**Fairy of Wisdom**
I've been busy writing recently and haven't had much time for book reviews. I wonder how many of you still remember me, the Little Fairy. This piece is fan fiction, written somewhat hastily, so please feel free to point out any shortcomings.
**The Legend of Lei Yunzi (One)**
Han Li encountered countless risks on his journey back to the human race, and his gains were equally unimaginable.
Beyond the numerous rare materials he acquired deep within the desolate wilderness, the various secret techniques and spells he subtly learned from alien settlements he infiltrated along the way—techniques vastly different from human cultivation methods—also brought him immense benefits.
To avoid detection by the alien races, he always restricted his activities to the edges of their inhabited regions, entering only small towns where no high-ranking cultivators were stationed.
As a result, the risks were naturally minimized.
However, even with these precautions, not every journey was without incident. For example, during his visit to a small town inhabited by an alien race known as the "Ming" tribe, he unexpectedly encountered an alien who called himself "Lei Yunzi."
Recalling it, Han Li couldn't help but smile, feeling both love and hate for this Lei Yunzi.
At that time, forty years had passed since Han Li entered the desolate wilderness, and he had already reached the central region of Fengyuan Continent.
That day, Han Li, as usual, steered his escape light, swiftly traveling towards the human territory. A green blur flashed past, covering thousands of miles in an instant.
Suddenly, as if encountering something troublesome, Han Li frowned, stopped his escape light, and gazed into the distance.
In the vast wilderness, a small nation, spanning hundreds of thousands of miles, lay ahead. One could gaze endlessly without seeing its borders. What perplexed him further was the increasing intensity of the spatial restriction power.
After a brief thought, Han Li inwardly shook his head. A few miles further, he decisively abandoned aerial travel, descending onto the city wall of an unassuming small town adjacent to the small nation.
"It seems I'll have to walk the rest of the way. This might mean staying here for a few days. I hope everything goes smoothly," Han Li murmured to himself.
Han Li stood alone on a secluded street, watching the pedestrians, and sighed. He looked around, pondering whether to visit the nearby market to see if he could acquire some unique materials from this alien race.
"These aliens' clothing is truly peculiar! And their appearance differs greatly from normal people!" Han Li murmured to himself. Suddenly, his face blurred, transforming into the likeness of an alien walking nearby. His bones crackled audibly, and a pair of translucent, crystalline horns eerily sprouted from his head.
Han Li walked towards the main street. This street was not bustling, as was typical for streets in small towns, and he didn't mind. There weren't many shops along the street: a few material shops, occasional inns and daily necessities stores, and a few teahouses and taverns.
Han Li seemed somewhat disappointed as he shook his head. He stopped in front of a materials shop, looked for a moment, and then, still with a hint of disappointment, walked inside.
"Shopkeeper, what materials do you have? Let me see them," Han Li said, his face as calm as still water, betraying no hint of his thoughts.
A wizened old man with two yellow horns on his head heard the voice and idly glanced at Han Li, who had just entered. Noticing Han Li's spiritual energy fluctuations, which indicated he was a Foundation Establishment cultivator, even Han Li was taken aback. He hadn't expected a general store owner in such a small town to possess such a cultivation level.
The wizened old man's spiritual sense casually swept over Han Li, only to discover that he couldn't see through Han Li's cultivation level, causing a faint sense of alarm.
"Clatter!" The sound of a teapot falling to the ground was strikingly loud in the somewhat cool small shop.
"Senior, please come in. I never imagined that an esteemed senior like you would visit my humble shop; it's a great honor for this junior. By the way, here's the materials list, please have a look." The wizened old man trembled as he handed a bamboo slip to Han Li.
"Hmm, good. I'll take this Thunder Stone, Five-Thunder Wood... I'll take them all." Han Li tossed the bamboo slip back to the old man.
"Yes, I'll go prepare them right away." The old man scurried to the inner hall; these were valuable goods for a small shop and were kept in the warehouse, not displayed at the front desk. "Xiao Lan, please take good care of this Senior."
A small girl brought a pot of spiritual tea from the inner hall and respectfully placed it in front of Han Li, not forgetting to steal a glance at him. After all, the most powerful person she had ever seen was her grandfather, so anyone her grandfather addressed as 'Senior' must be extraordinary.
Han Li gave a half-smile.
