Chapter 2055: Demon Clan Auction

Han Li gazed for a moment, his eyebrow twitching. With a soft popping sound, a wisp of silver flame spontaneously emerged from his fingertip, enveloping the small strand of green mist.

But no matter how fiercely the silver flame burned, the green mist remained completely unchanged on his fingertip, seemingly oblivious to its presence.

Han Li's expression subtly changed. He flicked his finger, and the silver flame dissipated into thin air. Then, with a flex and a flick, the wisp of green mist instantly shot out as a green streak, flashing through the light barrier on the wall as if utterly indestructible.

Han Li was slightly startled by this sight.

He had merely intended to cast off this nameless green mist from his body, but with just a slight application of his magical power, it exhibited such terrifying might.

As he was feeling somewhat astonished and suspicious, a ripple suddenly appeared before him with a loud whooshing sound. The green streak mysteriously materialized from thin air, shooting directly towards Han Li.

Han Li was naturally startled, but his hand moved without hesitation. His palm flashed with golden light, and he snatched the incoming green streak into his grasp.

The next moment, his face grew even more troubled. He spread his fingers, revealing an empty palm.

The green streak had, in fact, disregarded the strength of his physical body, penetrating his palm without any resistance.

Han Li's spiritual sense stirred, and he immediately inspected the inside of his body.

He found that the wisp of green mist was obediently resting in his Dantian, showing no further unusual movement.

Han Li's brows furrowed. He raised a hand, channeling his magical power, and a vast surge of True Essence immediately enveloped the green mist, attempting to expel it from his body once more.

This time, as soon as the green mist moved a few feet away from his body, it blurred and shot back again.

The True Essence that enveloped it could not hinder it in the slightest!

Han Li's heart tensed. Golden light burst from his body's surface, and his protective spiritual light instantly condensed into a golden barrier. At the same time, his eyes blazed with blue light as he stared intently at the incoming green streak.

With a soft hiss, the protective golden light was seemingly bypassed by the green streak in a flash.

A wisp of green mist mysteriously appeared in his Dantian.

Seeing this outcome, Han Li was truly somewhat horrified.

In the time that followed, no matter what methods or divine abilities he used, he couldn't isolate the green mist, let alone eliminate or refine it.

This wisp of green mist seemed to have chosen his body as its abode. No matter how far it was forced out, or what kind of restriction was used to seal it, it would instantly vanish into thin air and return to his body.

It was like a maggot clinging to bone!

When Han Li used the Purple Scripture Cauldron, a treasured item, and still couldn't contain this mysterious wisp of green mist, his expression became extremely grim!

Although he couldn't currently discern any harm this green mist posed to his body, he was unwilling to allow such an anomaly to reside safely within him.

This thing returned precisely every time; he couldn't escape it no matter how he dodged. It seemed to have locked onto his soul imprint. If that were the case, he only had one last method to try.

Han Li pondered with a solemn expression. He formed a hand seal with both hands and began to chant.

As the incantation sounded, the three-headed, six-armed Dharma Idol that had originally appeared behind him glowed with golden light, transforming into a corporeal entity and floating leisurely in mid-air.

Han Li let out a low cry, and one of his palms struck the top of his head like lightning.

With a muffled thud, a mass of black light shot out, instantly vanishing into the golden body.

Within the black light, a faintly visible, entirely black infant could be seen—it was Han Li's second Demonic Infant.

At this point, Han Li pointed a finger at the golden body in the air and urged the True Essence within his body.

The green streak shot out again in response. It flashed and also merged into the golden body, entering the second Demonic Infant's form, likewise remaining still in its Dantian.

This time, the wisp of green mist obediently stayed there, showing no signs of returning to Han Li's main body.

Seeing this situation, Han Li let out a long breath, his expression finally showing a hint of relief.

However, he didn't stop there. He then flicked his fingers repeatedly, sending out streams of incantations towards the golden body.

The Demonic Infant, residing within the golden body, appeared to be sitting still, but as demonic energy surged within it, it transformed into black talismans. These talismans instantly enveloped the wisp of green mist, condensing into a black crystal sphere and sealing it within.

Then, the golden body shattered and vanished into thin air, and the second Demonic Infant directly materialized.

The Demonic Infant's expression was calm. It joined and separated its hands, and the black crystal sphere silently appeared, which it then embraced.

Afterward, it descended from the air, transforming into a ball of black light and merging into Han Li's body.

Han Li briefly checked the condition of the second Demonic Infant. After confirming everything was fine, he truly felt at ease.

Although the green mist couldn't be completely expelled for now, it should be harmless under the control of his second Demonic Infant. Once he found a way to remove or refine it, the problem would be permanently resolved.

However, during this period, the Demonic Infant could not be easily used, to prevent any further changes from the green mist.

Han Li's thoughts swirled, and his gaze flickered, returning to the cluster of light enveloped in golden script.

The portion he had just absorbed was less than a tenth of the entire light cluster, yet his True Essence had increased as if he had diligently cultivated for seven or eight years. If the entire light cluster were transformed into True Essence, it would save him over a hundred years of cultivation time.

