Chapter 1532: Jade Terrace

**Volume Seven: Traversing the Human Realm — Volume Nine: The Hundred Races of the Spirit Realm**

The moment the black lightning struck Han Li, he felt his surroundings blur slightly before he was transported away in a dizzying whirl.

Fortunately, he was extremely familiar with teleportation. The moment his form reappeared, he immediately suppressed the dizzying discomfort, formed a hand seal to revert to his human shape, and simultaneously flicked his sleeve.

A hazy gray glow swept out, instantly enveloping and protecting both him and the woman, Yan Li, who had not yet recovered her senses.

At this point, he carefully surveyed his surroundings. They found themselves on a high platform constructed from beautiful jade.

Around the platform stood over ten azure stone pillars, each intricately carved with faint runes swirling and flickering on their surfaces.

This platform was actually a small array.

As these stone pillars flickered, they formed an unusually dense, flowing white light barrier that enveloped the entire platform. Outside the light barrier, black mist swirled, making it impossible to see anything clearly.

Fortunately, all the mist was blocked outside. The same situation was apparent when looking upwards.

Han Li's brow furrowed involuntarily.

"Brother Han, where is this...?" Yan Li finally recovered from the teleportation dizziness. Seeing the strange surroundings, her face paled slightly.

"It seems we've been pulled elsewhere by that ghostly mist," Han Li said, appearing quite calm.

"So, this isn't the Underworld River anymore?" Yan Li asked, a surge of joy welling up within her.

"That's hard to say," Han Li replied cautiously, shaking his head. "Based on my previous teleportation experiences, it doesn't seem like an ultra-long-distance or cross-realm teleportation. We should still be within the Underworld River realm."

Hearing this, Yan Li's face showed great disappointment. But then she suddenly remembered something, and her expression changed drastically as she cried out softly.

"Oh no," she exclaimed, her face paling further. "Junior Sister Yuan is still outside the black mist and wasn't teleported here either. Doesn't that mean she's separated from us?"

"Fellow Daoist, there's no need to worry," Han Li said in a deep voice. "With Miss Yuan's resourcefulness, she'll be fine even alone. Instead, we must first figure out where we are. As long as we haven't left the Underworld River realm, finding Fellow Daoist Yuan won't be difficult."

Hearing Han Li's reassurance, the anxiety on Yan Li's face lessened slightly.

"My junior sister and I have rarely been separated since we began our cultivation," Yan Li explained. "Not seeing Junior Sister Yuan just now made me lose my composure a bit. I hope Brother Han doesn't find it amusing."

"It's nothing," Han Li replied with a wry smile. "Fellow Daoist Yan and Miss Yuan have a deep sisterly bond; it's only natural. However, even if you're worried about Fellow Daoist Yuan, we must first resolve our own predicament." After a quick glance around, he took a few steps forward, approaching one of the stone pillars.

He observed the runes on the pillar with both eyes, then turned his head to gaze intently outside the light barrier.

Blue light flickered in his eyes as his Bright Clarity Spirit Eye ability was instantly activated.

Although the black mist was unusually dense, it was still pierced through by his Spirit Eye ability, allowing him to see the situation within the black mist clearly.

"Oh?" Han Li's expression shifted, and he let out a soft exclamation.

"Brother Han, what did you discover?" Yan Li asked, walking over with concern.

"Aside from this platform we're on," Han Li said slowly, taking a deep breath, "there are six other identical structures nearby, forming a circle. Furthermore, we seem to be inside a mountain cavern."

"A mountain cavern?" Yan Li muttered, her delicate brows furrowing. "If we haven't left the Underworld River realm, who would build these things in such a place?"

"That's certainly hard to guess," Han Li said, equally puzzled and uncertain. "But what I'm more interested in is how this person manipulated the ghostly mist to pull us here out of thin air. Perhaps it has something to do with the Rahu Beast."

"Merely guessing won't get us anywhere," Yan Li said with a sigh. "But we can't just wait here, can we?"

"Of course not," Han Li replied, rubbing his chin with certainty. "Who knows if the owner of this place is benevolent or malevolent? This place might be a protective barrier, or it could just as easily be a cage. Let's leave here first. I just looked at the runes on those pillars; they are unusually profound. With my understanding of formations, I can't comprehend most of them. We'll have to break out of here with brute force."

"Is this restriction truly so profound?" Yan Li pondered for a moment, then spoke with some confidence. "I, your junior sister, also studied some formation arts in the past. Let me take a look too."

"Oh, Miss Yan, if you can really unravel this restriction, that would be for the best," Han Li said, surprised, then smiled and moved aside.

Yan Li didn't stand on ceremony. She immediately walked to the pillar and observed it carefully. As her eyes flickered, she became completely absorbed by the runes.

Meanwhile, Han Li clasped his hands behind his back and continued to meticulously examine various points outside the light barrier, a thoughtful expression occasionally flickering in his eyes.

After about a cup of tea's time, Yan Li exhaled, her face pale, and averted her gaze. She forced a smile at Han Li.

"I'm afraid I've proven myself foolish, Brother Han," she said. "This restriction is far more profound than I expected. I have no clue at all, and I'm afraid I'm powerless."