Han Li picked up the teacup and carefully savored the alien spiritual tea. It had a distinct flavor he couldn't quite place, but it felt remarkably different.
Just as Han Li was marveling at the tea, a tall, burly man in leather armor walked past the doorway, seemingly in a great hurry as if something important had happened.
Han Li cast a casual glance, and his surprise was considerable: it was a Mid-Stage Void Refinement cultivator. He had never expected such a powerful practitioner to be present in a small town.
**The Legend of Lei Yunzi (Two)**
Even more bizarrely, Han Li sensed a powerful thunder and lightning force emanating from the burly man, a force he had never encountered before, and it seemed no weaker than his own Evil-Dispelling Divine Thunder.
It was well known that Han Li's Evil-Dispelling Divine Thunder was specifically designed to counter evil entities, and its power was formidable. Yet, the thunder and lightning force emanating from the burly man was so terrifying; how could Han Li not be surprised?
At this moment, the wizened old man excitedly brought a storage bag to Han Li, respectfully handing it over. The bag didn't contain many items, but every single one was the best material available in this small town.
Han Li took out a top-grade spirit stone and tossed it to the old man, smiling contentedly. However, to the old man, the smile seemed somewhat strange.
Han Li hung the storage bag on his waist, and without a word, walked out of the shop, heading towards another path leading to the city center, under the wizened old man's eager gaze.
Han Li idly strolled along the street without much thought. Suddenly, at a three-way intersection, a burly man in leather armor stood in the middle of the road, hands clasped behind his back, looking up at something unseen.
"Finally, you've arrived," the burly man said, a cryptic remark that left Han Li puzzled.
"Are you waiting for me?" Han Li quietly asked.
"Who are you, and what are you doing infiltrating Border Thunder City?" The burly man in leather armor suddenly turned and questioned him sternly.
"I don't need to explain so much. If you're sensible, please step aside. I don't wish to cause more trouble." Han Li had no desire to provoke conflict, as danger was omnipresent in alien territory.
"Good, very good. I sense a lightning attribute on you that is unique to my Thunder Race. You are not one of us. What are your intentions infiltrating our Thunder Race territory?" The burly man in leather armor, facing an alien in the late Void Refinement stage—a higher cultivation level than his own—showed no signs of fear.
"Hmph, since I've been discovered, I might as well make sure you rest in peace." A chill ran through Han Li's heart, and a murderous intent arose instantly.
A scent of gunpowder filled the tiny street.
"Good, no one has ever dared to be so insolent in front of this Venerable One. If you have the guts, let's fight to the death in the Thunder Ghost Desert outside." The burly man looked at Han Li with eyes that seemed to see a dead man, as if Han Li were his prey.
"I'll accompany you to the very end!" Han Li sneered inwardly. He had been pondering how to engage without alerting other cultivators in the city, so this proposal suited him perfectly.
Two dazzling escape lights, one white and one green, flew towards the vast desert.
"Are you still going to fly further?" Han Li asked the alien coldly.
"The desert scenery is quite good. Burying you in our Thunder Ghost Desert, a sacred place of my tribe, would be a fitting end for this alien," the burly man in leather armor said coldly.
The burly man in leather armor and Han Li stopped flying at this point, confronting each other in mid-air.
They stood in confrontation for a full half-hour without either making a move. Han Li and Lei Yunzi were both contemplating their combat strategies.
Suddenly, a gust of strong wind stirred up sand and dust in the desert.
"Crackling!" A dazzling white lightning bolt emerged from the burly man's hands. As he channeled it, the lightning slowly thickened, subtly forming a light sphere the size of a soccer ball.
Suddenly, the burly man in leather armor thrust his hands forward, and the lightning sphere shot towards Han Li with extraordinary speed.
"Not good!" Han Li's hand moved, and a small, spherical bead appeared in his palm. He swiftly threw the bead.
Han Li swiftly performed various hand seals. Crackling sounds ensued, and a pair of crystalline, feathered wings emerged from his back. With a single flap, Han Li vanished from his original position. Moments later, crackling sounds arose dozens of yards behind him, and he reappeared.
The bead and the lightning sphere finally collided with a loud 'boom.' Two arcs of lightning erupted, clearing the dust and forming a crater dozens of yards wide on the previously flat sandy ground.
As Han Li threw the bead, the burly man, at some unknown point, also flashed to a position over ten yards behind him.
