Chapter 1156: Capturing the Demon

## Volume Six: Spirit Treasures!

With a flick of his five fingers, golden electric dragons shot out from his arm, directly colliding with the aggressively approaching black python.

“Evil-Dispelling Divine Thunder!”

When Grandmaster Extreme Yin saw this, his heart lurched. He hastily tried to cast another spell, but it was already too late.

The golden dragons lunged at the black python with a resounding roar.

Amidst the flashing golden light, the black python’s body was enveloped by countless golden arcs, dissipating and vanishing in the blink of an eye.

The Evil-Dispelling Divine Thunder's power to subdue evil was no joke.

Grandmaster Extreme Yin’s face flushed with rage. He immediately slapped the storage pouch at his waist.

Instantly, a deep hum reverberated as a foot-long crimson light shot out from the pouch opening. With a flicker, it appeared above Han Li's head, transforming into a long blood-red blade that slashed downwards.

Even before the blade light descended, a thick, bloody stench assailed him.

Han Li's expression darkened. He raised his neck, opened his mouth, and a small golden sword likewise shot out from his body.

With a 'clang,' as the two lights intertwined, the blood-red blade let out a mournful cry before being sliced in two by the golden flying sword. Its remnants plummeted downwards. “Impossible!”

At this, Grandmaster Extreme Yin’s expression changed dramatically, and he snapped out of his previous euphoria somewhat.

In this stone chamber, the restriction on spiritual sense seemed to have no effect.

Slightly startled and suspicious, he immediately swept his spiritual sense towards Han Li.

Han Li, already treating Grandmaster Extreme Yin as a dead man, had no intention of concealing his cultivation. His immensely powerful spiritual energy circulated uninhibitedly within him.

As a result, after the old demon Extreme Yin scanned him, his expression naturally became wonderfully varied.

First, he was stunned, then somewhat bewildered, but immediately a look of disbelief appeared. After sweeping his spiritual sense carefully over Han Li several more times, his face turned pale green.

“You are already at the late Nascent Soul stage!”

Grandmaster Extreme Yin practically squeezed out each word, cold sweat instantly drenching his back!

“Hmph, what good is knowing this now? It would be better to remain ignorant. But since you relentlessly pursued me for the Virtual Sky Cauldron back then, I shall let you die by this cauldron, which can be considered fulfilling your wish.” Han Li recalled the past events, his killing intent surging, and spoke with eerie coldness.

Immediately, he opened his mouth, and a ball of green light shot out. After spinning, an ancient-looking small cauldron emerged.

It was precisely the Virtual Sky Cauldron!

Even though Grandmaster Extreme Yin’s mind was in turmoil, feeling as if he were dreaming due to Han Li’s late Nascent Soul cultivation, upon hearing Han Li's words and seeing the Virtual Sky Cauldron appear, he instantly knew things were dire and naturally wouldn't stand by and wait for death.

He immediately gritted his teeth, his figure abruptly spinning on the spot. Swathes of dark yin energy emanated from him, instantly filling most of the stone chamber. Wails of ghosts and wolves simultaneously erupted, and tall ghostly figures flickered in and out of sight within the black mist.

Grandmaster Extreme Yin, in desperation, circulated his Profound Yin Demonic Art to its extreme and released the eighteen Heavenly Capital Corpse Puppets he had refined for hundreds of years. However, he dared not unleash demonic energy to attack Han Li, and instead, hesitated.

Han Li, however, gave a cold smile.

Although the Profound Yin Demonic Qi created a thick, dark haze, under his spiritual eyes, the situation was perfectly clear.

Without further ado, he pointed a single finger at the Virtual Sky Cauldron in front of him.

The small cauldron pulsed with clear light. From its top, sprays of fine, clear threads shot out, seemingly endless, and in the blink of an eye, they formed a gigantic green net that hovered above the stone chamber.

A chill struck Grandmaster Extreme Yin's heart. Without time to think, he quickly chanted a spell.

The nearby demonic shadows flickered, and over a dozen Heavenly Capital Corpse Puppets surged out of the dark clouds, shooting directly towards the depths of the stone chamber, flailing their arms as if to tear the clear net apart.

Han Li remained expressionless, but he lightly flicked his finger at the small cauldron in front of him.

With a soft 'clink,' the green net suddenly blazed with blinding light. A layer of blue ice flame eerily materialized on the net, then solidified, instantly transforming into a dozen dazzling blue firebirds that plunged headfirst into the charging corpse puppets.

These Heavenly Capital Corpse Puppets didn't even utter a sound. Within the blue flames, they instantly transformed into a dozen grotesque ice sculptures, plummeting from the air and shattering into pieces.

At this moment, the threads on the clear net suddenly vibrated, and with a burst of blue light, countless fist-sized blue fireballs shot out from the net, densely raining down towards the demonic energy below. The black mist churned violently, transforming into countless bowl-sized black snakes that lunged at the fireballs in the air.

The moment they made contact, the blue fireballs 'popped' and exploded on their own, and a vast expanse of blue cold mist instantly filled the entire stone chamber.

Immediately, an intense chill permeated the stone chamber. The surrounding walls and objects quickly became covered in thick layers of ice.

Under the sparkling crystal light, the stone chamber was completely transformed into a frozen land.

Under the shroud of blue cold mist, the black snakes, without the slightest resistance, one by one turned into ice sculptures, which then shattered and disintegrated. The remaining demonic energy, under the suppression of the cold mist, dissipated, faintly revealing Grandmaster Extreme Yin within. In this situation, the old demon clearly could not hold on for much longer.

Grandmaster Extreme Yin naturally knew the situation was dire. Without time to think, he let out a piercing shriek from his mouth, then opened it and spat out a spherical bead as black as ink.