"No matter, if it doesn't work," Han Li said, not bothered in the least, as if he had somewhat anticipated this. With a flick of his sleeve, a clear ringing sound immediately emanated, and a small golden sword, about an inch long, shot out.

After hovering above Han Li's head, the flying sword instantly transformed into a three-foot-long weapon, gleaming with golden light and exuding a chilling aura.

"Go!"

Han Li pointed his finger at the white light barrier in front of him and let out a low cry.

A golden light flashed above him, and the flying sword transformed into a startling rainbow, shooting out and striking fiercely against the light barrier.

With a muffled thud, as golden and white light flickered, the golden rainbow revealed its original form and was unceremoniously bounced back.

Han Li's expression changed drastically. He quickly pointed his finger, fixing the flying sword in mid-air once more.

Although he had guessed this light barrier was extraordinary, he had not anticipated it would be so tough. It seemed his Azure Bamboo Cloudswarm Sword had no effect on it whatsoever.

Yan Li, witnessing this from the side, was filled with astonishment. Without much thought, she also opened her mouth and spat out a black plantain fan, which she fiercely fanned towards the light barrier.

Pitch-black flames surged forth, but the same scene unfolded.

The moment the flames touched the light barrier, they were instantly reflected back by a flash of white light, apparently unable to affect the light barrier at all.

Yan Li gasped, inhaling sharply.

"How can this restriction be so powerful, so difficult to break?" she exclaimed.

Han Li pondered for a moment, then raised an arm, revealing a hand as black as ink.

He spread his five fingers and pressed them firmly against the light barrier.

Almost instantaneously, streams of gray light surged forth from Han Li's hand.

The light barrier, which had seemed indestructible, began to hum faintly after the gray light swept over it.

The surface of the light barrier began to ripple and undulate.

Han Li's lips curled into a faint smile.

Just as he had thought, as long as it was a restriction containing the five elements, his Primordial Magnetic Divine Light would surely have an effect.

Thinking this, Han Li mobilized all his spiritual power. The light surging from his hand became increasingly dazzling, and the white light barrier's undulations grew more intense.

The entire light barrier, with Han Li's palm as its center, began to twist and deform.

Yan Li, witnessing this from the side, widened her beautiful eyes slightly, her face filled with surprise and joy.

Although she had seen Han Li use the Primordial Magnetic Divine Light before and knew its power was considerable, she had never imagined that this divine light would have such a miraculous effect in breaking restrictions.

After a short while, a muffled sound rang out, and the entire light barrier, twisted by the Primordial Magnetic Divine Light, finally shattered inch by inch.

The black mist from outside immediately poured onto the white jade platform.

Without hesitation, Han Li leaped up, transforming once again into a large azure roc and taking flight. Yan Li, also prepared, flicked her azure long feather, transforming it into a ball of azure light that enveloped her, and she too flew into the air, closely following Han Li.

Han Li had already observed the surrounding situation earlier, so after transforming into the roc, he unhesitatingly fled towards a certain direction within the black mist.

After a few flashes, their surroundings suddenly brightened, and another barrier, colored azure and yellow, appeared.

However, Han Li could tell at a glance that this barrier was merely an unusually simple isolation restriction. Therefore, the transformed roc unhesitatingly clawed downwards with one of its talons.

With a crisp ripping sound, the barrier was easily torn open.

Han Li's figure flickered, and he arrived on a rocky patch of ground on the other side of the barrier. Then, with a flash of azure light, he reverted to human form and steadied himself.

Yan Li remained close behind, also landing on the ground right after him.

Han Li quickly turned around to look.

He saw that the azure and yellow barrier, which had just been torn open, had instantly mended itself, once again isolating the black mist that had attempted to follow them through.

Only then did Han Li's heart relax slightly.

Just then, Yan Li let out a low cry.

"Oh, Brother Han, there's a person here!" she exclaimed. "Should we go in and take a look?"

Han Li's heart trembled upon hearing this, and he quickly turned to look in the direction Yan Li indicated.

He saw that several tens of feet away, on an azure stone wall, there was a passage emitting a milky white glow.

Han Li's brow twitched. He then carefully surveyed the left and right sides, and only then did he realize with a start!

They were actually on a protruding platform of a cliff, and the jade platforms seemed to be below it.

Gazing at the cave entrance, Han Li didn't immediately go over. Instead, after a slight consideration, he flicked a finger out of his sleeve.

After two soft "poof-poof" sounds, two golden flowers shot out. After hovering once, they transformed into two fist-sized golden beetles and shot towards the cave entrance.

Han Li then sat cross-legged on the ground and closed his eyes in silence.

Seeing this, Yan Li knew Han Li was indeed sending out spiritual insects to investigate the situation inside the cave, so she immediately waited quietly by his side.

After about the time it takes to eat a meal, Han Li's face suddenly turned pale, and he abruptly opened his eyes and leaped to his feet.

"This is bad," he exclaimed. "There's someone in the cave, and their cultivation is unfathomably deep. My spiritual insects were easily captured and trapped by this person."

The moment Han Li finished speaking, an unusually ancient voice resonated from all directions.

"I was wondering why there was a slight problem with my Seven Gates Locking Yin Formation," the voice said. "So, it turns out I have guests in my residence. Since you two have come all this way, why not enter the cave for a chat?"