"What was that bead just now? It actually blocked my Lei Yunzi White Thunder Sphere," Lei Yunzi said, looking somewhat surprised.
"Let's see the power of my divine thunder!" Han Li rubbed his hands together, and a blue-green lightning bolt appeared. Han Li began to chant incantations.
A bowl-sized, blue-green thunder dragon flew from Han Li's hand, charging menacingly towards Lei Yunzi, with the clear intent to deliver a fatal strike.
Lei Yunzi calmly watched the approaching thunder dragon. Without dodging, he confidently waved his hand.
A bizarre scene unfolded: just as the thunder dragon was about to strike Lei Yunzi, Lei Yunzi's body twisted, and the thunder dragon passed right through him, as if he were in a void.
The thunder dragon charged into a nearby sand dune, causing the entire dune to erupt with bursts of explosive sounds. In the blink of an eye, the hill-sized sand dune vanished into thin air, leaving behind only a large, charred-smelling crater.
**The Legend of Lei Yunzi (Three)**
Lei Yunzi looked at the large crater behind him, his face suddenly filled with astonishment. Han Li's surprise was arguably even greater; he had never witnessed anyone able to allow a lightning attack to pass through their body completely unharmed.
"It seems your lightning is also extraordinary. If I'm not mistaken, is it the Evil-Dispelling Divine Thunder?" Lei Yunzi said, unhurriedly.
Han Li coldly stared at Lei Yunzi, remaining silent.
"Hmph!" Lei Yunzi glared furiously at the arrogant Han Li. In his rage, he drew a strange circle with his hands. Two lightning bolts appeared, one red and one white—the red as vibrant as a scorching sun, the white as bright as a full moon. The two arcs of electricity merged in a peculiar manner, forming a small Qilin-like beast the size of a human head.
Under Lei Yunzi's continuous hand seals, the small beast charged straight towards Han Li with its head held high.
Han Li calmly formed hand seals, his hands twisting. Countless lightning bolts gathered between his palms, faintly forming a spherical, blue-green orb of light.
When the small beast charged to within a yard of Han Li, the pair of wings on Han Li's back flapped, and he strangely vanished from his spot.
About five yards above the small beast's head, crackling sounds resounded again, and a blue-green lightning sphere swiftly descended from Han Li's hand.
When the lightning sphere dropped onto the small beast's head, the beast opened its small mouth and swallowed the sphere.
"Haha, haha, lightning is ineffective against my two-colored beast thunder..." Lei Yunzi sneered, watching Han Li's every move from a distance in mid-air.
"Squeak, squeak, squeak." The small beast's body expanded and contracted, emitting strange friction sounds.
Suddenly, with a startling explosion, the small beast burst apart.
"How is this possible? My beast thunder was actually shattered. Good, very good, this is exhilarating!" Lei Yunzi couldn't conceal the wild joy in his heart.
Han Li had to use three layers of power from his Lightning Sacrifice Art just to barely break through Lei Yunzi's beast thunder attack. Even he was very surprised that someone could combine two types of lightning; this thunder control technique was in no way inferior to his own.
Han Li flicked his sleeve, and a white short ruler flew out, manifesting countless ruler shadows in mid-air. Dozens of green lights flashed, and seventy-two Azure Bamboo Swords emerged in quick succession, circling the white ruler. The old devil had unleashed two major killing weapons at once, clearly intending to defeat his opponent in a single strike.
Lei Yunzi, unfazed by the countless ruler and sword shadows before him, performed various hand seals. A strange five-colored aura materialized around his body, with spiritual light flickering in red, yellow, blue-green, blue, and white.
Lei Yunzi continuously drew circles around himself with his hands, and the five-colored spiritual light around his body continuously intensified. In the blink of an eye, Lei Yunzi was completely engulfed by the five-colored spiritual light.
Han Li formed hand seals, and the white ruler shadows multiplied ceaselessly—one becoming ten, then tens becoming... thousands upon thousands of shadows danced in the air. Han Li pointed towards the five-colored spiritual light, and countless ruler shadows, like a stampede of ten thousand horses, surged forth furiously towards Lei Yunzi's position.
The ruler shadows completely engulfed Lei Yunzi, mercilessly piercing towards him, almost turning Lei Yunzi into a hornet's nest.
