Chapter 1970: Wind Evil and the Great Divination Method

**Volume 10: War of the Demon Realm**

The Nascent Soul, whose face closely resembled Han Li's, immediately made a gesture with its small hand towards the physical body below after appearing.

With a thunderous crack, a spherical object wrapped in countless golden threads flew out from Han Li's body. After circling once, it stopped in mid-air.

The Nascent Soul extended a fair, delicate finger and gently pointed at it.

Instantly, an electric flash appeared on the surface of the sphere, followed by loud crackling sounds. The countless golden threads shattered inch by inch, revealing the sealed milky-white wooden box within.

A faint smile appeared at the corners of the Nascent Soul's tiny mouth as it muttered incantations. Ripples formed nearby, and over a dozen five-colored orbs silently emerged. With a flash of spiritual light, they transformed into strange, eye-like spheres, their surfaces glowing brightly with five-colored radiance.

An hour later, above a vast, boundless grassland, a clone formed from a wisp of Han Li's divine sense appeared in the low sky.

He first scanned his surroundings. Seeing no trace of Che Qigong, his expression subtly shifted, and he suddenly looked up towards the high sky.

Ten thousand feet up, a scorching sun emitted a searing white light, appearing incredibly hot.

Han Li stared at the blazing sun without blinking, his face expressionless and silent.

After the time it takes to eat a meal, an unfamiliar male voice suddenly boomed with laughter from high above:

"Tsk tsk, as expected, you are no ordinary individual. A mere divine sense clone can detect my presence. No wonder Old Freak Che placed his hopes on you and was willing to cooperate with you."

As soon as the voice faded, a black shadow flickered within the scorching sun. A ball of black light shot out from it, and with a flash, it suddenly appeared a dozen zhang away from Han Li.

It was a burly man clad in black armor with a full beard.

He had a smile on his face and immediately began scrutinizing Han Li from head to toe, appearing greatly intrigued.

"Who are you, and where is Senior Che?" Han Li's heart tightened at the sight, but he asked with unusual composure.

"Old Freak Che is currently occupied with an important matter, so it might take him some time to get here from below. How about you and I have a chat first, Fellow Daoist Han?" The burly man said, blinking and stroking his beard.

"Chat with you? I don't seem to recognize you, Fellow Daoist, nor have I ever heard Senior Che mention the existence of anyone else in this Devil Suppressing Lock," Han Li replied slowly after narrowing his eyes and observing the burly man for a moment.

"Old Freak Che naturally wouldn't mention my existence. However, what I can tell you is that whatever he can offer you for cooperation, I can offer too. And I demand a lower price," the burly man said with extreme confidence.

"Oh, then please tell me, Fellow Daoist," Han Li replied noncommittally, his expression subtly shifting.

"It's simple. Old Freak Che is trading with you using the method of extracting and refining Chaos Qi, isn't he? Coincidentally, I also know this art. I won't ask for half of the Chaos Qi you extract; as long as you give me one-third, I can make this deal with you," the burly man said without hesitation.

"That sounds appealing, but I, Han, have already made a heart-demon vow to Senior Che, so I'm afraid I cannot easily break my promise." Han Li's expression changed several times before he finally shook his head.

"Heh heh, haven't you, Fellow Daoist Han, yet received the method for using Chaos Qi from Old Freak Che? How can that be considered breaking a vow?" The burly man seemed to have anticipated this, saying with a yawn as he raised his head.

"While there's some truth to that, I've never had any contact with you, Fellow Daoist. To expect me to break a vow based on a few words seems a bit too childish!" Han Li spoke lightly, though his thoughts were unknown.

"Since I've appeared here, I will naturally convince you to trust me. Setting everything else aside, I will immediately inform you of the method to extract Chaos Qi from this Devil Suppressing Lock. Moreover, afterward, I can offer you even greater benefits!" The burly man said with a sly glint in his eyes.

"Other benefits?" Han Li's heart stirred, and a hint of hesitation appeared on his face.

But at that moment, rumbling sounds suddenly echoed through the surrounding void. Immediately after the verdant grassland beneath him blurred, the entire scenery abruptly shifted, transforming into a sandy wasteland filled with swirling yellow dust.

Simultaneously, dark clouds gathered in the sky, and countless streaks of silver lightning danced wildly.

"Impossible! How could that old fellow break free so quickly?" The burly man's expression changed, and he gasped.

Han Li was also taken aback by the sight.

But the next moment, a voice filled with escalating fury rumbled from within the dark clouds.

"Feng Xie, how dare you secretly attack me? Do you really think I'll let this go?!"

It was Che Qigong's voice, shaking the entire sky and making it hum.

Immediately, the dark clouds in the sky churned violently, instantly condensing into a massive, hundred-zhang-long black hand that menacingly reached down towards the burly man.

Before it could firmly grasp him, an immense force descended from the sky.

Han Li felt the air around him tighten, and his divine sense clone became completely immobilized.