The moment the bead appeared, the old demon bit the tip of his tongue and spat a mouthful of vital blood onto it.

The spherical bead instantly trembled, transforming into a mass of pitch-black demonic flames that encircled the old demon, enveloping Grandmaster Extreme Yin within a layer of dark fire.

This was precisely the 'Heavenly Capital Corpse Fire' that the old demon relied on as his ultimate killing move.

After unleashing this divine ability, the old demon regained some confidence. His figure flickered, and he wrapped the remaining demonic energy around himself, transforming into a ball of dark fire that shot into the air, sweeping directly towards the stone chamber's entrance, seemingly trying to force his way out and escape.

Indeed, the power of this Heavenly Capital Corpse Fire was not to be underestimated. Upon contact with it, the blue cold mist emitted a low muffled sound and was temporarily unable to freeze the old demon, allowing him to burst out of the blue mist after a few flashes, reaching the vicinity of the entrance in an instant.

Han Li saw this scene without any change in expression, but his heart prompted the Spirit Treasure Art.

Suddenly, clear light flared violently at the stone door. Countless clear threads shot out from the nearby walls, intertwining and flashing, instantly sealing off the entrance.

“Ah!” Grandmaster Extreme Yin's heart sank upon seeing this.

But just then, he suddenly felt a chill from above his head. Startled, he couldn't help but look up.

He didn't know when, but high above his head, a giant ice lotus was forming on the clear silk net, sparkling with dazzling blue light, exceptionally beautiful, and perfectly positioned to cover the old demon below.

“Not good!” The old demon's heart jolted. He hastily initiated his escape light, intending to immediately evade the lotus's coverage.

But just then, from the ground beneath his feet, two sprays of clear threads suddenly shot out, splitting left and right, instantly coiling tightly around his ankles.

Grandmaster Extreme Yin's figure instantly stiffened, unable to move from his spot. The clear threads, however, continued to spread upwards from his ankles to his calves, enveloping his entire lower body in the blink of an eye.

Although the black flames continued to burn fiercely on the old demon's body, these spirit threads still glowed with clear light, completely unafraid of the fire.

Almost simultaneously, the blue ice lotus above the stone chamber rotated and slowly pressed downwards.

At this, the old demon's soul nearly scattered.

Even if his Heavenly Capital Corpse Fire had some power, how could it truly withstand the might of the Profound Blue Ice Flames?

In his desperation, he opened his mouth and spat out a dim, black jade pendant.

But before this treasure could unleash its power, a whooshing sound echoed loudly in the nearby air, and another spray of green threads eerily shot out.

With a flash, they coiled around the small jade pendant.

Grandmaster Extreme Yin was horrified. He quickly moved his spiritual sense, intending to activate the jade pendant.

But after the threads flashed, he instantly lost connection with the treasure.

Then, the clear threads coiled and pulled, carrying the jade pendant back towards the Virtual Sky Cauldron.

The clear threads, along with the jade pendant, flashed on the cauldron's wall and eerily merged into the small cauldron. It was thus absorbed.

Grandmaster Extreme Yin's face turned ashen upon seeing this scene.

Although he desperately tried to activate the Heavenly Capital Corpse Fire on his body and consecutively deployed two other treasures to resist the ice lotus in the air, it was merely a dying struggle.

As the blue ice lotus descended, a layer of blue light-flames burst forth from the ice lotus's center.

The black corpse fire on the old demon's body, upon contact and intertwining with the Profound Blue Ice Flames, was overwhelmed by the blue flames, staggering back and forth. After a series of frantic, firecracker-like explosions, the black corpse fire was worn down by the cold energy to a dying flicker, on the verge of extinction at any moment.

During this time, the old demon continuously cast several secret arts, hoping to shake off the clear threads and escape, but it was utterly futile.

When the last wisp of corpse fire extinguished, the blue lotus finally descended.

Despite Grandmaster Extreme Yin's desperate struggles, his entire body, once enveloped by the extreme cold energy, was completely frozen with a crisp 'crackle,' encased within a block of several-zhang-tall blue crystal ice, his face filled with a mixture of fear and terror.

From the initial attack until the old demon's capture, Han Li used no other treasures besides the Virtual Sky Cauldron, and his feet remained rooted to the spot, not moving an inch. Seeing the old demon confined, Han Li gave a cold laugh and flicked his finger at the cauldron once more.

The clear threads throughout the stone chamber all trembled, transforming into streams of shimmering light that surged back into the cauldron, whose surface pulsed with spiritual radiance.

Seeing this, Han Li unceremoniously opened his mouth and reabsorbed the cauldron into his body. Only then did his gaze turn towards Grandmaster Extreme Yin in the blue ice. He chuckled softly, a half-smile appearing on his face, yet his eyes remained incredibly cold, devoid of any emotion.

With a flicker of his figure, Han Li floated effortlessly before the blue ice. Without a word, he shook his sleeve, and a buzzing sound erupted as over a dozen small golden swords shot out. The flying swords, after a momentary hover and spin in the air, transformed into several-feet-long golden sword lights, poised to hack down en masse upon the blue ice below, intending to completely dismember the sealed Grandmaster Extreme Yin.

“Wait, Fellow Daoist Han! My entire clan was annihilated by this person. May I, Man, personally kill this fiend?” A voice, somewhat familiar to Han Li, suddenly came from a corner of the stone chamber.

Han Li's heart stirred. He halted the flying swords, squinted his eyes, and looked towards the sound.

From within the thick ice layer, sealed by the cold energy, a golden light suddenly flashed, and a small fist directly pierced through the ice wall. The ice layer then shattered inch by inch.

A golden-glowing Nascent Soul shot out from the shattered ice. After a single rotation, it hovered in the void, its eyes fixed directly on Han Li.