The old devil observed with cold eyes, yet there wasn't a trace of a smile on his face, because through the mental connection with the Primal Chaos Ruler, he didn't feel as though he had struck a solid target.
As the ruler shadows passed right through and then transformed back into the original white short ruler, flying back into Han Li's hand, Han Li's expression became extremely awkward.
At this moment, the five-colored aura that Lei Yunzi had transformed into still floated safely in mid-air, seemingly completely unharmed.
Suddenly, the five-colored light changed, bursting open and transforming into countless five-colored small swords. Hundreds of thousands of these small swords surged and danced wildly around Lei Yunzi. Each small sword was wrapped in a five-colored electric arc, giving Han Li an unprecedented sense of danger.
Han Li swept his left hand, and a dark, small mountain flew out, rapidly growing larger. A deep gray spiritual light shot forth, completely engulfing Han Li.
Han Li again performed strange hand seals. The seventy-two Azure Bamboo Cloudswarm Swords rapidly arrayed themselves into a net-like grid between him and Lei Yunzi. With a light tap, countless electric arcs leaped from the flying swords, forming an impenetrable electric net that completely shielded Han Li. Han Li swept his right hand, and an ancient, small cauldron floated and spun behind the electric net.
These seemingly complex actions were actually completed in the blink of an eye.
As soon as Han Li finished setting up his defensive net, Lei Yunzi also launched his attack. Initially, thousands of five-colored lightning swords plunged into the electric net, and the net's blue-green electric arcs tangled with the five-colored lightning swords.
Han Li pointed a finger at the small cauldron in front of him. Thousands of green threads streamed out from the cauldron, coiling around the five-colored lightning swords. These thousands of green threads passed through the lightning net, tightly binding the five-colored lightning swords and pulling them back. In a flash, thousands of lightning swords were thus collected into the cauldron.
Han Li raised an eyebrow. In truth, he wasn't sure if he could use the small cauldron to collect the lightning swords. He had only tried it out of curiosity, and he hadn't expected it to be so effective.
Lei Yunzi seemed to have expected this. The expression on his face showed no change whatsoever.
**The Legend of Lei Yunzi (Four)**
He began to spin, and the five-colored small swords around his body also started revolving in a peculiar formation along with Lei Yunzi, intensifying with each rotation.
Suddenly, Lei Yunzi's spinning motion abruptly stopped, yet the five-colored small swords continued to rotate around him in an incredible manner.
Lei Yunzi raised his hands, and the small swords around him rapidly condensed into five massive five-colored swords. Streams of light flashed within the giant swords, clearly indicating countless smaller swords constantly moving within them according to some rule.
Lei Yunzi continuously pointed at one of the giant swords. The tip of the first giant sword aimed at the electric net ahead and shot out without hesitation.
The giant sword crashed into the electric net. Clanging sounds echoed ceaselessly as its sharp point relentlessly struck, and the blue-green electric net appeared to be on the verge of collapsing.
Han Li pointed again, and tens of thousands of green threads once again flew out from the small cauldron, swiftly moving towards the giant sword before him. At this point, the tip of the gleaming giant sword had already pierced the blue-green electric net, but the giant sword itself had also diminished significantly in size.
The green threads heavily enveloped the giant sword. Han Li pointed at the small cauldron again, and the giant sword hummed and disintegrated, transforming into tens of thousands of five-colored light mists. However, each mist was entangled by several green threads, unable to escape their bindings, and was finally collected into the small cauldron.
Lei Yunzi was astonished, never expecting the small cauldron to be so miraculous. He gritted his teeth and continuously poured spiritual energy into the two giant swords surrounding him. Amidst a burst of flowing light, the four giant swords transformed again, becoming two giant swords over three zhang (approx. 10 meters) long, shimmering with dazzling light.
He threw both of them towards Han Li's location, and the two three-zhang giant swords charged forward with the force of a thunderbolt.
Han Li was unsure if he could stop these two giant swords. He frantically activated the Azure Bamboo Sword Net before him, unleashing almost all of the remaining divine thunder on it. Strands of electricity, denser than before, coursed through the thunder net.
The giant swords collided with the sword net once again. Countless lightning bolts continuously surged towards the giant swords' tips. Time passed bit by bit as the lightning on the sword net and the giant swords continuously eroded each other, and explosive sounds were incessant.