Under this power, the sandy ground spanning an acre "boomed" and sank several zhang deep, creating a terrifying pit out of thin air.

The burly man, standing in the center of the sand pit, his face slightly changed, shrugged his shoulders. A sheet of black light instantly burst forth from his armor.

The moment the immense force made contact, it was deflected by another unknown energy, dispersing most of its power. The man's body only swayed slightly before he calmly regained his balance.

"Qianji Great Art! You've actually mastered this divine ability! No wonder you dared to do something like this. Good, very good. Then let this old man gauge the depth of this divine ability!" Che Qigong seemed surprised for a moment, but then he roared even more furiously.

As soon as his voice fell, the black clouds in the high sky churned again, vaguely forming a massive demonic effigy with three heads and six arms, which ominously prepared to pounce from above.

"Stop! Don't you want the Chaos Qi anymore?" The burly man's face darkened as he waved his hand and shouted at the sky.

"Once I've dealt with you, the Chaos Qi will naturally be mine," the demonic effigy in the sky said, its eyes flashing fiercely. As its six arms moved, clumps of black energy immediately appeared in its demonic hands. With a spin, they instantly transformed into six hazy, gigantic spheres of light, appearing ready to be hurled at any moment.

"Hmph, do you really think you can extract Chaos Qi from the Devil Suppressing Lock so easily using your method?" The burly man said faintly, a strange expression on his face.

"What do you mean by that?! The method for extracting Chaos Qi from the Devil Suppressing Lock was already researched years ago by a few of us working together! Are you trying to alarm me, deliberately using these words to stall for time?!" The demonic effigy in the sky paused its movements, but its voice, almost a roar, continued.

"Why would I need to stall for time? Do you truly believe that I, who have mastered the Qianji Great Art, would still fear you? I merely don't wish for us to suffer mutual destruction here. As for the truth of what I just said, if you didn't have even a hint of worry in your heart, why would you have willingly stopped your attack?" The burly man chuckled, speaking nonchalantly.

After hearing the burly man's words, the colossal demonic effigy remained motionless in place.

But just a moment later, a "whoosh" sound was heard, and the demonic effigy shattered and dispersed. Amidst countless rolling masses of black energy, an old man with a stern expression floated down from it.

It was none other than Che Qigong, the old devil!

Han Li witnessed all of this, and after a swift turn of thought, he stood to the side with arms crossed, observing coldly.

"Hmph, you've certainly hidden yourself well, only revealing today that you've mastered the Qianji Great Art. Leaving aside whether this divine ability is truly as heaven-defying as rumored, judging by your tone just now, it seems you've separately researched a method to extract Chaos Qi. How am I to know if this is true? The original extraction method was only developed by a few of us working together. Now you claim to achieve this alone? Do you really think this old man will believe you so easily?" Che Qigong's face was ashen, and he spoke without a trace of emotion.

"My discovery of the fatal flaw in the original method was also due to a fortunate coincidence. As for whether it's true or false, just let me point out one or two things, and you will naturally understand the truth. If you believe what I, Feng, say is untrue, then at worst, we'll just have a big fight here. At that point, it will only benefit that scoundrel, Bloodlight." The burly man replied with a cold laugh.

"Alright, this old man will listen to what you have to say. But if your words prove false, then..." Upon hearing the name "Bloodlight," Che Qigong's expression instantly turned ferocious, and he quickly made a decision, speaking with a cold snort.

"That's a wise move. If I, Feng, can indeed provide an alternative extraction method, I want to keep one-third of the obtained Chaos Qi for myself. That's not too much, is it?" The burly man clapped his hands and laughed heartily, stating his condition in an undeniable tone.

"We can discuss that after you've proven your claims," Che Qigong said coldly, unmoved.

Feng Xie paid it no mind. With a slight movement of his lips, he directly transmitted a message to the old man.

Han Li's eyebrow twitched slightly, but he also remained silent.

A day later, above a vast, hazy mountain range, a ball of black light was flying in and out of sight at a terrifying speed.

Within the black light, an ugly old man was constantly propelling his escape light. It was Master Heiyu, who had separated from Han Li some time ago.

Judging by his focused haste, he seemed genuinely eager to return to Holy Island.

Not far ahead, black silhouettes appeared: two rare, colossal peaks, approximately ten thousand zhang high, stood side by side, blocking the path.

Master Heiyu's eyes flickered, and he casually urged his escape light forward, rocketing towards the gap between the two peaks, intending to fly directly through the middle.

After a few flashes, the black light plunged into the space between the two peaks, and after a tremor, it was about to bore straight through.

It was at this moment that an unexpected change occurred!

Without any warning, the two peaks suddenly emitted two earth-shattering roars. After shaking violently, both mountain bodies simultaneously tilted and fiercely pressed down towards Master Heiyu's position.

Even before the mountain bodies truly crashed onto the black escape light, a cascade of rocks and debris rained down like a torrent.
