Chapter 2312: True Immortal Descends Fish Monster

Han Li raised an eyebrow, then glanced at the bat swarm before him. He stretched a palm out from his sleeve and lightly made a slapping motion.

With a muffled "boom," the spiritual energy within a hundred-li radius violently trembled. Countless strands of five-colored light mist appeared out of thin air, furiously condensing upwards into a mass. In an instant, it transformed into a five-colored giant palm the size of a small mountain, aggressively pressing down into the bat swarm.

The nearby void was suddenly enveloped by an indescribably immense force.

The densely packed ordinary blood bats exploded into a mist of blood even before the giant palm truly descended.

As for the transparent giant wave, it instantly dissipated into nothingness under this immense pressure.

Only the giant bat let out an angry, low roar. The golden patterns on its body lit up brightly, suddenly seemed to come alive, erupting from within its body and forming a layer of golden light that enveloped and protected it.

But under the immense pressure, the golden light barrier violently trembled and distorted. The giant bat inside was flattened like the character "大" (big), utterly unable to move.

"Quite interesting, an innate body-protection ability!" Han Li mumbled with a hint of surprise and regret. "What a pity it's still too weak; otherwise, I could have taken it as a spirit beast."

Then, he remotely pointed a finger at the five-colored giant palm once more!

Immediately, the giant palm's surface radiated with countless rays of light. As its volume expanded, it grew even larger by several points.

After a "boom," when the giant palm truly descended, the nearby void first darkened, then a halo of light burst forth amidst violent fluctuations.

The golden light barrier immediately shattered into countless fragments. The giant bat, without even a grunt, instantly disintegrated and ceased to exist.

Han Li smiled. He flicked his sleeve forward, and the five-colored giant palm trembled, then vanished into thin air.

The entire world instantly reverted to its original appearance.

However, where the giant bat had been, faint golden patterns shimmered in and out of view.

Han Li narrowed his eyes and instinctively raised a hand to beckon.

With a whooshing sound, those golden patterns, drawn by a suction force, shot towards him one after another and all flashed, landing in his palm.

Han Li's gaze swept over them. He put his hands together and rubbed the golden patterns between them.

Immediately, a strange metallic rubbing sound came from between his fingers, and golden light wildly flickered within.

But when Han Li separated his hands again, a shimmering golden beast hide strikingly appeared there.

The light golden patterns on the beast hide were precisely the shiny golden patterns that had been on the giant bat.

"This material should have some value if refined into a defensive magic tool," Han Li muttered to himself. "This way, today wasn't entirely without gain." With a flip of his hand, the beast hide disappeared.

Then his expression shifted, as if he sensed something. Blue light flashed in his eyes, and his gaze pierced hundreds of miles away to see a vast, dark cloud of unknown monstrous birds rushing madly towards him.

Han Li's gaze sharpened. He clearly saw the monstrous birds' appearance: they were eagle-like monsters, each with four wings on its back and a single horn on its head. Each was incredibly ferocious, with bloodthirsty eyes.

Han Li frowned. He withdrew his gaze. After glancing at the large area of fresh red blood mist that had not yet completely dissipated below the small mountain, he shook his head. With a flash of green light around his body, he transformed into a startling rainbow and tore through the air, leaving the area.

Although the monstrous birds were nothing to him, he had no intention of dealing with endless waves of beasts attracted by the scent of blood.

If he had the time, it was naturally more important to focus on finding the Asura Spider!

Time passed quickly. Two days passed in the blink of an eye.

During this period, besides killing several seemingly powerful demonic creatures and discovering some materials rare in the outside world, Han Li had no other significant gains.

As for the materials he obtained, apart from two unknown poisonous herbs, the other items, though rare, were not of much use to his current cultivation level. He could only save them to reward a few of his disciples.

But when the third day arrived, in a valley covered with black stones, Han Li finally discovered something related to the Asura Spider.

He was now standing in a hidden beast lair in a corner of the valley. Inside, there were several strange beasts resembling both humans and bears. Each lay silently on the ground covered with dry grass. Their fur was snow-white, and their flesh was withered, almost to bones. Yet, there was not a single trace of injury on their bodies, as if they had all died of natural old age.

Han Li stood next to one of the half-naked beast corpses. After quietly observing for a while, he flicked his sleeve, and several fire snakes shot out, instantly reducing all the corpses to ashes.

Although these corpses vanished into thin air, faint flickering crystal light remained on the ground.

Han Li grabbed with one hand, and several unknown crystal threads, about a foot long, instantly appeared in his grasp. They were enveloped by a ball of green light from a distance.

With a thought, his divine sense swept over them!

Han Li's expression subtly changed. He moved an arm, and a finger silently entered the green light, touching one of the crystal threads.

A strange scene unfolded!

The seemingly translucent crystal thread suddenly flashed, and a layer of blue light immediately spread from his finger straight up his entire arm.