The second giant sword finally penetrated the lightning net. However, countless green threads flew out from the small cauldron again, engulfing it.
Seeing all this, Lei Yunzi swiftly threw out his last giant sword, sending it flying towards the gap in the sword net.
The lightning power on the sword net had been mostly depleted; how could it possibly withstand such an impact again?
As the giant sword penetrated the sword net, the net once again transformed into seventy-two small swords, floating in the air, their surface glow appearing somewhat dim.
The small cauldron and the largely diminished giant sword were still entangled.
Lei Yunzi commanded the third giant sword to viciously stab into the deep gray aura.
The giant sword struck the black small mountain, emitting an earth-shattering explosion that shook the ground. The enormous impact wave created a massive crater, over a zhang (approx. 3.3 meters) deep, in the sand below.
The gleaming giant sword transformed into thousands of five-colored small swords. In the previous strike, it had lost seventy percent of its power. The remaining five-colored smaller ones were still flying around the slightly dimmed gray aura.
A deep gash was clearly visible on the black small mountain, indicating that the mountain had also sustained considerable damage.
"Hmph, to break through my triple defense—the sword net, divine cauldron, and divine mountain—your reputation is indeed well-deserved. No wonder you possess such audacity to challenge me." Han Li, enraged, stared at Lei Yunzi and laughed sardonically.
Han Li formed hand seals and continuously pointed at the divine mountain. Streams of pure spiritual energy flowed into the divine mountain, and the gash on it visibly healed.
Under Han Li's activation, the divine mountain emitted several strands of gray light, which waved and swirled around. The gray threads continuously countered and dispersed the five-colored small swords swirling around them.
The last five-colored small sword was finally completely consumed by the divine mountain's gray light.
By this time, the small cauldron had already collected the other gleaming giant sword, but it seemed to have reached its limit. Han Li flicked both sleeves, and the short ruler, small cauldron, and flying swords returned one by one, being put away by him.
He then flipped his right hand again, and a broken, incomplete blade slid into his palm. He was actually going to use the Profound Severing Blade to deal with a Mid-Stage Void Refinement cultivator, who was lower in cultivation than himself—this was something he hadn't anticipated.
His three previous treasures couldn't faze the opponent, making him realize that he couldn't defeat them without revealing his ultimate killing weapon.
Lei Yunzi was in no better shape. His 'Ten Thousand Swords Return to One Thunder Divine Ability' was already one of his ultimate moves, yet it couldn't defeat his opponent. He knew that another divine ability of similar attack power would also be ineffective, and moreover, his remaining spiritual power wouldn't allow him to use such a powerful divine ability again. He feared that forcing it would harm his vital energy, leaving Lei Yunzi feeling somewhat helpless.
Han Li threw the broken blade into the air, continuously forming hand seals with both hands. A three-headed, six-armed Dharma Idol appeared behind him. The Dharma Idol grasped the broken blade, and a golden light rapidly circulated on the blade. In an instant, the originally broken blade became completely whole.
**The Legend of Lei Yunzi (Five)**
Lei Yunzi saw Han Li's action and was immensely surprised, sensing the surrounding earthly vital energy continuously stirring. "This is terrifying. Could it be a Profound treasure?" His shock was considerable.
Lei Yunzi hastily formed hand seals, and bursts of lightning continuously surged from his hands. The lightning landed at his feet, quickly spreading out below, forming a dazzling lightning formation. Silver runes floated and pulsed above the formation.
Han Li watched Lei Yunzi's actions, and nonchalantly swung his blade down. A law-force that seemed to cleave through everything emanated from the broken blade, almost shattering the surrounding space. The fractured space continuously extended towards Lei Yunzi's formation. Finally, after a flash of white light, the space healed as before, but Lei Yunzi was nowhere to be found.
Han Li stared blankly at the empty void before him.
"What happened? Where is he? Was that light formation a teleportation array?" The bizarre scene made it difficult for Han Li to believe. His spiritual power was also considerably depleted, and he had a strange feeling in his heart that, if possible, he would like to stop fighting.
Han Li didn't know what this feeling was. Perhaps it was because he had always been unmatched among his peers, and now he had encountered a worthy opponent. Perhaps he was truly too lonely.