With such astonishing effects, he naturally couldn't give it up.

After a brief moment of thought, Han Li flicked his sleeve. A golden light flew out, revealing a glittering, slender-necked ancient vase.

The vase inverted, and from its mouth, a five-colored mist sprayed out, sucking in the grayish-white light cluster.

Finally, the vase moved and flew into Han Li's sleeve, where it was carefully put away. He had already made a decision: although this crystal bead had a very peculiar origin, he must search for more of them in the Demon Realm in the future. If he could find enough, and also resolve the lingering issue of the mysterious green mist, his cultivation might swiftly reach the late-stage Grand Perfection of the Integration Realm.

In that case, this was naturally an immense stroke of luck.

Han Li mused, secretly excited. He raised a hand and picked up the crystal bead that had emitted the grayish-white light cluster. After probing it with his spiritual sense, he found it was completely empty; all of that mysterious energy had been expended.

After a slight hesitation, he still put the crystal bead, along with the two halves of the Strange Demonic Gold, into his storage bracelet.

He might still have a chance to find the true origin of that grayish-white light cluster from these items.

However, even though that grayish-white light cluster had the miraculous effect of directly transforming into cultivation True Essence, it was likely only useful for someone who cultivated a special technique like Han Li's "Sutra of the Holy Brahma True Demon." Other cultivation methods that could simultaneously convert both spiritual and demonic energies, even if they existed in the entire Demon Realm, would be exceedingly rare. Moreover, it was even rarer for cultivators of such unique techniques to also possess a spiritual eye ability like Han Li, allowing them to discover the crystal bead's existence and, through a fortunate coincidence, trigger that subtle mysterious sensation in their divine sense, thus detecting the energy within the bead.

Han Li was very satisfied with today's gains. After checking everything, he began to meditate on the spot, closing his eyes to restore his energy.

He planned to visit all the shops in Blood Raven City within the next few days.

Firstly, to see if he could find other beneficial items. Secondly, to check if similar crystal beads could be found in other pieces of Strange Demonic Gold.

The night passed without incident.

Early the next morning, Han Li calmly left his dwelling and began slowly inspecting the shops along the streets of Blood Raven City, one by one.

Although Blood Raven City couldn't compare to a human city in the conventional sense, it still had thousands of shops.

He spent a full two days just to visit a small portion of the shops.

Among them, he had several unexpected gains and found some Strange Demonic Gold, but there was no trace of similar crystal beads or the mysterious energy they contained.

No second crystal bead was found in any of the other Strange Demonic Gold pieces. He had no idea how the original crystal bead came to be inside the Strange Demonic Gold.

Han Li, however, was not particularly discouraged by this.

After all, items that could directly enhance cultivation and True Essence typically required a great stroke of luck to obtain.

If he could easily find many more in the city, it would instead make him suspicious.

However, Han Li easily gathered information about an upcoming auction in the city.

This auction was a routine event held every six months in Blood Raven City. Each time, numerous high-level demon cultivators, either staying or passing through, would put up many rare items for auction, and quite a few treasures had appeared in the past.

In particular, some individuals who had reaped great rewards in the grasslands would directly auction off useless demon beast materials in Blood Raven City. They would then exchange them for useful demonic artifacts and elixirs before re-entering the grasslands to continue hunting various demon beasts, thus saving a lot of time.

This time, due to the unexpected outbreak of the beast tide, the number of high-level demon cultivators who flocked into the city far exceeded usual. This also meant that the quality and quantity of items at this auction would far surpass all previous ones.

It was said that several Heaven-reaching Demonic Artifacts and several legendary treasures and materials, rarely seen even in rumors, would appear.

Han Li was naturally quite interested in this and planned to attend the auction on time.

Firstly, he wanted to see if there was anything he desired at the auction. Secondly, he intended to auction off several useless demonic artifacts he possessed to exchange for some demonic stones.

Although these demonic stones were basically useless for his cultivation, since he planned to stay in the Demon Realm for decades, acquiring some was still necessary.

The auction was set for three days after he received the news. Therefore, by the time he had visited most of the shops in the city, the auction had commenced on time.

The location was a massive hall in a corner of Blood Raven City.

Han Li found a cloak that could conceal his appearance. After slightly altering his aura, he casually handed a few demonic stones to the demon guards at the entrance, then followed the numerous demon cultivators into the auction house.

The entire auction house was circular, shaped like a stepped funnel from top to bottom, appearing incredibly rugged.

Inside the venue, apart from circular green stone stools, there was only a dark, square stone platform in the center. The surrounding walls were inscribed with patterns of strange, unidentifiable beasts.

Although the venue seemed quite large, within just fifteen minutes, it was densely packed with high-level demon cultivators, numbering as many as three to four thousand.

Many of these high-level demon cultivators present, like Han Li, wore cloaks or directly obscured their original faces with swirling demonic energy.

This allowed Han Li to remain inconspicuous among them.

A little while later, when there was almost no empty seat left in the entire venue, a light cough sounded.

A small door below the hall slid open, and a figure emerged from within, slowly walking towards the square stone platform in the center.

The somewhat noisy venue instantly became completely silent.
