator's Golden Core.