"Haha, Brother Han, I must say, your abilities are truly extraordinary! I haven't had such an exhilarating fight in a long time. I, Lei, am utterly impressed. How about we call it a draw?" At some unknown point, dozens of yards to Han Li's right, crackling lightning sounds resumed, and a burly man in leather armor appeared within a lightning formation.
"Brother Lei, I was just thinking the same." Han Li gave a half-smile: "That formation of yours is quite formidable; to think it could evade my broken treasure's strike."
"It seems I, Lei, really didn't guess wrong. If we continue, it will only result in both of us being heavily injured." Lei Yunzi flicked his sleeve, and the lightning formation beneath his feet crackled and dispersed, genuinely showing an intention to cease fighting.
Seeing this, Han Li formed hand seals, and his Dharma Idol flashed, merging back into his body. The broken blade floated back, disappearing into his sleeve.
"May I ask, Brother Han, which race do you belong to? And what are your intentions in coming to my Ming tribe? Could you perhaps enlighten me?" Lei Yunzi asked cautiously, still unable to completely relax.
"Brother Lei is indeed observant. I am a human cultivator, currently on my way back to the inner realms. I was merely passing through your esteemed tribe and had no intention of causing trouble, which is why I was disguised. I didn't expect Brother Lei to discover me," Han Li said sincerely, without the slightest concealment.
"So, it was a misunderstanding after all. I apologize for any offense given earlier. As the saying goes, 'we became friends through fighting.' How about this: you accompany me to my residence to rest for a while? I have many cultivation questions I'd like to ask you." Lei Yunzi spoke directly, not concealing his intentions.
"This... then I shall trouble Brother Lei." Han Li said with a slight shift in expression after a moment of hesitation.
The two flew back to the small town together and recuperated there for over half a month.
Half a month later, they went to a teahouse and enthusiastically discussed their battle from that day.
"By the way, Brother Han, that lightning sphere that suddenly appeared from your hand was incredibly powerful. What was it called?" Lei Yunzi couldn't help but ask about the divine ability from that day.
"It's nothing much. It's just a Lightning Sacrifice Art I coincidentally obtained from someone else. Your formation, Brother Lei, is truly miraculous, to be able to instantly teleport using lightning," Han Li said sincerely.
"How about this: we exchange? You can learn my formation, and I can learn your Lightning Sacrifice Art. What do you say we trade?" Lei Yunzi unconsciously salivated, his eagerness evident.
Han Li looked at Lei Yunzi's eager, slightly comical expression, and could only secretly deem him shameless.
"Alright, then let's both record our secret techniques onto jade slips and exchange them," Han Li suggested after a moment's thought.
"Excellent, excellent!" Lei Yunzi immediately nodded his head so vigorously it almost touched the ground.
Lei Yunzi and Han Li then recorded their respective secret techniques and exchanged them, both eagerly inspecting their new acquisitions.
"Truly excellent," Han Li thought, secretly delighted. As he was examining it, Lei Yunzi gave a peculiar smile.
"Indeed formidable," Lei Yunzi said, wildly pleased, as he put away the jade slip. The moment he put it away, Han Li gave a half-smile.
"By the way, Brother Han, when are you returning to the human race? It's a long journey from here, fraught with countless dangers. Shall I, Lei, accompany you for a while?" Lei Yunzi said with an air of noble righteousness.
"Thank you for your kind offer, Brother Lei. I'm accustomed to traveling alone. I'll be leaving tomorrow," Han Li said, gratefully declining Lei Yunzi's offer.
"Alright then, I, Lei, will accompany you out of the Ming tribe tomorrow. No one within the tribe will stop you. The rest will be up to you," Lei Yunzi said after a moment's thought.
During their subsequent conversation, the two exchanged some cultivation experiences. In the blink of an eye, night fell.
Early the next morning, a green-robed youth and a burly man in leather armor left the small town, heading into the Ming tribe's territory.
Along the way, their unusual actions still attracted the attention of many high-ranking Ming tribe members. However, Lei Yunzi managed to defuse the situations with just a few words, indicating his significant status within the Ming tribe. Yet, Han Li did not seem inclined to ask further about any of it.
Half a month later, an escape light flew away from the Ming tribe, shooting towards the direction of the human race.
On the watchtower of a small town in the Ming tribe, a burly man in leather armor gazed with a sense of loss as the green blur vanished from his sight, lingering there for a long time, reluctant to leave.