Wherever the blue light passed, the flesh and blood on his arm rapidly withered and shriveled at a visible speed. Simultaneously, a strange aura of aging emanated from it.

Han Li's expression darkened. He flicked his finger, and his fingertip instantly withdrew from the crystal thread. At the same time, golden light wildly flashed on his arm, and a stream of golden mist swept along his arm towards the front, forcibly scattering the spreading blue light with a single strike.

Simultaneously, a shimmering green light circulated on his arm once more, and it instantly recovered its original fullness and luster, as if the previous scene was merely a fleeting illusion.

"It truly is the power of time. While it cannot be called a true Law of Time, it is still an exceedingly rare innate divine ability. This place should already be within the Asura Spider's range of activity," Han Li muttered to himself, a hint of excitement flashing in his eyes after he let out a long breath.

Then, a green light flashed in his hand, and several crystal threads simultaneously vanished.

Although this item could not yet pose a threat to him, it was by no means something to be casually left exposed.

Next, Han Li flew out of the beast lair. Taking the valley as the center, he began to carefully search the surrounding area.

But several hours later, when he flew back to the valley, his face was clouded with gloom.

Evidently, his previous search had not been fruitful.

Han Li quietly hovered above the valley for a while, his face filled with contemplation.

He suddenly raised an eyebrow, as if he remembered something. With one hand, he formed an incantation gesture and released his divine sense to probe the ground beneath him. It instantly swept through depths of hundreds, then thousands of zhang underground, and without pause, it repeatedly probed even deeper.

After a full tea-burning stick's worth of time, Han Li's expression shifted, and a hint of joy appeared on his face. Then, his figure moved, and transforming into a streak of green light, he soared into the sky towards a certain direction.

When the escape light retracted!

Han Li appeared above a not-too-distant lake. He looked down twice, then his body moved, and he plunged downwards.

With a "plop"!

Han Li's escape light instantly submerged below the lake surface.

A moment later, a rumbling thunder sounded. The large lake surface was enveloped in golden electric light, and the lake water churned. Countless bizarre fish, one after another, churned out of the lake belly-up. Each was completely scorched black and appeared on the verge of death.

But after the thunder subsided, it became silent under the lake once more. For a time, it became like a dead lake.

At the same time, Han Li was already deep underground, in a crude passage several thousands of zhang deep. All around him were uneven, light blue stone blocks, and it could barely accommodate one person to pass through.

This passage was winding, leading directly to deeper parts underground.

This was the suspicious place Han Li had only accidentally discovered after his divine sense had repeatedly re-examined the area earlier.

This type of light blue stone should not be ordinary. The entire area beneath the lake was composed of this stone material, and even with Han Li's strong divine sense, he couldn't directly penetrate too deep underground.

This was also why, initially, he hadn't discovered this suspicious place.

However, when Han Li found another crystal thread on a protruding bluestone in this passage, all doubt vanished from his mind. Immediately, with a sway of his body, his escape speed quickened.

In one go, as he delved nearly ten thousand zhang deep underground, waves of scorching heat began to roll out from below the passage.

Its temperature was so high that if an ordinary being came into contact with it, they would likely instantly turn into a desiccated corpse.

Han Li completely ignored this heat. With just a faint flash of green light around his body, he pushed away the scorching air before him.

He then made several successive flashes, passing through several corners. Red light began to flash ahead, and faintly, rumbling roars and human voices could be heard.

Han Li narrowed his eyes. Without him seeming to make any movement, specks of spiritual light emerged on his body, and he gradually became indistinct, finally concealing his escape light.

After passing through a wave of fiery red flames, Han Li silently rushed out of the passage, appearing above an underground lava lake.

The lava in this lake churned continuously. Rolling hot waves and fire pillars as thick as bowls occasionally erupted from it, striking precisely at the passage exit, washing the nearby rocks completely smooth and abnormally fiery red.

What was even more surprising was that in the center of the lava lake, chunks of fiery red, translucent crystal stones were floating unsteadily in the lava.

Han Li's divine sense casually swept over them, and he knew that these crystal stones of various sizes were actually top-grade fire spirit stones, rarely seen in the outside world.

Judging by the terrifying fire spiritual energy contained within them, their purity seemed to be even superior to that of ordinary top-grade fire spirit stones in the Spirit Realm.

But none of this truly drew much attention from Han Li. He was currently silently observing a group of demonic creatures and a "woman" by the edge of the lava lake.

These demonic creatures each had a human upper body, a fish lower body, and four arms. The males wore golden rings on their arms, while the females had silver ribbons tied around their heads. Some had bare, fiery red fists, while others held fiery red short halberds, their bodies flickering faintly and continuously.

Not far opposite this group of fish-shaped monsters, a young woman, seemingly only twenty-one or twenty-two years old, was calmly facing the continuous roars directed at her.
